Michael Bloomberg bought his daughter a $4M Hamptons home

It's been a big week for Georgina Bloomberg — and she has so much more to come. Not only did the 41-year-old equestrian daughter of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg take to Instagram late last week to share news of her near-term pregnancy, but she also just became the new owner of an East End home. Indeed, she's the secret owner of a Hamptons waterfront residence located just minutes from her father's palatial estate, sources told Gimme Shelter exclusively. The May 30 beach house purchase comes as the billionaire heiress — also an animal rights activist and philanthropist — and her longtime love, finance whiz Justin Waterman, are about to become parents together for the first time. Advertisement '2 week countdown begins today. I cannot wait to meet you baby girl,' Bloomberg told her 100,000 Instagram followers. Bloomberg also shares a child, Justin — born in 2013 — with her former love Ramero Quintana, an Argentine Olympic show jumping rider. 16 Bloomberg is an accomplished equestrian. Rise Media The new home is on Cold Point Road in Southampton and comes with 100 feet on the water. It was last asking $4.29 million and went into contract quickly — closing for $4 million, according to records. It was an all-cash deal, sources said. Designed by acclaimed local architect John David Rose, the home overlooks Cold Spring Pond and Peconic Bay beach. The sale sets a new pricing benchmark for the Cold Spring Point Beach Community. Advertisement There's no pool at the house, but there is an outdoor shower — and a boat dock in the backyard. And if Bloomberg doesn't feel like meandering over to her dad's estate, her home has access to community tennis courts, as well as pickleball and basketball courts, along with beach access. But she can still bring the kids to see grandpa — and quite easily, too. 16 A screened-in sitting room looks to wide views. Rise Media 16 There's also space for patio seating. Rise Media Advertisement 16 The grounds offer serene settings for her and her growing family. Rise Media 16 Kids of all ages will love the sandy beach. Rise Media The charming abode is just 'five minutes' away from her father's estate, which is known as Ballyshear. That ivy-covered Georgian mansion is 22,000 square feet and overlooks Peconic Bay. It was built in 1910, spans a massive 35 acres, and is adjacent to the National Golf Links of America in Shinnecock Hills, which has hosted many US Opens. Michael Bloomberg, a member of the club, plays there regularly. The size of Michael Bloomberg's estate makes his daughter's new home seem relatively tiny by comparison. Built in 2012, her two-story home is still a very roomy 3,000 square feet. Advertisement It features four bedrooms and 4.5 baths, and sits on one third of an acre. The home's open floor plan and large windows showcase bay and pond views 'from every room,' according to the listing. It all opens to a great room with a stone fireplace — and leads to a chef's kitchen, a butler's pantry and a dining area. The second floor features the primary suite with a covered porch ideal for morning coffee at sunrise. There's an additional 760 square feet of storage space in the attic. The listing rep was Douglas Elliman's Brenda Giufurta, who declined to comment.

Here's who's buying Andy Cohen's NYC penthouse

The year looks bright for Emmy-winning playwright Danny Strong, whose 'Chess' — the cult-favorite Cold War-era musical, with music from two members of ABBA — launches on Broadway this fall. But in the lead-up to the curtains opening, he'll also have a new home to call his own. Strong — also a screenwriter and actor recognizable for his roles in hit shows, like 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Mad Men' — and his partner, the actor/producer Caitlin Mehner, are buying Andy Cohen's West Village penthouse duplex, Gimme Shelter can reveal. The power couple have inked a contract for the Bravo honcho's beautifully decorated 2 Horatio St. aerie and are planning to close later this month. The final price is not yet known. We are so excited to be moving there,' said Strong, when contacted by Gimme Shelter, adding that the couple — new parents to their now 7-month-old daughter Maisie — need more space for their growing family. It's also an ideal spot for Strong to find inspiration for new projects. Past work also includes the writing of two 'Hunger Games' movies, 'The Butler,' 'Recount,' and the series 'Empire' and 'Dopesick.' Advertisement The 3,500-square-foot nest — last asking $12 million — is in a classic prewar building developed by Bing & Bing. The listing brokers were Ryan Serhant and Donna Strugatz, of Serhant. Strong was represented by Douglas Elliman's Jonathan Stein. It took father-of-two Cohen an astonishing 21 years to acquire and assemble the penthouse, which has graced shelter magazines like Elle Decor. Cohen has since bought another penthouse for $18.21 million, according to property records, at the Emery Roth-designed 299 W. 12th St., where Jennifer Aniston once lived. In a small-city scenario, Strong is in contract to sell his apartment at 299 W. 12th St., which was listed by Stein, of Elliman, and Marcy J. Bloomstein, of Sotheby's International Realty. That two-bedroom, three-bath residence — overlooking Abingdon Square Park — was last asking $6.49 million. Its final sale price is also not yet known. It was gut-renovated by architect Gordon Kahn, with interior designs by Eric Hughes. The colorful co-op is currently set up as a three-bedroom — with a nanny's room, an ensuite windowed office and den, and lots of closet space, including a wall of lacquered storage on both floors. Other details include an open living/dining room with a marble fireplace, a window wall, beamed ceilings, built-in cabinetry and a gold-tiled windowed bar — as well as a corner windowed chef's kitchen. 12 In order to move into Cohen's penthouse, Strong and Mehner are parting ways with this chic residence close by. It's completed with a corner spa-like bath with a teak tub and a walk-in marble steam shower.

