By Sunday evening, Oasis will have played to over 160,000 people in Croke Park, before heading off to Canada, the US and Mexico ahead of a brief return to London in September. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday, Bonehead posted a picture with drummer Joey Waronker swimming in the Irish Sea, captioned "Yes Dublin". On Instagram, the musician shared some more photos, including one of the Poolbeg Chimneys, a Dublin landmark. ‘See you in Dublin, bring the noise' – Oasis guitarist lands in Ireland ahead of gigs

Bonehead has re-joined Oasis alongside the Gallagher brothers and members Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker for their reunion tour The countdown for the two sold-out Oasis gigs in Croke Park continues, with founding band member Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs sharing a photo of the Dublin coastline as the band prepares to touch down in Ireland for the first time since 2009. The guitarist has re-joined Oasis alongside the Gallagher brothers and members Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker for their reunion tour, which continues in Dublin this weekend. Sharing several Irish flag emojis and a view of the Dublin coast from a plane, the musician said: 'Bring on the noise." He also shared a photo of fans enjoying a previous gig on the tour, telling Irish fans: 'See you in Dublin, bring the noise.' According to NME, Noel Gallagher told fans in Cardiff that Arthurs is the one responsible for the reunion tour, saying: 'On guitar, if it wasn't for him, none of this would have happened.' Arthurs, a founding member of the band, played with Oasis for their first three albums before departing in 1999 and has played with Liam Gallagher's solo band in recent years. After a 16-year hiatus, the Gallagher brothers announced last August that they would perform together for the first time since the band's split in 2009. They will bring their highly anticipated Live '25 tour to Dublin for two sold-out nights on Saturday and Sunday, August 16 and 17. Extra rail services to Dublin are planned for the upcoming weekend as crowds are set to descend on Croke Park for the gigs. On the first night of the tour last month, the band thanked their fans for 'putting up with us over the years'. During the gig, Liam apologised to fans for how long it had taken for them to reunite. As they broke into fan-favourite Champagne Supernova, their final song of the evening, he said: 'Right you beautiful people, this is it. Nice one for putting up with us over the years, we know we've been difficult. A movie, produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, is being made in conjunction with the reunion tour. Formed in Manchester in 1991, the rock band was led by lead guitarist Noel and his brother, lead vocalist Liam, during their 18 years together. Oasis signed to independent record label Creation Records in 1993, rising to fame with the release of their debut chart-topping album Definitely Maybe on August 29 1994. They had hits with songs including Don't Look Back in Anger, Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall and Live Forever. Dig Out Your Soul, the band's last studio album, was released in 2008, just months before their dramatic split.

