Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer and Glitterball Trophy winner Dianne Buswell has revealed her hopes to start a family and have kids with partner Joe Sugg Dianne Buswell has revealed the pressures of Strictly Come Dancing as she opened up on her dreams to become a mother. The professional dancer lifted the coveted Glitterball trophy on the BBC series last time out alongside dance partner Chris McCausland. But she has revealed he future goal is to have kids. The Australian dancer, who first met Joe Sugg during the Strictly contest in 2018, admits time with the duo's nieces and nephews got her thinking about a family of their own. Confessing to feeling broody, Dianne, 35, said she would "100 per cent" love to have children in the future. Speaking to the Sun, Dianne said: "Joe and I love kids, and that's definitely something that we would absolutely love. I haven't really thought about how many I would like. It will definitely happen." She went on the talk of the love they feel for Joe's two nieces, as well as her two nieces and two nephers, who live in Australia. Dianne added: "I am a big fan of my little nieces and nephews. "I love kids, I love working with them and being around them. Sometimes, I'm a big kid at heart myself. I think it helps when you can get down to their level. I'm very lucky.' But speaking of becoming a mother to her own brood, she admitted navigating the role around her dancing career could be a challenge. She recently announced an impressive 30-date UK tour with Strictly pal Vito Coppola. Dianne is also signed up for the next series of the hit dance contest, while she and fellow winner Chris launched their own podcast, Winning Isn't Everything. She admitted her job is "demanding" but gushed she loves it. "It is a tough one to balance out and think about," she said, before saying any decision would take would take a lot of thought. However, she said the couple will "eventually one day" get there. "It will happen when it's supposed to," she said. Earlier this year she hit out at fans for commenting on her not having children yet. On social media, she shared a screenshot of a message she received. It read: "Can't believe you're the only one who still hasn't got kids yet your parents must be proud of your brothers for working and giving them grandchilden." Dianne responded: "Wasn't going to post this. But recently I have been receiving a lot of msgs [sic] like this regarding very personal things! "So I wanted to just a remind the internet to really think before sending a msg or commenting on somebody else's life!" Just one year after making their relationship official in 2018, Dianne and Joe moved in together. They then bought their own home in 2021.

Strictly's Chris McCausland says 'I hated it' as he issues two-word dig at Dianne Buswell
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Comedian Chris McCausland wasn't too pleased with his Strictly Come Dancing partner Dianne Buswell after she played a sneaky prank on him. On their podcast 'Winning isn't Everything', the duo talked about their similar nail-biting habits before delving into the incident that occurred at one of Chris' comedy shows. Dianne decided to play a trick on Chris by putting on a peculiar voice, a move that Chris found less than amusing as it exploited his inability to see. Chris explained his frustration due to his visual impairment, which forces him to rely solely on auditory cues when meeting new individuals. (Image: BBC) He explained: "She turned up doing a voice. I didn't know she was coming, she turned up doing a voice pretending to be somebody else and looking back, her voice is very much Monty Python. "But some people sound like that. If somebody talks to me in a voice that I don't think sounds like a proper voice I can't just go 'Who the hell are you? Stop being a weirdo' can I? "I have to basically assume that I might be talking to a person for whom that is their voice otherwise I'll just be rude to a lot of people." Despite Dianne claiming her actions were just part of being a "prankster", Chris had strong words for her antics: "I'm a nice person and you are a hideous abomination. I hated it." Though their exchange might have appeared sharp to onlookers, Chris and Dianne shared a laugh over the humorous occasion. Since winning the Glitterball, their blossoming friendship has endeared them to countless fans, reports Devon Live. In a moment captured on video, Dianne detailed their heartfelt reunion, posting: "Joe, Me and the glitter ball went on a little road trip to visit the one and only Chris McCausland on tour (yonks) it was the first time we had seen each other since the final. "We got to see him do his thing on stage not only was his posture 10/10 but it was genuinely the funniest thing I had ever seen it was sooooo good to see ya partner #winningisnteverything." (Image: Dianne Buswell Instagram) While Chris has been modest about the significance of his win in altering societal perceptions, his triumph doesn't go unnoticed within the blind community. Last year, Shaun Hayward, a blind dancer himself, praised Chris's influence in an interview with the BBC: "He's had a real, real journey and his story has touched the hearts of people. "For me personally it was great to see because I've been banging this drum for years and I really needed someone of Chris's profile to raise the awareness of dancing for people with sight loss. For a blind person that is true liberty, real freedom."

