Xbox will let you play Silksong at Gamescom in August
Microsoft will let Gamescom attendees play a demo of the long-awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong on the new ROG Xbox Ally handhelds. It's part of more than 20 titles that will be available at the Xbox booth at Gamescom, including a new theater experience to demonstrate The Outer Worlds 2. Silksong will be available to play on the new Xbox Ally devices at Gamescom, just months after Xbox president Sarah Bond revealed in June that Silksong will be available 'at launch and in Game Pass' when Asus' new handhelds launch later this year. Gamescom attendees will also get to try out Microsoft's new Xbox and Windows UI, as well as play Roblox, Sea of Thieves, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 on the new Xbox Ally handhelds. Grounded 2 will also be at Gamescom, as well as the first public hands-on of Ninja Gaiden 4. We've been waiting three years to get a Silksong release date, after Microsoft originally said in 2022 that the sequel to the indie side-scrolling action platformer was coming within 12 months. A playable demo at Gamescom sure makes it even more likely that Silksong will debut later this year. Posts from this author will be added to your daily email digest and your homepage feed. Image via HoYoverse. Honkai: Star Rail is now finally collaborating with Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. There have been many contemporary collaborations lined-up in the gaming world, but no other crossovers managed to build such hype as Honkai: Star Rail. During a teaser trailer at Gamescom 2024 last year, Honkai: Star Rail formally revealed the game's first significant collaboration. As its first formal partnership, HoYoverse announced that Star Rail would be joining forces with the well-known Japanese multimedia franchise Fate/Stay Night. And now it's finally here. Honkai: Star Rail X Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works collab - Everything you need to know HoYoverse has recently announced that the Fate and Star Rail partnership will finally launch on July have previously suggested that new playable characters from the Fate universe will be included in the crossover event, but HoYoverse has not yet provided many details. Now with two playable characters, Honkai: Star Rail is finally revealing the highly anticipated event. At the end of a recent Honkai: Star Rail performance, HoYoverse formally announced the Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail special event. Both Archer and Saber from Fate/Stay Night will be playable characters during the event as part of the collaboration, and Archer will also be offered as a free login reward. During the collaboration, Honkai: Star Rail will hold a special in-game event centered around the Fate characters in addition to the two new playable characters. For the event, players will head back to Penacony, where the Trailblazer will participate in the Penaconian Holy Grail War. The event blurb also teases a number of Fate franchise elements that will be used during the event, such as Noble Phantasms, Heroic Spirits, and Command Seals. As anticipated by the previous leaks, the game will also give away a free copy of Archer during the special event, in addition to both characters appearing as new banners. Players must use the in-game Star Rail Pass in order to have the chance to pull Saber or Archer. Those who wish to use Archer or Saber will want to draw multiples in order to power them up to their maximum potential, even though Honkai is giving them away.
