Oregon Ducks announce tie-dye Grateful Dead-themed game vs. Wisconsin

10.25.25Wear Tie-Dye. @OregonFootball | #GoDucks Every college football season, the Oregon Ducks make waves each and every week by announcing their new uniform combinations and having their fans dress up accordingly. Earlier this offseason, the Ducks announced their weekly color schedule, telling fans when to wear green, yellow, or black. On Wednesday, they updated that schedule, though. While Duck fans were originally told that the colors for Oregon's game on October 25th against the Wisconsin Badgers were to be determined, they finally learned what colors to wear this week. In reality, fans are now encouraged to wear all of the colors. The Ducks announced that Oregon will be holding a special Grateful Dead-themed game against Wisconsin, where fans are encouraged to wear tie-dye. The Dead have played numerous shows at Autzen Stadium before, so the tradition is meaningful for fans of an older generation. It is unclear whether or not Dead and Company will be in attendance for the game, or if a show is to follow, but original members Bob Weir and Mickey Hart, along with John Mayer, will be holding a special residency in San Francisco this August to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Dead. While the fans are to wear tie-dye for the game, it is not clear yet what the team will be wearing, and if the jerseys will be themed for the occasion.
