‘Jaat' Box Office collection day 14: Sunny Deol's action drama earns Rs 1.09 Crore, its LOWEST so far as it struggles to cross Rs 80 Crore mark
Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda 's action film 'Jaat' had a promising start at the cinemas, but it's now finding it tough to maintain that momentum. Two weeks in, the movie has started to lose steam at the box office. Despite the hype and star power, it seems like 'Jaat' is struggling to reach the Rs 80 crore mark, let alone dream of entering the Rs 100 crore club . ' Jaat' Box Office Collection Day 14: Lowest earning yet According to Sacnilk, as per the earlyeastimates the film collected just Rs 1.09 crore on its second Wednesday (Day 14), making it the film's lowest single-day collection so far. With this, the total India net stands at Rs 79.22 crore. It's close to crossing Rs 80 crore, but the slowdown is quite clear. On Wednesday, 23 April 2025, the film saw an overall Hindi occupancy of 8.81%. Morning shows had fewer viewers, and while numbers picked up slightly by the evening and night, they were still weaker than Day 13. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Affordable and Modern Container Homes in New Zealand: 2025 Insights and Models LocalPlan Learn More Undo Competing with Akshay Kumar 's ' Kesari Chapter 2 ' One reason for the dip is the tough competition from Akshay Kumar's new release, 'Kesari Chapter 2'. That film is doing well with audiences and has been steadily climbing the charts. As per Sacnilk's early estimates, it earned Rs 3.20 crore on Day 6, (23rd April, Wednesday) bringing its total to Rs 42.20 crore. 'Jaat' released on 10 April 2025 and enjoyed a solid run in its first week. But new releases and audience choices are starting to affect its box office strength. A special win for Sunny While 'Jaat' may be slowing down, it has still given Sunny Deol an important victory. The film has officially beaten the lifetime collection of his iconic 2001 hit 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha', which earned Rs 76.65 crore. This makes 'Jaat' his second-highest earner after 'Gadar 2', which made a massive Rs 525.7 crore in 2023. That's a big deal, especially since 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' held that record for over 20 years. It also shows Sunny Deol's ongoing popularity across different generations of movie lovers. Will 'Jaat' hit Rs 100 Crore? With numbers dropping and fresh releases arriving every week, it now seems difficult for 'Jaat' to reach the golden Rs 100 crore mark. The coming weekend will be key. If the film can manage to draw in families or action lovers for another round, it could see a slight boost. But if 'Kesari Chapter 2' continues to dominate, 'Jaat' might get pushed further down the charts. Sunny Deol Gets Real About 'Jaat', Pressure Post-Gadar 2 & Why He STILL Hates Dancing | EXCLUSIVE

Sunny Deol's Jaat beats Gadar-Ek Prem Katha to become his second biggest hit after Gadar 2
Sunny Deol has proved, once again, that he remains a formidable force at the box office. His latest release, Jaat, has officially overtaken the iconic Gadar: Ek Prem Katha to become the second biggest hit of his career. In just 13 days, Jaat has minted an impressive Rs 78.20 crore at the domestic box office, surpassing Gadar's lifetime collection of Rs 76.65 crore — a record that stood strong for over two decades. Jaideep Ahlawat Reveals Hilarious Dance Debut Saga In Most Candid Interview | Jewel Thief Exclusive The success of Jaat highlights Sunny's enduring connection with audiences, especially in the heartland belt where his action-packed, emotionally charged roles continue to strike a chord. While the film's numbers have been climbing steadily, it still trails behind his all-time biggest blockbuster, Gadar 2 , which stormed the box office in 2023 with a staggering Rs 525.7 crore collection, rewriting records and reaffirming Sunny's superstar status. What makes this milestone even more special is the nostalgia attached to Gadar, a film that became a cultural phenomenon back in 2001. For Jaat to cross that benchmark reflects Sunny's ability to stay relevant across generations, with audiences old and new cheering for his larger-than-life characters. And the actor isn't slowing down anytime soon. Sunny has a power-packed lineup ahead, starting with Ramayan, where he'll be seen playing Hanuman alongside Ranbir Kapoor's Lord Ram — a casting choice that has already sparked massive buzz. Then there's Border 2 , the long-awaited sequel to his 1997 war epic, featuring an ensemble cast of Varun Dhawan , Diljit Dosanjh , and Ahan Shetty. Also on the cards is Lahore 1947, a much-anticipated collaboration with Aamir Khan, which promises to be a period drama steeped in history and high-voltage drama. Sunny also has a film called Baap which would see him reuniting with his old friends like Jackie Shroff , Sanjay Dutt and Mithun Chakraborthy. But there has been no buzz about the film for a long time. Everyone felt that post the success of Gadar 2 , the film will see the light of the day but that hasn't happened till now. The film is backed by choregrapher turned filmmaker Ahmed Khan.

Jaat box office collection day 12: Sunny Deol's actioner set to overtake original Gadar, outperforms Salman Khan's Sikandar
Jaat box office collection day 12: Rebutting speculations that the blockbuster success of Gadar 2 was just a fluke that happened due to the enduring popularity of the original Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2000), Bollywood actor Sunny Deol has once again proven that he is a bona fide star, capable of drawing in the masses to cinema halls on his own. The ongoing impressive performance of his latest actioner Jaat, helmed by Gopichand Malineni, appears to be a testament to Sunny's box office dominance, with the movie faring decently well on its 12th day in theatres as well. On Monday, Jaat recorded an India nett collection of Rs 1.86 crore, according to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk. Although this marked a 62.8 per cent dip compared to its Sunday earnings of Rs 5 crore, Jaat has performed better than Salman Khan 's Sikandar on the corresponding day. On its second Monday in theatres, Sikandar had minted only Rs 1.75 crore, despite debuting at Rs 26 crore against Jaat's comparatively smaller Rs 9.5 crore. With this, Jaat's total domestic nett collection has reached Rs 76.26 crore, just Rs 39 lakh shy of the 2000 Gadar's lifetime earnings of Rs 76.65 crore. Jaat's worldwide gross currently stands at Rs 98.7 crore. Watch Jaat trailer here: During the day, the Sunny Deol -starrer recorded an overall occupancy of 10.36 per cent in the Hindi market. While the morning shows commenced at just 5.77 per cent, the rate improved as the day unfolded, albeit just marginally, and the afternoon shows recorded 10.01 per cent occupancy. Even as the evening shows saw 12.06 per cent occupancy, the night screenings registered 13.60 per cent. Also starring Randeep Hooda, Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher and Vineet Kumar Singh, the movie is penned by director Gopichand Malineni himself. While Thaman S has crafted its music, the movie boasts cinematography by Rishi Punjabi and editing by Navin Nooli. In her review of the movie, SCREEN's Shubhra Gupta wrote, 'Sacrificed at the altar of all that gruesome blood-letting and mutilated bodies hanging from the rafters and savaged women forced to huddle together in this Sunny Deol-Randeep Hooda-starrer is coherence and plot.'
