UAE Pilgrims Affairs Office begins trial operations of Hajj Camps
Full readiness for 6,228 pilgrims The office confirmed that all services and facilities are operating at 100% capacity, fully equipped to accommodate 6,228 UAE pilgrims. Preparations include high-standard infrastructure, advanced air conditioning, catering services, and comprehensive medical and administrative support—ensuring a safe and comfortable Hajj experience. Upgraded Facilities and Infrastructure This year's improvements feature a newly constructed mosque in Arafat with a capacity of over 400 worshippers, along with dedicated prayer rooms in every camp. These spaces are equipped with high-quality audio and video systems to broadcast the Arafat sermon and prayers. All camp areas have also been upgraded with high-efficiency air conditioning systems, shaded and landscaped walkways, and misting fans to reduce temperatures and prevent sunstroke. UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif Al Nahyan inspected the final preparations for the Emirati pilgrims' camps in the holy sites of Mina and Arafat ahead of the 2025 Hajj season, expressing full confidence in the provision of comfort and safety. The UAE Hajj Committee oversees the preparation of camps in Mina and Arafat, with round-the-clock monitoring to ensure the readiness of facilities and services- including housing and healthcare- in accordance with the standards approved by the UAE Hajj Affairs Office. The annual Hajj pilgrimage is observed annually during the last month of the Islamic lunar calendar. This year, worshipers are expected to head to Saudi Arabia to perform the holy rites between June 4 and 9.
