Golden Retriever's Tender Patience with Baby Pulling His Fur Is Touching Hearts
Golden Retriever's Tender Patience with Baby Pulling His Fur Is Touching Hearts originally appeared on Parade Pets. Golden Retrievers are known to be gentle and loving. A top family-friendly breed, Goldens are wonderful with children of all ages and patient with varying types of temperaments. These pups are often around babies, yet it's best for parents of newborns often take extra caution when introducing their dogs to their new addition. Since babies are extremely fragile, it's wise to always have supervised interaction until your pooch is completely acclimated to a delicate infant. Monte the Golden Retriever is clearly close with the little baby of the family and kindly takes the infant's exploring habits in stride. The @monte_the_golden video showed the extreme patience on Monte's part as he sat next to the baby on a playmat. The infant kept pulling at the precious pup's hair, which had to hurt at least a little, but Monte barely flinched and just nuzzled his tiny sidekick. "POV: You have a Golden Retriever and they are gentle souls," the onscreen text read. Preparing your dog for a baby's arrival is very important. You can start by teaching them basic commands (sit, stay, lie down, leave it/drop it, etc.). Also, train them not to jump up on you and give them a calm space of their own. Introduce your canine to baby sights, sounds, and smells to get them used to what they'll be living with when your infant comes home. Let them gently sniff baby products like pacifiers, high chairs, toys, blankets, and others. If your dog tries to chew on these items, redirect their attention to their own toys and your fur baby to smell baby lotion, shampoo, diaper cream, and other scents to familiarize them with your infant. Playing a video of a baby crying or laughing is also a good way to expose your dogs to the different sounds the little one will make. Some parents practice socializing their dog with a lifelike baby doll. They go through the actions of feeding, rocking, and carrying so they'll see how their pup will react and correct accordingly. Monte seems thrilled about his new family member and is thankfully willing to put up with a few hair pulls for the love he gets in return. 🐶🐾 Golden Retriever's Tender Patience with Baby Pulling His Fur Is Touching Hearts first appeared on Parade Pets on Jun 6, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Jun 6, 2025, where it first appeared.

Golden Retrievers Stage 'Organized Protest' in Driveway and Everyone's Here for It
Golden Retrievers Stage 'Organized Protest' in Driveway and Everyone's Here for It originally appeared on Parade Pets. When we think of protests, we picture political activists, angry workers, or students who are hoping to elicit change through their demonstrations. Apparently, pets can also walk out and put together their own "organized protest." In a hilarious video uploaded to TikTok by Captain Chaos, two have parked themselves in the driveway and aren't budging. Is this duo on strike? What are they protesting? Take a look to see who they've recruited to their gang. "Meeting of the brain trust," the Goldens' family captions this funny video. Hey, it's summer, can you blame these gorgeous Goldens for wanting to work on their tans and take their meetings outdoors? But it sounds like their mama suspects it's more than that. She jokingly says she'll keep viewers updated if there are meeting minutes or "any kind of action taken." 🐶🐾🐾 One viewer writes, "Would love to know what they're gossiping about." We agree. The Goldens' mom has a guess, "Neighbors cats most likely." Too funny! It would be great if we could eavesdrop on this pair as they certainly look like they have their share of secrets! We love that these two have expanded their crew by inviting stuffed animals to join them. While we don't know how much these plush toys bring to the bargaining table, there's strength in numbers! "It looks like the Union of the Goldens has reached agreement with the Stuffie Collective. As their owner, you might want to be on the lookout for a list of demands," someone never know what they're plotting!Another viewer suspects this meeting is completely innocent. "I think they're waiting for grandma to pick them up for a sleepover." That would explain having their favorite stuffies close at hand. Wherever these Goldens are going, we'd love to be kept in the loop! Golden Retriever Teaches Baby How to Crawl in Moment of Pure Sweetness
Golden Retriever Teaches Baby How to Crawl in Moment of Pure Sweetness originally appeared on Parade Pets. We can learn so much from our pets. They teach us kindness and compassion and show us unconditional love. While we know they have many talents, you wouldn't necessarily expect them to help babies reach their milestones, would you? Well, Ashe, a sweet , is showing a baby named Griffin how to crawl and it's the cutest thing you'll see all day! Take a look at this precious pair. Ashe is so kind, moving slowly, and then giving an encouraging lick that seems to say, "You got it, kid, let's keep going!" And how heartwarming is it when that adorable tot looks at Ashe, like, "Show me again! I'm ready!" Viewers can't get enough of these two! "He's the first teacher in the baby's life," one person writes. Another gushes, "Oh my goodness! Ashes, you are the goodest Golden Retriever in the world. This could literally be in a Disney movie!"It's true, this has all the makings of a great buddy movie and we're sure Griffin and Ashe (which does have a great ring to it as a movie title!) will be friends for many years to come. Of course, most dog parents think their breed is superior to all others, but Golden Retriever fans are particularly loyal. 