Sabrina Carpenter Old Facebook Post, Taylor Swift Collab

On Wednesday, Taylor Swift announced the tracklist for her highly anticipated 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, and confirmed that the record's title track will feature Sabrina Carpenter. As I'm sure you know, 26-year-old Sabrina's music career exploded while she was supporting Taylor on her record-breaking Eras tour, but she had been tirelessly working to break into the mainstream since she was a literal child. And she actually first found success as an actor, landing her breakout role at the age of 14 when she was cast in the Disney Channel sitcom, Girl Meets World. But it seems as though music was always Sabrina's main passion, and while she released her first album way back in 2015, she didn't achieve widespread recognition until the success of her 2022 album, Emails I Can't Send. The following year, Taylor booked Sabrina as the support act for some of her stadium shows, and her career absolutely skyrocketed, with Sab undeniably one of the biggest names in pop music at the moment. During this time, Sabrina and Taylor developed a pretty close friendship, and in 2024, Sabrina even joined Taylor on the Eras stage twice for surprise performances — much to the delight of fans. And now, Sabrina has a feature on Taylor's upcoming album, and if her digital footprint is anything to go by, then she'll be seriously pinching herself over it. You see, Sabrina was incredibly active online throughout her childhood, and made no secret of how much she adored Taylor during this time. For example, in March 2010, when she was just 10 years old, Sabrina tweeted: 'Going to see Taylor tonight!!! i'm so excited : D.' She followed up with: 'The Taylor Swift concert was amazing, had so much fun I cant wait to have a world tour someday like hers! lol with 2 sold out shows!!!!!' And following the 'The Life of a Showgirl' collab announcement, another wholesome social media post has resurfaced online, this time from Sabrina's official Facebook page. The post was also made when Sabrina was 10 years old, in August 2009, and reads: 'was trying to enter a Taylor Swift karaoke contest to win tickets and a chance to meet her but they said I had to be 13 : (' A Taylor fan account shared a screenshot of this post alongside Taylor's new tracklist and simply wrote: '16 years later,' in a tweet that has been seen more than two million times in just over 24 else quote-tweeted this and added: 'the feature being the title track too. sabrina really won at life.''Sab is the final boss when it comes to manifesting and she be WINNING!' another replied, and one more joked: 'I'm so happy for my close friend sabrina carpenter.'Somebody else tweeted: 'sabrina should be annoying asf about this taylor collab cause if EYE got to be on a song with someone ive idolized for well over a decade, i'd never shut up about it.' And if you're wondering how Sabrina herself reacted to the collab, she shared the news on her Instagram story and excitedly added: 'i know someone who's freaking out and it's me.' The Life of a Showgirl will be released on October 3rd, and if you want to know what each song on the tracklist could be about, check out our definitive breakdown here! In the meantime, let me know your thoughts on Sabrina's old social media posts in the comments below!

A former Disney TV star, the 26-year-old Quakertown, Pennsylvania singer released her debut album Eyes Wide Open back in 2015 to little fanfare, but her most recent collection, 2024's Short n' Sweet, topped the national charts in 18 countries, spawned three UK number one singles, has already sold more than three million copies in the US alone, and catapulted the singer into stadiums worldwide. But before she got her first big break, landing a role as a character called Maya Hart on Disney Channel show Girl meets World, Carpenter was given a thorough education in old school rock and metal - Queen, The Beatles, Rush, Guns N' Roses, Ozzy Osbourne and more - by her father David. "The Trees is the longest song I've ever heard," she joked to Rolling Stone earlier this year about Rush's classic single from 1978's Hemispheres album. "I heard it my whole childhood."Rather sweetly, visual proof of Carpenter's pre-fame fondness for classic rock exists online, in the form of a rather fine cover of Ozzy Osbourne's signature anthem Crazy Train recorded in collaboration with an uncredited guitarist, bassist and drummer back in 2011, when she was 12-years-old. And while it's highly unlikely that, unlike Ozzy, the 12-year-old Carpenter could fully identify with the idea of "going off the rails", you'd have to have a heart of stone not to appreciate her fully-committed efforts to channel the Prince Of Darkness when tackling the most famous on his 1980 solo debut, Blizzard Of Ozz. All aboooooooard! "[Blizzard of Ozz bassist] Bob Daisley did a lot of the lyrics on that," Ozzy told this writer in 2018. "I probably did 'I'm going off the rails like a crazy train', and 'Crazy, but that's how it goes', but then I'd get stuck and he'd help me. And Randy [Rhoads] was brilliant, he was the first guy in my life who was like, 'Try doing this here, and this here…' When we did Crazy Train I knew we had something good. It was a magical time." Earlier this week, on July 30, Osbourne was buried in England, following an emotional stop in his hometown, Birmingham, where thousands of fans turned out to pay their respects to the legendary Black Sabbath frontman, following his death on July 22. Osbourne co-founded Black Sabbath in 1968 and made eight albums with the Godfathers of Metal before being dismissed from the pioneering band in 1979, due to what was perceived by his bandmates to be excessive substance invaluable encouragement and assistance from his manager/wife Sharon, Osbourne then launched a hugely successful solo career, beginning with Blizzard of Ozz. Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now , a feature-length documentary focussing on the final years, is currently in production. The film is being directed by BAFTA Award winner Tania Alexander of London-based Broadcasting & media production company Echo Velvet. As well as interviews with Osbourne and his family, No Escape From Now will feature interviews and insights from Ozzy's Black Sabbath bandmate Tony Iommi, Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses), Robert Trujillo (Metallica), Billy Idol, Maynard James Keenan (Tool), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), guitarist Zakk Wylde and producer Andrew Watt. Brad Pitt returns as Cliff Booth in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood sequel; See pics

