As GCDA is planning to implement the project through land pooling, it is expected that hurdles for land acquisition will be removed. In land pooling, landowners can hand over their land parcels collectively for public projects or infrastructure development. After rearrangement of plots and development of infrastructure, remaining land will be handed over to original owners. Although the owner will get back only 60% of the original land, value of the land will be three to four times more than the original value.
