Sheikha Fatima hails Al Nowais' UNWTO election

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and Mother of the Nation, has contributed to the 'Life Endowment' campaign by endowing an AED172 million building. The contribution will support patients with chronic illnesses through sustainable healthcare funding. Sheikha Fatima also directed the renaming of Deena Tower to Life Tower, underscoring the campaign's humanitarian mission. Sheikha Fatima affirmed that the UAE's values of generosity and compassion — instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan — continue to shape national efforts to support vulnerable communities. She also urged business leaders, philanthropists, and members of the public to contribute to the initiative, stressing that healthcare is a fundamental human right. The news follows Sunday's announcement on Sunday that AED115 million had been raised from 33,000 contributors within one week of the campaign's launch. Organised by the Endowments and Minors Funds Authority in collaboration with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, Emirates Red Crescent, and the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma'an, the Life Endowment campaign seeks to provide both financial and mental health support for those unable to access or afford necessary treatment.

22 May 2025 21:49 MUSCAT (WAM)Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), offered her condolences on Thursday to Honourable Lady, Sayyida Ahad bint Abdullah Al Busaidiyah, the wife of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman on the passing of her took place during H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak's visit and reception by the Honorable Lady and her accompanying delegation at Al Baraka Palace in the Omani capital, the reception, H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak expressed her heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to the Al Busaidi family and the brotherly Omani people.
