As per official data, 91,556 students secured admission in the first two rounds, which accounts for about 19% of the total seats. The admission committee expects this number to rise to 60–70% by the end of the first phase. Additionally, around 70,000 students who appeared for the Class 12 supplementary exams will be included in upcoming admission rounds once their results are declared. This year, several universities shifted from centralised to decentralised admission systems, which has allowed high-merit students to receive multiple offers across colleges and programmes, resulting in initial rounds favouring top-ranked candidates. As the rounds progress, lower-merit students will start receiving offers.