Chris McCausland doesn't want to be called ‘cute' anymore
Strictly Come Dancing winner Chris McCausland appreciates all the love he gets – but he no longer wants to be referred to as 'cute'. The Liverpudlian comedian, actor and presenter became the first blind person to lift the Glitterball trophy in 2024, along with his partner and professional dancer Dianne Buswell. Last month, the hugely popular duo, revealed that they would be releasing a new podcast named after their motto on the show. Buswell previously revealed she had been told that she wouldn't make it far in the competition once she had been assigned McCausland. The pair had named their team 'Winning is not everything' as McCausland admitted that he felt other couples were better, and named their podcast after the phrase. Having finished the Strictly tour, which McCausland could not attend because of prior commitments, Buswell joked about how 'cute' his fellow cast found him. 'I genuinely did miss you, I think everyone missed you there,' she said on the first episode of the Winning is not Everything podcast. 'We were in the makeup room on the last day actually, and we're getting our makeup done and Lauren [Oakley] turns to me and she goes, 'Awwwww, that's so cute!' 'And she had a picture of you on her phone and we all gathered round and it was you in a little dance pose with a suit on and a massive big circus tie. You were doing cute little poses for The Sunday Times.' McCausland joked: 'This is the problem though. I don't want to be cute.' 'You were so cute!' Buswell insisted. 'I don't want to be cute,' McCausland hit back. Dianne joked: 'Everyone on Strictly used to say, 'Oh Chris, you're so cute', and you'd go 'What about hot? Am I hot?' 'I said, 'He's always hot, he's always having to take a couple of layers off'.' McCausland added: 'I want to be like Pete Wicks.' Dianne joked: 'You want to be Pete Wicks hot, not just red and clammy hot In a dedication to Buswell in his victory speech, McCausland said: 'We've lasted and lasted and Dianne has got so much out of me. She deserves this so much. Every day she's just positivity and belief and she's just one of the easiest people to be funny with than I've ever met.' He then joked: 'Unless she changes her number, she's stuck with me.' McCausland dedicated his victory to anybody who 'got told or thought that they couldn't do something'. 'It shows that with opportunity, support and determination, that anything can happen,' he said.

Chris McCausland shares reason why he thinks Strictly scandal happened
star Chris McCausland has given his view on the scandal that rocked the show months before he won it. The comedian, actor and presenter McCausland, who became the first blind person to lift the Glitterball trophy in 2024, has mused on the 'clash' that can occur between celebrities and their professional partners. McCausland was one of the first celebrities to sign up to the show after the surfacing of a behind-the-scenes scandal, which erupted after actor Amanda Abbington claimed she was subjected to a 'toxic environment' and 'inappropriate, mean, nasty bullying' behaviour during her time on the show. An investigation into her professional partner Giovanni Pernice 's behaviour was launched – and the BBC upheld some, but not all, of Abbington's complaints. Pernice has strongly denied all allegations. However, the investigation found that another Strictly pro dancer, Graziano Di Prima, had acted inappropriately during rehearsals of the 2023 series with his celebrity dance partner Zara McDermott. Di Prima, who joined Strictly in 2018, was dropped from the show, and he said that he 'deeply regret[s] the events that led to my departure from Strictly '. The firestorm led to a debate about how seriously the professionals take the show, with the BBC introducing chaperones for the 2024 series in order to monitor all behaviour. McCausland has held back from discussing the subject, but, days after another star, Annabel Croft, revealed that she saw a co-star 'run off in lots of tears' during her time on the show, he has now shared his view. 'I understand the idea of feeling emotionally pressured because you've all got different objectives,' he told The Times. 'Some people's objective might be to survive another week, whereas from the dancers' point of view, the objective is to succeed because that's their profession; that's what their reputation is based on. 'I can see that there can be a clash.' Pernice did not appear on the 2024 series of the show, which was won by Chris McCausland, but appeared as a professional on the Italian version instead. He steered his celeb partner – and now girlfriend – actor Bianca Guaccero to victory, but said he 'would love to go back' to Strictly despite believing the BBC has 'closed the book' on his return. In July 2024, another Strictly pro dancer, Graziano Di Prima, was dropped from the show following claims made by staff who observed his behaviour towards dance partner Zara McDermott during the 2023 series. Di Prima, who joined Strictly in 2018, said that he 'deeply regret[s] the events that led to my departure from Strictly '. He added that his 'intense passion and determination to win might have affected [his] training regime' and acknowledged that 'it's only right for the sake of the show that [he] step[s] away'. The BBC said they 'would never comment on individual cases', but stressed that they have 'established robust duty of care procedures, and if issues are raised we will always take them seriously and act swiftly as appropriate'.
