UAE Pilgrims Affairs Office begins trial operations of Hajj Camps
Full readiness for 6,228 pilgrims The office confirmed that all services and facilities are operating at 100% capacity, fully equipped to accommodate 6,228 UAE pilgrims. Preparations include high-standard infrastructure, advanced air conditioning, catering services, and comprehensive medical and administrative support—ensuring a safe and comfortable Hajj experience. Upgraded Facilities and Infrastructure This year's improvements feature a newly constructed mosque in Arafat with a capacity of over 400 worshippers, along with dedicated prayer rooms in every camp. These spaces are equipped with high-quality audio and video systems to broadcast the Arafat sermon and prayers. All camp areas have also been upgraded with high-efficiency air conditioning systems, shaded and landscaped walkways, and misting fans to reduce temperatures and prevent sunstroke. Leadership statement: Commitment to pilgrims' comfort His Excellency Dr Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat and Chairman of the UAE Pilgrims Affairs Office, emphasised the UAE's commitment to providing an optimal environment for pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease. He noted that all preparations were completed in record time and that the focus remains on enhancing service efficiency to ensure comfort and peace of mind for all pilgrims. Ongoing cooperation with Saudi authorities Dr. Al Darei also praised the close coordination with authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, highlighting that the UAE operates within an integrated plan that reflects the nation's dedication to excellence in caring for its pilgrims. Continued preparations for a smooth Hajj The UAE Pilgrims Affairs Office continues to manage field operations to organise the smooth movement of pilgrims within the holy sites. These efforts are part of a broader goal to deliver outstanding services that prioritize the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of all UAE pilgrims.