Brooklyn townhouse sells for $1M over its $10M asking price

A Brooklyn Heights townhouse that has been a home base for a community of divorcées has sold for $1 million above its $10 million asking price, Gimme Shelter has learned — and it was listed a mere seven days. The seller of 17 Willow Place is Elise Pettus — a 'divorce whisperer' and founder of UNtied. Unlike the Knot, which helps women plan their weddings, UNtied helps women navigate the world of divorce — especially those riding the 'gray divorce' wave — after Pettus wished something like it was around when she was getting divorced. Think of her, The Post once wrote, as part of a new set of divorce concierges for wealthy New Yorkers outsourcing divorce-related stress and creating new communities for themselves. Some of the workshops and dinner parties she has hosted for her well-heeled community have been held within the charming ivy-covered walls and garden of this townhouse, as chronicled in the New York Times. 14 The exterior of the charming residence. Brian Zak/NY Post The ritzy three-story spread is built on the site of an early 19th-century carriage house. Architect Robert Kahn sculpted the modern manse around the facade and sidewalls of the former structure — and the result is stunning. And the home certainly proved to be quite popular as a result. As word spread that the house was about to hit the market, that network of women who had 'an emotional connection' to it helped fuel the buzz. 'Through her network, Elise knew a million brokers. Hundreds of them. They [and other divorcées] always gathered at the house for UNtied events. It meant a lot to everyone because their lives became better through the process of dealing with their divorces,' a friend said. 14 The space fills with light through massive exposures. The buyer, who wishes to remain anonymous, is an individual who saw the level of interest and put in a high bid, a source said. Pettus bought her half of 17 Willow Place for $1.88 million in 2014 from her ex, Daniel Algrant, according to property records. Algrant is a filmmaker and writer who co-wrote and directed 'Naked in New York,' a film produced by Martin Scorsese. In March, the month she listed the house, Pettus wrote an article for 'Oprah Daily' about the moment she knew her marriage was over. At 4,600 square feet, the tony townhouse features four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. It was completed in 2012. The minimalist property uses glass window walls and skylights to let in the light. It also comes with a coveted curb cut for a private garage. 14 A sculptural staircase connects the levels. Virginia Carey for Brown Harris Stevens 14 A cozy mezzanine sitting area. The living area is also primed for entertaining, and features a woodburning fireplace and a two-story casement window wall that opens to an enchanted, walled-in garden. The main bedroom is on the top floor and boasts a gas fireplace, plus a long hallway filled with closets. Design details also include a rare, rear atrium courtyard. Ideal for a family or individual working from home, the residence features three workspaces and a screening room. The listing broker was Joan Goldberg, of Brown Harris Stevens.

