Grim update in American Idol exec LA mansion murder

Grim new details have surfaced following the brutal murders of an American Idol executive and her husband inside their LA mansion. Police reportedly saw blood at the front entrance of Robin Kaye and Thomas Deluca's $7.5 million property in Encino after they arrived to conduct a welfare check on Monday. After breaking a window to enter the six-bedroom home, officers discovered the couple with gunshot wounds to their heads. Their bodies are believed to have been in the property for several days before police found them in separate rooms. Less than 24 hours later after the shocking discovery, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to TMZ that Raymond Boodarian, a 22-year-old man from Encino, was arrested in connection with the alleged murders. It has since been revealed that there have been numerous break-ins and burglaries in the upscale Los Angeles neighbourhood, which catapulted talks among residents about purchasing firearms and paying private security guards to watch over their homes. Ms Kaye and Mr Deluca, both 70, had been in contact with a security expert who revealed to the Daily Mail that the couple were planning to install an advanced security system that even included a panic room. Guy Cohen paid a visit to the property on May 20 and developed a plan to make the home safer after a trespasser attempted to break in only the day before. 'An intruder came in through the sliding glass door in the kitchen. They were home and the dog started barking and she yelled and the burglar ran away,' Mr Cohen said. The security expert said even though the couple didn't have any valuables lying around the house, they wanted 'more personal protection, personal safety.' He recommended installing early detection equipment with an 'infrared laser beam system' to detect trespassers on the property. He also suggested a 24-hour surveillance system along with a panic room that would be installed in Ms Kaye's bedroom wardrobe with walls strong enough to withstand six men pounding on it for an hour. 'They said they were considering the proposal. They were going out of town and had some life things happening and said they would get back to me. 'Unfortunately, it was just too late. This is something that could have been avoided.' Ms Kaye and Mr Deluca reportedly had another handyman install sharp metal spikes along the top of their fences and driveway gate, but according to Mr Cohen, there were still some sections that hadn't been upgraded, which could have allowed the alleged murderer to break into the property. Ms Kaye was the music supervisor on American Idol for at least 15 seasons and won several Guild of Music Supervisors Awards for her work on the popular show. In a heartbreaking statement, American Idol paid tribute to the award-winning executive, describing her as a 'cornerstone' of the program. 'We're devastated to hear of Robin and her dear husband, Tom's passing,' the statement read. 'Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. 'Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time.'

Who Is Raymond Boodarian? Suspect Arrested in Murder of American Idol Executive Robin Kaye and Her Husband in LA Home During Attempted Burglary

A suspect has been arrested after an American Idol executive and her husband were found murdered inside their $5 million home in Los Angeles. Police arrested Raymond Boodarian, 22, on Tuesday after they found Robin Kaye, 70, an award-winning music supervisor, and her husband, Thomas Deluca, shot dead on Monday afternoon. Boodarian had already been inside the couple's home for nearly 30 minutes on July 10 when they unexpectedly arrived home. Surveillance footage allegedly shows Boodarian entering the lavish property during an attempted burglary. He didn't break in but instead accessed the house through an unlocked entry point before shooting dead both Kaye and her husband when they confronted him. Cold-Blooded Murder Robin Kaye with husband Thomas Deluca Instagram Boodarian allegedly shot both victims during a confrontation after they caught him in the middle of the burglary. Police believe the incident was isolated and that Boodarian acted independently. On the day the couple died, the LAPD received two reports of a potential break-in. However, when officers arrived, they were unable to enter the property due to the home's heavy security, according to ABC7. With no visible signs of a break-in and no warnings from a police helicopter surveying the area, officers saw no immediate threat and eventually left the scene. Officers returned to the six-bedroom mansion four days later, around 2:30 pm after receiving a call requesting a welfare check. They broke a rear window to gain entry into the house. After entering, they found both Kaye and Deluca shot in the head. Investigators witnessed blood near the front door before forcing their way in through the window, according to TMZ. Neighbors reported seeing someone—possibly armed—jumping a fence along the upscale, tree-lined street in the exclusive California neighborhood. Neighbor Naomi Sadoun, 69, said she often saw the couple walking together in the area, sometimes accompanied by their dog, and remembered them as "lovely people." She added that concerned relatives arrived at the Encino property on White Oak Avenue the previous evening but were kept outside by police. Family and Friends Devastated Robin Kaye X After news of the heartbreaking deaths broke, American Idol released a statement describing Kaye as " a cornerstone of the Idol family." "We are devastated to hear of Robin and her dear husband, Tom's, passing," a spokesperson told Daily Mail. "Robin has been a cornerstone of the Idol family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. "Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time." Kaye worked as the music supervisor for "American Idol" for the past 15 seasons, contributing to around 300 episodes, according to her IMDb profile. In her illustrious career, she won multiple Guild of Music Supervisors Awards for her exceptional work on the show. Her impressive résumé also includes work on popular shows such as "Lip Sync Battle", "Hollywood Game Night", and "Worn Stories." Kaye also worked for the NAACP Image Awards, "The Singing Bee", "Miss USA", "Miss Universe", "American Inventor", "The Dance Scene", "Dance Your A* Off*", "Your Chance to Dance", "Adventures of Power", and "Crashed." Her husband was a musician whose most recent album, Street Rock, was released in 2022. According to his website, Deluca's first album, the critically acclaimed cult classic "Down To The Wire", was released by Epic Records in 1986. Public records show that the happy couple bought their Encino home in January 2023.

Robin Kaye, a longtime music supervisor for American Idol, was tragically found dead alongside her husband, Thomas Deluca, in their Encino, Los Angeles home in what authorities are investigating as a double homicide. A boss on 'American Idol' and her husband were executed in a suspected double murder inside their $4.5 million ($6.9 million AUD) Los Angeles home, cops said. Robin Kaye, an award-winning music supervisor for the hit competition show, was found slaughtered along with her musician husband, Thomas Deluca, after an apparent break-in at their house in the upscale Encino neighborhood, a Los Angeles Police Department source told TMZ. The investigation is ongoing,' the department told The Post. Kaye was found dead in the pantry, and Deluca in the bathroom, NBC Los Angeles reported. Officers also found blood in the entryway and a broken window, which the killer possibly used to get inside. The home was apparently not ransacked, pointing away from the possibility of a burglary, authorities told TMZ. Aerial footage of the house from ABC 7 showed what looked like a smashed sliding glass door. The cops were called to the house on Thursday after neighbors spotted a suspicious person hopping the fence, but officers found no evidence of foul play. 'We didn't see or hear anything. My renter called 911 on Thursday because she saw somebody hopping the fence,' neighbor Amee Faggen told ABC 7.