The first photos of Hollywood star Brad Pitt as Cliff Booth in The Adventures of Cliff Booth, the follow-up to Quentin Tarantino's Oscar-winning feature Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, are now out— and yes, the signature long hair is back. Brad Pitt plays Cliff Booth While earlier images from the set had shown Brad sporting a buzz cut, those now appear to have been from rehearsals. Fresh paparazzi shots, from the actual shoot, taken on Tuesday night outside Los Angeles' Beverly Cinema by Just Jared, confirm that Brad is back in full costume — complete with a blonde wig and vintage '70s threads — for the upcoming film which will stream on Netflix. According to report in Just Jared, earlier that day, Brad was also spotted in casual wear prepping for scenes alongside Girl Meets World alum Corey Fogelmanis and Anora actor Karren Karagulian. A closer look at the set reveals some key period details: notably, a poster of Richard Pryor's 1977 comedy Which Way Is Up? displayed at the cinema's entrance — a clue that the sequel unfolds nearly a decade after the events of the original film. The new project has attracted particular attention because it brings together some of Hollywood's biggest names, both on and off camera. Though Quentin originally wrote the script and had once planned to direct it as his tenth (and possibly final) film, he ultimately set the story aside. That's when Brad — who won an Academy Award for his portrayal of the cool-headed stuntman in the original — stepped in to resurrect the project, reportedly helping shepherd it to Netflix. The streaming platform is said to have purchased the unused Quentin screenplay for $20 million. David Fincher, who has worked with Brad before in Seven and Fight Club, will be helming the film, taking over from Quentin. In comments made during a promotional event for his recently released film F1, Brad clarified that the movie is 'an episode in the character's life and not a sequel.' 'This is something Quentin Tarantino wrote. He didn't want to direct it at this time, so our friend David Fincher stepped in,' he had said. Set in the late 1970s, the film nods to several cinematic influences of the era. The setting year — 1977 — is significant not just because of the Pryor poster, but also because it marks the release of Rolling Thunder, one of Quentin's personal favorites. Alongside Pitt, the ensemble cast includes Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, JB Tadena, and Corey Fogelmanis, whose casting was recently confirmed by Deadline.