Oasis perform on stage during opening night of their 'Oasis Live '25' reunion tour. Friday, July 4, ... More 2025 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales 'Said it's good to be back, good to be back,' sang vocalist Liam Gallagher, improvising a bit as Oasis took to the stage Friday night in Cardiff, Wales with 'Hello,' the opening track from the band's 1995 sophomore studio effort (What's the Story) Morning Glory. It was the first Oasis performance in 16 years and the band - brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, who took to the stage hand in hand, guitarists Gem Archer and Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, bassist Andy Bell and drummer Joey Waronker - performed for about two hours in front of 62,000 as the 'Oasis Live '25' reunion tour kicked off at a sold out Principality Stadium. 'It was momentous for me and I think for a lot of people,' said Daniel Boczarski, a fan who travelled from Chicago, Illinois to Wales for the event. 'Especially culturally for the U.K. fans: to be there and see that they actually did pull this off after so many years was special,' he said. 'I saw grown men crying tears of joy and teenagers taking selfies,' said Boczarski, illustrating the group's cross-generational appeal. 'It was just a good, fun time. And that's what rock and roll should be about.' Noel Gallagher (left) and Liam Gallagher (right) take to the stage on opening night of the 'Oasis ... More Live '25' reunion tour. Friday, July 4, 2025 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales Fans bounced along as Oasis dusted off 'Acquiesce' second in the set, the B-side to the group's first U.K. #1 'Some Might Say,' which the band offered up two songs later. 'Acquiesce' also appeared on the 1998 Oasis compilation The Masterplan and was recently released as an acoustic remix, the first single from the group's forthcoming 30th anniversary reissue of (What's the Story) Morning Glory, due October 3, 2025 on CD or vinyl and for online streaming via Big Brother Recordings. Christian Madden handled keyboards with Alastair White (trombone), Joe Auckland (trumpet) and Steve Hamilton (saxophone) chipping in on 'Half the World Away.' Fans from around the world made the voyage to Cardiff to capture a moment in music history many thought would never happen, a reunion which moves to America with a sold out appearance August 28 at Chicago's Soldier Field before continuing abroad into late November. More 2025 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales 'For my friends and I, it's the trip of a lifetime. My friend Matt loves Oasis, so he couldn't miss it,' said Michael Hurcomb a photographer by trade who will be attending the upcoming Oasis performance as a fan in London on July 25, the first of a five night run at Wembley Stadium, making the trip from Toronto in the Canadian province of Ontario. 'My wife and I have never been to England and we were planning a group trip. So, when Oasis announced the tour we knew we had to go,' he said. 'We had to be up at 3AM to try to get tickets for Ireland. I had four tickets in my cart but, at the last minute, Ticketmaster didn't like that I had multiple tabs open and booted me out,' said Hurcomb, echoing the frustrations of fans globally with the ticketing giant during the initial on sale last October. 'At 4AM, the England shows went on sale and I got a really low queue number for Wembley. So, I waited it out and got outstanding seats.' Opening the encore with 'The Masterplan,' Oasis called it a night on stage in Cardiff in epic fashion. 'Right you beautiful people,' said Liam, introducing Oasis' closing rendition of 'Champagne Supernova' following 'Wonderwall.' 'This is it!'

British rock band Oasis reunite in Cardiff to thrill fans

CARDIFF - British rock band Oasis reunited in Cardiff on July 4 as the Gallagher brothers put more than 16 years of acrimony behind them to deliver a hit-paced set that took thousands of fans back to the optimism and swagger of the 1990s. The Manchester band defined the 'Britpop' revival of guitar music, before tensions between Noel Gallagher, the band's main songwriter, and his younger brother, lead singer Liam, led to its demise. The group walked onto the stage in the 74,500-capacity Principality Stadium and launched into Hello, sounding as tight as at the height of their fame. Interaction with the audience was minimal during the two-hour show. Interaction between the brothers was nonexistent until a very brief hug at the end. The crowd, largely comprising middle-aged fans revisiting their youth, sang along to hits including Cigarettes & Alcohol and Roll With It. At the end of Live Forever, a picture of Liverpool and Portugal footballer Diogo Jota, who was killed in a car accident on July 3, was shown on the screens behind the band. Oasis ended with Don't Look Back in Anger, Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova, all from their second album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, the biggest-selling record in Britain in the 1990s. 'Thank you for putting up with us over the years,' Liam said. The band had announced the shows nearly a year ago, setting off a frenzy for tickets. 'The thing that makes the Oasis reunion special is the thing that makes any reunion special: It has to be something that people really want and something that people thought they'd never see. And Oasis ticks both those boxes,' music journalist Mark Sutherland told Reuters. Fans started to gather early outside the stadium, where official Adidas-Oasis football shirts were on sale for £85 (S$148). 'They're more than a band, it's almost like a movement,' said Mr Matt Hobman, 48. 'It's like a piece of Britishness.' The Gallaghers were joined by original member Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, as well as Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker on stage. Many fans waited for hours in online queues to buy tickets last year, only to find prices had jumped when they eventually had a chance to get them. Britain's competition watchdog launched an investigation into Ticketmaster over the sale, including the use of 'dynamic pricing' to hike the cost to fans at the last minute. Those waiting for the gates to open had put any concerns about ticket prices far behind them. After playing two shows in Cardiff, the Oasis Live '25 tour will continue in the Gallaghers' home city of Manchester. It continues in Britain and Ireland, followed by shows across North and South America, Asia and Australia. REUTERS
