Dixie D'Amelio is the latest celebrity to embrace the sheer trend during the Cannes Film Festival. The social media star was seen at Le Majestic Hotel on Tuesday in Cannes for a special event by APM Monaco amid the ongoing film festival. D'Amelio opted for a sleeveless sheer floor-length dress by Georges Hobeika featuring nude fabric and embellished with floral elements on the bodice and skirt. The dress included a formfitting silhouette and a high neckline for added drama. The sheer skirt flowed to the floor. D'Amelio completed her look with sandal heels by Gianvito Rossi. As for her jewelry, D'Amelio went relatively minimalist save for a pair of earrings. The influencer regularly collaborates with stylist Siena Montesano Gones, who also curated D'Amelio's Global Gift Gala look from Monday's event. For the occasion, D'Amelio wore a custom Balenciaga dress in a berry tone with APM Monaco jewelry. D'Amelio's hair was styled by Marty Harper for Monday's event, while her makeup look was curated by artist Valeria Ferreira. With Tuesday's look, D'Amelio joins the likes of Dakota Johnson, Kristen Stewart and more who've styled sheer looks for their attire during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. Johnson wore a sheer Gucci dress to the 2025 Kering Women in Motion Awards on Sunday, while Stewart styled a sheer look from Chanel for the photo call of her directorial debut with 'The Chronology of Water.' The 2025 Cannes Film Festival concludes on Saturday. Films premiering at this year's festival include Wes Anderson's 'The Phoenician Scheme,' Julia Ducournau's 'Alpha' and Lynne Ramsay's 'Die, My Love.' Lebanese Actress Stephanie Atala Ties The Knot Wearing Bespoke Georges Hobeika

Photo: Supplied Lebanese actress Stephanie Atala has officially said 'I do' to her long-term partner and fellow singer Zef (Joseph Abboud) over the weekend, and naturally, it was a deeply heartfelt moment stitched into the details. Truly embodying the spirit of a summer bride, Stephanie tied the knot at the Saint John Marc Cathedral in Byblos, wearing a bespoke designer dress to ring in her special occasion. The actress wore a custom sculptural gown by the famed Lebanese designer Georges Hobeikha for her wedding ceremony. A dream dress for many, and one that turned heads for all the right reasons. Truly a day where Stephanie was the undisputed star, the dress featured the Maison's classic impeccable artistry and craftsmanship in what might just be the most covetable summer bridal look of the season. Photo: Supplied Naturally drawing attention to the white crepe wedding gown, the dress further told the significant story of the couple's love. Taking the form of a flattering mermaid silhouette, the dress featured delicate threadwork inspired by the ocean. A sure nod to their countless adventures at sea ( and a sweet nod to their beachside proposal), her veil spotlighted a cascade of shimmering hand-embroidered blue and white crystals, this time etched in the shape of dainty starfish symbols. Of course, echoing the same love for the ocean is her husband, Zef, who also wore a custom navy suit from the Lebanese house. He paired it with an unconventional tie that reminisces about sea harbours and sailing ropes, a final touch that perfectly became a day to remember forever.