12 Celebrities Who Took Decades To Make It Big

We love a good rise to fame story, but the idea of an overnight success is kind of a every viral sensation or breakout role is usually a decade of side gigs, indie credits, and even straight-up rejection. Many celebrities have appeared out of nowhere, but in reality? They've been working their way up to the top for YEARS. Here are 12 stars and their journeys to becoming "overnight successes." She may be topping the charts with bangers like "Espresso" and "Please Please Please," but Sabrina Carpenter has been putting in the work for years. Starting out as a Disney star on Girl Meets World, Sabrina simultaneously acted and released music. She released five studio albums before the hugely successful "Short n' Sweet" became platinum in one month, and earned her a GRAMMY. Simu Liu may have become a household name from Shang-Chi and Barbie, but his climb to stardom began much earlier. Before Marvel came along, Simu worked as a stuntman, stock photo model, and actor in indie Canadian shows — including 5 seasons as Jung Kim on Kim's Convenience. He may be The Mandalorian and Joel in The Last of Us, but Pedro Pascal has been around for over two decades. Pedro spent the early 2000s appearing on basically every crime show known to man — NYPD Blue, Law & Order, and CSI to name a few. It wasn't until his role as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones that he was quickly on his way to superstardom. In 2019, Lizzo went viral for "Truth Hurts," but she had already been working in the music scene for a decade. "Truth Hurts" originally released in 2017, and only blew up two years later thanks to it's appearance on Netflix's Someone Great. When the song was confirmed eligible for awards that year, Lizzo celebrated online, acknowledging her hard work. Chappell Roan's meteoric rise in 2024 might've felt sudden, but she's been working towards it since 2015. After signing with Atlantic Records and launching her debut EP, she was dropped after releasing "Pink Pony Club" in 2020. She kept going and teamed up with producer Dan Nigro, eventually scoring a No. 2 album on the Billboard 200 with "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess." After Normal People, Paul Mescal was EVERYWHERE. But, did you know that he did extensive stage work beforehand? He starred in productions like The Great Gatsby and The Plough and the Stars, before landing his breakout TV role on Normal People, which later opened the doors to Gladiator II and Aftersun! Speaking of theatre, Stephanie Hsu also took to the stage before hitting the big screen. She spent years performing on Broadway with Be More Chill and the The SpongeBob Musical before landing the part on Everything Everywhere All at Once. You may know him now as The Bear's Carmy, but Jeremy Allen White had a decade-long gig as Lip Gallagher in Shameless. He put in the work for years before receiving mainstream success, and has now won three consecutive Golden Globes for best actor in a television series. Before there was Lana Del Rey, there was Lizzy Grant. She began releasing music under that name in 2010, which wasn't well received. Still, she kept writing, recording, and developing her infamous aesthetic. It wasn't until she rebranded and released "Born to Die" where she exploded onto the music scene. Kesha's "TiK ToK" defined an era, but she was grinding behind the scenes long before that. She wrote for many artists and even sang uncredited background vocals on Flo Rida's "Right Round." After years of legal battles and setbacks, she's now an independent artist with new music and an upcoming tour! To many, Breaking Bad was Bryan Cranston's big break, but he had already spent decades in the industry beforehand. He starred on soap operas, did voiceover work, and appeared in smaller roles across numerous projects. It wasn't until his role as Hal in Malcolm in the Middle that he began to gain mainstream acclaim. After that, it was only a matter of time until Breaking Bad made him a legend. Bridesmaids might've made Melissa McCarthy a movie star, but she already had a developed comedy resume beforehand. She starred as Sookie on Gilmore Girls and appeared in a ton of early 2000s comedies before breaking through in Hollywood. Which celeb's career glow up surprised you the most? I need to catch up on some of their early work now...🎬🎵 Got another "overnight success" that actually took much longer? Let us know in the comments! Sabrina Carpenter Vows to Make ‘Clean Versions' of Her Songs at 2025 Kids' Choice Awards

After dominating the 2025 Kids' Choice Awards, Sabrina Carpenter made a promise to fans that she'll continue releasing 'clean versions' of her songs so younger listeners can enjoy her work, too. This commitment comes amid growing controversy surrounding the sexual nature of her upcoming album Man's Best Friend, sparking debate across the internet. Sabrina Carpenter, fresh off her sweep at the 2025 Kids' Choice Awards, has made a promise to her younger fans that she'll continue releasing clean versions of her songs. The pop star accepted three major awards virtually, which were Favorite Song ('Taste'), Favorite Female Breakout Artist, and Favorite Album (Short n' Sweet'). She used her speech to reassure parents and kids that they'll always have age-appropriate access to her music. 'I've always wanted one of these ever since I was a little girl,' Carpenter said while holding the orange blimp trophy. 'This is so special to me, and I just can't thank each and every one of you enough for voting. I will continue to make these clean versions of these songs for you,' she added. (via Billboard) The former Girl Meets World star's statement comes at a time when some fans feel her musical content has become increasingly mature and sexually charged. While Carpenter has embraced an edgier image and lyrical style, she doesn't seem to have forgotten her Disney roots or her younger fanbase, who've grown up with her music but still include many children today. Moreover, Sabrina Carpenter's promise arrived amid ongoing controversy surrounding her upcoming album, Man's Best Friend, set to release on August 29, 2025. The provocative cover art features her on her knees in front of a suited man who's pulling her hair. Critics argued it was 'misogynistic' and pandering to the male gaze, while others saw it as a satirical statement about power dynamics and femininity. All in all, fans are excited for more new music, but many voiced concerns over the hypersexual themes and imagery that accompanied this new era. Despite this, Carpenter's loyal audience continues to support her artistic choices, especially with the reassurance that clean edits will be available.