🐶🐾🐾 One writes, "That is absolutely precious footage! The Golden Retriever is the smartest, kindest, gentlest, and most helpful dog of all breeds!" Another adds, "There is no doubt a Golden Retriever is the best dog for a family."Goldens are known for being playful, socialable, and great with both children and other dogs, making them a very popular pick with families and anyone looking for a trusty companion. Not to say other breeds aren't equally as awesome. We wonder what other tricks Ashe plans to teach Griffin! Whatever comes next, we're sure this toddler is in good hands, er, paws. Golden Retriever Grabs 'Sweetest Thing Ever' Instead of Toy To Greet Owner
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A video of a dog bringing the closest object he could find to greet his owners melted the internet's heart. Kobi, a golden retriever, loves when his owners come home, as any dog does, and with his excitement boiling over at the sight of them, he doesn't know how to express his emotions. He grabs the closest thing to him, and what the owner calls the "sweetest thing ever," to redirect his enthusiasm: his doggy name collar. The owner, who is known on TikTok as @leahthepa, shared in a March 31 video how Kobi greets her when she comes home. Her return happened too quickly for Kobi. He didn't have time to grab a soft toy to hold in his mouth, which dogs commonly do. A PetMD article reported that dogs bring toys or gifts to their owners upon their arrival for several reasons. Perhaps they want to play or show off their toy, but it could also be that they need a distraction from their excitement, as they sometimes cannot control themselves and might bark or nip. This self-soothing behavior helps reduce feelings of stress, tension or anxiety, Newsweek previously reported. However, dogs can be used in positive situations, as seen in the video of Kobi. Kobi couldn't contain his feelings when he spotted his owner. He immediately needed to do something to distract his emotions. He grabbed the name tag on his collar and kept it in his mouth as he cozied up next to his owner. He stayed there, soaking up all the pets he could get. Newsweek reached out to @leahthepa via email for comment. The TikTok video reached more than 106,800 views and 27,100 likes as of Wednesday, with people obsessing over Kobi's adorable response to seeing his owner. "We don't deserve Goldens. They are truly a beautiful breed," wrote one viewer, while another said: "Goldens are literal angels like mine will find ANYTHING to greet with, including throw pillows." A third person commented: "He had to make sure you got some type of gift." Others suggested the owners keep a basket of doors by the door for easy access. The owner informed viewers in the comment section that they moved the toy bin, but Kobi still greets them with the dog collar in his mouth. He'll even greet them that way if they've been gone for as little as 20 minutes. Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures of your pet you want to share? Send them to life@ with some details about your best friend, and they could appear in our Pet of the Week lineup.

Golden Retriever's Dead Stare Upon Meeting New Puppy Sibling Wins the Internet
There's always an adjustment when a new family member joins the crew. For some, the transition period is easy, and everything falls into place. But for others, it's not as quick, and there's more hesitation. For one beautiful , his reaction to meeting his new puppy sibling was so comical that it resulted in the funniest dead stare, and you need to see it to appreciate it. On April 29, 2025, TikTok user The Golden Bruvs (@ shared the video of the first time their dog Link met their new puppy, Otto. Link was sitting in the car, and tiny Otto was being held outside the vehicle so the two pups could get a good look at each other. Otto is adorably cute, like all little Golden Retriever puppies are. But it's Link's face, with his eyes dead locked on Otto, that is making me giggle. He's so concerned, but more for himself, and that checks out."We didn't expect this reaction," the caption on the video reads, probably noticing that Link looks like he could start to cry. In the comments, others noticed the funny face Link was giving to Otto. One person wrote, "It would have been hilarious if he rolled up the window." Another shared, "Lady, you got the wrong car, haha, not me, not now." Someone else added, "I've never witnessed less interested Goldens." Other comments included, "He's not impressed," "We love a strong side eye," "He's concerned; those are my treats, Mom," and "He's looking at her like she told him they didn't need any babies!" In several other videos, we can see that these two, while their initial meeting might have been met with reservations, they really do love each other. One video shows the two playing wrestling on the floor, and they seem to be able to play for an endless amount of time. So, any worries their parents had that they might not get along are now a distant concern. We're excited to keep seeing videos of these two and their adorable, playful bond with each other. 🐶SIGN UP to get 'pawsitivity' delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾
