Tell Us About The Best "Forgotten" Movies From The '90s
I love '90s movies (especially Clueless). While plenty of films from that era are still widely beloved, there are also a whole lot of hidden gems that have been widely forgotten over time. For example, The Thirteenth Year was one of my favorite Disney Channel movies growing up. It's about a teenage swimmer who discovers he's the son of a mermaid. And Housesitter starring Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn is such an underrated rom-com! Or what about Rounders, the Matt Damon-led thriller about poker? So, what's an obscure or "forgotten" movie you love from the '90s? What's it about? Tell us all about it in the comments (or in the anonymous comments box below), and you may be featured in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post!

Dakota Johnson Takes It Easy in Low-Rider Jeans on a Girls Night With Kate Hudson
TheStewartofNY After splitting from longtime fiancé Chris Martin, a night out with a girlfriend is just what Dakota Johnson needed, and where better to grab a Margherita pizza (we assume) than Rome? The Materialists star stepped out for a bite with none other than fellow nepo baby Kate Hudson on Saturday, June 29, looking fresh-faced and relaxed in low-slung, baggy blue jeans and an embellished top. Hudson, too, kept it simple in a summery button-down dress accessorized with a neck scarf (very Roman Holiday) and bangles. Both ladies wore black slip-on heeled sandals to navigate the cobblestones. (See the photo here.) Celebrity News Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin: A Complete Relationship Timeline Johnson and Martin have reportedly split after eight years, but his recent shows of support are dividing fans. The two actors were joined at Pierluigi restaurant by entrepreneur Douglas Chabbott and Johnson's agent, Maha Dakhil, according to The Daily Mail, and got a surprise visit from singer Ricky Martin, who also happened to be at the restaurant. From 'Livin' la Vida Loca' to living la dolce vita. Sorry, had to. Martin's pants are even wider than Johnson's. Dakota Johnson and Kate Hudson have been friends for…ever? Both are the daughters of actor mothers, and all four women—Hudson; Johnson; Johnson's mom, Melanie Griffith; and Hudson's mom, Goldie Hawn—hung out in Aspen in 2015. When Hudson played a concert there at the end of last year, Johnson was in attendance. Very much the bestie energy you need around you during a major life transition. Johnson hasn't said anything since reports emerged that she and Martin split, for real and for good this time, despite her being one of the best interviewees in the game, providing meme-worthy clips most every time she hits the talk-show circuit. Guess we'll have to wait for the next time she does an in-depth profile to promote a Serious Project. In the meantime, her cool-girl dinners will continue to provide our fashion inspiration. Q3 of 2025: decentering men, recentering quality denim. Winner of the Week Dakota Johnson Is the Best Talk-Show Guest, Period Thank God she's back on a press tour. Originally Appeared on Glamour

Kate Hudson confesses she nearly sought emancipation from famous mum Goldie Hawn
Kate Hudson considered being emancipated from her parents, Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson, to better her Hollywood career. At the Newport Beach TV Fest, Hudson revealed she was offered a small part in an unnamed project and almost 'divorced' her parents before landing her breakout role in Party of Five. 'I had gotten this part that they wanted me to basically divorce my parents so that I could work as an adult. My mum was like, 'No, never happening,' but then I got the Party of Five and it was so great,' Hudson said during The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast panel. The teen drama series aired in 1994 and followed the Salinger siblings after their parents died in a car crash, leaving the oldest brother Charlie, played by Matthew Fox, to be their caretaker. Hudson was a guest star during the second season as the character Cory. 'I was 16 and obsessed with P arty of Five, so walking onto that set was like, I couldn't believe that I was going to have a guest role on it, a day player role,' she said. 'I was like, oh. It was so fun.' Hudson did not become emancipated from her parents, but has since become estranged from her father. Hawn and Bill divorced in 1982, and she began dating Kurt Russell shortly after that. Russell was a vital part of Kate's upbringing. During the event, Hudson revealed that she turned down an opportunity to star in one of Russell's films because she didn't want to be 'defined' by her parents. Hawn addressed her daughter's struggles at the beginning of her career. Last year, the actress was a guest on Kelly Ripa's Let's Talk Off Camera podcast and recalled Hudson complaining about her parents being the focus of all her interviews. 'I told her, 'The truth of the matter is we have to embrace each other. I mean, yes, you're gonna talk about me, and one day I'm going to talk about you. And I'm gonna be Katie's mother, and that could be pretty cool,'' she told Ripa. Hawn and Hudson have maintained a close relationship over the years. In February, Hudson told the Los Angeles Times, 'I live seven blocks from my mum now, and she comes over every day.'
