Toyota Reports Positive Sales Figures For May 2025, Retailed 30,864 Units
Last Updated: The wholesale to dealers in the domestic market, the numbers stood at 29,280 units last month. The export figures stood at 1,584 units. Toyota Kirloskar Motor has been witnessing an overwhelming response from the customers over the past few months. The company on Sunday revealed its sales report, informing about the figures that increased 22 per cent year-on-year. According to the details shared by the brand, it has sold more than 30,860 units last month (May), attracting more customers as compared to the same month last year. The wholesale to dealers in the domestic market, the numbers stood at 29,280 units last month. The export figures stood at 1,584 units. Top Performer It has been reported that the comapny witnessed an impressive growth due to its SUV and MPV categories. The combined volumes of the sales for the first two months of the fiscal year have increased by 34 percent as compared to last year. The hot-selling products Fortuner and Legender remain the top performers. The SUVs have contributed massively to the overall sales figures. These offerings have collectively crossed the 3 lakh unit mark in the country, becoming the top choice in the segment. Badge-engineered models Apart from this, the badge-engineered models such as Glanza, Rumion, and Taisor also did a good job and successfully dominated the segment with decent sales figures. The CNG trim of this powertrain returns a claimed mileage of 26.90 km/kg and features a 60-litre dual-cylinder CNG tank, which helps free up boot space. The Baleno and Glanza, on the other hand, use a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine that delivers 76.4 bhp and 98.5 Nm, and both return a segment-best mileage of 30.61 km/kg, although with a slightly smaller 55-litre single-cylinder CNG tank. Tata Altroz to Maruti Suzuki Baleno: India's premium hatchback segment gearing up for major makeover
Tata Altroz facelift has been teased multiple times. It will get a revamped front and rear profile owing to twin-barrel LED headlamps, updated bumpers, sleek LED strip connecting the taillights. Also, there will be new alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the Altroz facelift is expected to come with a new touchscreen infotainment system, revised instrument cluster, updated seats and upholstery and more advanced features. On the powertrain front, there would same engine and transmission choices as the current Altroz. Maruti Suzuki Baleno is the bestselling premium hatchback in India. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is expected to receive a facelift later this year, possibly in the second half of 2025. It would come with an updated design philosophy and more features at the exterior, while inside the cabin, there would be a more upmarket vibe. Expect the powertrain choices to remain unchanged, though. Toyota Glanza is basically a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Expect the Glanza to receive a facelifted version soon after the Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift is launched later this year.