Monochrome Monday: The Gulf Coast Edition

If you're looking for a shade that makes you feel expensive, confident, and just a little bit mysterious, Gulf Coast is your answer. Gulf Coast sits at the perfect intersection of blue and green - rich yet understated, bold yet effortless. It's the colour of deep lagoons, oxidised patina on aged bronze, and vintage jewels with stories to tell. Regal without being flashy, it has stood the test of time. The ancient Egyptians crushed malachite into pigment for sacred art (including Cleopatra's eyeshadow) as Art Deco designers infused it into everything from mosaics to the gowns of '50s Hollywood icons. It has never faded from fashion's consciousness. Now, Gulf Coast is having a moment. Think satin evening gowns, power blazers, and bold jewellery that add sophistication with a punch of personality. It's the ultimate transitional shade, effortlessly moving between seasons. Reem Acra | Heavenly Teal Gown Flowing drama? Check. Intricate embellishments? Double check. The plunging neckline, sheer embroidered fabric, and sweeping cape give it a regal, almost celestial quality. Sedra Jewellery | Nelumbo Bracelet A delicate nod to nature, this floral-inspired bracelet blooms against a moody blue backdrop. The refined metalwork and diamond accents make them feel ethereal, like frozen petals catching the light. Helena Magdalena | Madonna Scarf Draped like old Hollywood, the Madonna scarf adds a vintage, cinematic aura to any simple outfit. The lightweight, semi-sheer fabric cascades elegantly, utilizing movement and mystery. Amni Brazil | The Arpoador Dress The asymmetric top and high-waisted mini of the dress are crafted from beaded, circular appliqués that catch the light like rippling water. Fatale by Angie | Peacock Collection Dress Drawing from the majestic beauty of peacocks, the fashion label intertwines bohemian and couture in this intricately embroidered co-ord. The deep teal fabric, shimmering gold threadwork, and billowy bell sleeves make it feel straight out of a dream, perfect for dancing the night away. Hassa Jewellery | Small Flow Earrings in Turquoise & Line Flow Ring in Turquoise Inspired by the ocean, these abstract earrings and rings feel like waves captured in real time. Fluid, modern, and effortlessly cool, the mix of smooth enamel and gold creates a sharp contrast. Georges Hobeika | Couture Spring 2024 Gown A sculpted satin blazer meets a sheer crystal-embellished skirt in this show-stopping look. The bold Gulf Coast hue gives it a commanding presence, but the soft shimmer and Georges Hobeika's ethereal ethos keeps it unquestionably feminine. Bera Design | Gala in Tiffany Blue A pop of metallic teal against a monochromatic look? Instant sophistication. This leather clutch, with a metal-hardware top handle, feels both contemporary and edgy. It's perfect for day-to-night styling, depending on how you style it. Versace | Medusa Aevitas Teal Satin Crystal Pointed Platform Pumps These pumps are a 70s-inspired dream with a brassy attitude. The towering heel and chunky platform bring back dramatic, disco-era glam, but the sleek ankle strap and teal satin finish keep it fresh and modern. Whether paired with wide-leg denim or a slinky dress, they guarantee a statement with every step.

Georges Hobeika hosts Arab stars at Paris Haute Couture Week

DUBAI/ PARIS: Lebanese couturier Georges Hobeika showcased his Spring-Summer 2025 at Paris Haute Couture Week, with the likes of Emirati Egyptian TV personality Mahira Abdelaziz and Lebanese model Nour Rizk on hand to take in the show. For the latest updates, follow us on Instagram @ Billed as a tribute to his late mother, Marie Hobeika, the show kicked off with a series of all-black looks before transitioning into the glittering lighter-hued looks Hobeika is known for. Abdelaziz was also on hand as Schiaparelli opened Paris Haute Couture Week with a dazzling spectacle titled 'Icarus' under the gilded ceilings of the Petit Palais. Gleaming gold talismans, envisioned as suns, lined the runway — a nod to the myth of the boy who flew too close to the sun, The Associated Press reported. The collection embodied themes of risk-taking by subverting classic couture codes, daring to push boundaries. Unlike Icarus, however, this collection did not fall; it soared. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Marisa Berenson and Kelly Rutherford watched Kendall Jenner and other models walk with stately grace, deliberately evoking old-school couture shows' slow pacing. Daniel Roseberry's collection reimagined traditional couture codes with a provocative edge. Inspired by vintage ribbons, he turned soft hues like butter, saffron and 'toast' brown into bold baroque silhouettes that disrupted tradition. Meanwhile, designer Maria Grazia Chiuri delved into the storied archives of Christian Dior for her latest haute couture collection Monday, exploring the transformations of time, AP noted. The accomplished spring 2025 show — one of Chiuri's best in seasons — drew from the key silhouettes of Dior's iconic past designers, such as Yves Saint Laurent, and infusing them with her distinct contemporary vision. The show was a commentary on how fashion serves as a lens for understanding time. Key inspirations included the Trapèze line, originally conceived by Saint Laurent in 1958, and Christian Dior's Cigale silhouette from 1952, both updated with modern fabrics.