Vladimir Stolyarenko bought Valery Kogan's Plaza home

A prominent Russian banker is the buyer of Russian airport billionaire Valery Kogan's palatial spread — a residence ornately dressed in a Versailles style — at New York's famed Plaza, Gimme Shelter can reveal. Vladimir Stolyarenko who once chaired one of Russia's largest commercial banks, Evrofinance Mosnarbank, paid $21 million for two units — 1007 and 1009 — at the famed Central Park-facing edifice. The over-the-top lair — with trimmings including 24-karat gold and Venetian plaster — first asked $50 million following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Listing broker Charlie Attias, of Compass, declined to comment. Stolyarenko's new dwelling spans 5,302 square feet and features Central Park views. Its foyer spills into a great room with high ceilings and paneled walls — while the main bedroom suite has a bathroom clad in floor-to-ceiling onyx. 12 Valery Kogan. 12 Vladimir Stolyarenko. 12 A view of the expansive layout. Rich Caplan At the same time, Stolyaranko and his wife, Alfiya, have listed another unit in the Plaza for $10.49 million. What's more: Their brokers, Jessica and Burt Savitsky, of Brown Harris Stevens, are offering a $7,500 American Express gift card to any broker who brings in a buyer to unit 1503, according to the listing. The Savitskys also declined to comment. That unit, as of press time, has been on and off the market for more than 2,000 days. The couple purchased it for $10.37 million back in 2007. They first listed it for $12.8 million in 2008, according to StreetEasy. Come 2019, Vladimir sold a Plaza unit, No. 1903, to Alfiya for $10 million, according to property records. 12 Touches include 24-karat gold and ornate medallions gracing the ceilings. Rich Caplan The Stolyarenkos are also the owners of a now-dilapidated Palm Beach property that they bought from fashion titan Tommy Hilfiger and Dee Ocleppo for $35 million in 2018 — when Christian Angle, of Christian Angle Real Estate, had the listing. At that time, the mansion, at 100 Casa Bendita, looked good but needed a renovation, sources told Gimme. Last summer, the Palm Beach Daily News published shocking photos showing the mansion in extreme disrepair, with construction workers finally on the property to fix water and termite damage, rusted storm shutters, rotted doors and more. The paper has also chronicled neighbors' frustration with the owners of the run-down oceanfront estate, and the flooding on the charming cul-de-sac, allegedly caused by the home's 'backed-up drainage system.' 'There was a bit of a ruckus about it, because they let it deteriorate, and the town forced them to continue with the renovation,' an inside source told Gimme. 'It's been years and it eventually became an eyesore.' The source added: 'It's been a mystery. The buyer has been unreachable.' Added another inside source: 'It became horrendous.' When reached by phone, the Stolyarenkos' lawyer, Glenn S. Krutoff, declined to comment at press time. 12 Elsewhere, a library comes sheathed in wood paneling. Rich Caplan (Hilfiger and Ocleppo also once owned the Plaza's penthouse. They bought it for $22.5 million in 2008, and then tried to flip it for $50 million a few months later. It was on and off the market for the next 11 years — including in 2013, when it asked a staggering $80 million. It ultimately sold for $31.24 million in 2019.) While many ultra-rich Russians fled New York following Russia's war on Ukraine in 2022, some are itching — and beginning — to return, several sources told Gimme. 'The ones who are returning have lived outside Russia for decades and were often educated in the United States,' a source said. The Plaza itself has its own unique history. Built in 1907, the French Renaissance-inspired chateau-style building was designed by Henry J. Hardenbergh — the legendary hand behind the Dakota. In 1986, it was listed as a National Historic Landmark. Two years later, in 1988, now-President Donald Trump bought it for $390 million and put his then-wife, the late Ivanna Trump, in charge — saying he paid her in dresses and $1 a year. He lost the hotel four years later. It's now owned by the government of Qatar, via Katara Hospitality, which was formerly known as Qatar National Hotels Co.

Techno titan Marco Carola, the globe-trotting DJ and producer, is listing his splashy Florida skypad for $6.33 million, Gimme Shelter has learned. The unit is in Miami's sleek, 66-story Aston Martin tower, which bills itself as the tallest residential-only building south of New York City. Carola's floor-through residence, at 300 Biscayne Blvd. Way, is on the 31st floor and comes with a 300-square-foot terrace. The 'global ambassador of techno' — set to perform in Ibiza this weekend — bought it for an undisclosed price in pre-construction, listing broker Carlo Dipasquale, of Compass, told Gimme Shelter. 7 Marco Carola.
