This Anker 2-Port HDMI Switch Is Now Just $10, a 50% Discount

All the biggest and best TVs that money can buy these days come with more HDMI ports than most people need, but those with older models aren't so lucky. We know the struggle that comes with not having enough ports to plug things into, and that's where a handy little HDMI switch can save the day. Right now, Amazon is selling an Anker 2-port switch for just $10, a full 50% off the original price. Just $10 to avoid switching HDMI cables all the time seems like a great deal to us. This little switch takes two HDMI devices and allows you to plug them into a single port on your TV. Switching between those devices is as simple as pressing a button on the switch itself, so it couldn't be easier. Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money. The switch supports all of the main features we would expect it to, especially at this price point -- it's easy to spend considerably more on a switch of this type. Here, Anker has added support for 4K content at a 60Hz refresh rate. Support for HDR, 3D content, and more means this switch will handle everything the majority of people need it to. Why this deal matters We don't know how long this deal will last, but we do know that $10 is a small price to pay to avoid having to dangle yourself down the back of your TV each time you want to switch HDMI devices. It doesn't support high refresh rate gaming, but at this price, you really can't go wrong.

MultiDyne to bring VersaBrix signal transport line to IBC 2025

The compact fiber-optic system handles everything from PTZ extension to bulk 12G and 10GbE over single fiber. MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems is set to return to IBC this September with major enhancements to its VersaBrix (VB) Series, a rugged and modular fiber-optic transport platform widely adopted by broadcasters and live production professionals. The company will present the updated system at Stand 11.C12 during the trade show, taking place from September 12 to 15 at the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam. VersaBrix is engineered for flexibility across a variety of environments, from remote field applications and mobile flypacks to permanent broadcast studio installations. It offers uncompressed, near-zero latency signal transport over a single strand of fiber, capable of carrying 12G/3G/HD-SDI, HDMI 2.0, analog and digital audio, Ethernet (1/10GbE), intercom, tally, genlock and timecode. The platform supports a wide range of use cases, including extending PTZ and POV cameras or transporting high-volume signals across large venues or production trucks. One of the most notable updates for IBC is the introduction of a sleek all-white chassis option, available across all four VersaBrix form factors, two, four, six and ten-slot models. These new enclosures, designed with on-camera aesthetics in mind, are suitable for visible studio environments and maintain the same robust performance as the traditional models. Jesse Foster, Director of Strategic Accounts & Products at MultiDyne, said: 'VersaBrix is truly a Swiss Army knife for signal transport. You can move up to 18x 12G-SDI or 9x 10GbE signals over a single fiber without touching compression. And with new features like PoE++, HDMI 2.0, and our modular customization tool, we're making it easier than ever to spec the exact system you need whether you're in a truck, on a campus, or elsewhere that requires live broadcast.' VersaBrix's compact 1RU design and shallow 7.25-inch depth make it particularly well-suited for space-constrained environments such as mobile production units and small control rooms. It's also an efficient solution for temporary installations where traditional copper cabling is impractical, delivering high performance with minimal setup time. The system integrates smoothly with CCUs, routers and switchers, and supports both standard single-mode fiber and SMPTE hybrid cable. Low-voltage and rack-mountable, VersaBrix also supports remote power-over-fiber capabilities, making it a suitable tool for professionals involved in live sports, concerts, studio productions, and other demanding workflows. As MultiDyne prepares to debut these latest improvements at IBC 2025, the company continues to position VersaBrix as a go-to solution for reliable, flexible, and high-quality signal transport in modern broadcast and live production environments.

Big screen with sharp output and solid sound quality. It helps reduce clutter by expanding your view. IPS panels tend to offer better colour accuracy and wider viewing angles, which makes them the go-to choice for content creators, designers, and even everyday users who care about picture clarity. TN panels are faster but often look washed out, while VA panels offer deeper blacks but can blur during fast motion. So, when clarity matters more than speed, IPS becomes the smarter choice. You don't need high refresh rates for spreadsheets or documents, but once you try a 100Hz+ display, even everyday scrolling feels smoother. If your work involves visuals, light editing, or multitasking with lots of movement on screen, a higher refresh rate reduces eye strain and adds a subtle comfort you may not notice until you go back to 60Hz. If you use a laptop and want a single cable setup, USB C with power delivery is a game changer. It charges your device and transmits video and audio through one cable. Built-in speakers won't replace good external ones but are handy for casual calls or quick video playback. Together, these features reduce desk clutter and simplify your setup, key reasons why many top rated monitors include them. LG's StanbyMe 2 is an unquestionably cool TV at a questionably high price

LG's StanbyMe 2 has all the ingredients of a good follow-up gadget: the display is 1440p instead of 1080p, and instead of being trapped on its rollable stand, the screen is detachable for you to use wherever and however you want. It can hang on the wall if you buy a compatible strap, or you can rest it on its included folio cover, much like you would a tablet. It also has more ports beyond the one HDMI port and one USB-A port in the original model. You'll get USB-C for connecting laptops, too. Its built-in battery can power the screen for up to four hours, and you can recharge it with a power bank so long as it can provide at least 65W charging speeds. We knew earlier this month that the StanbyMe 2 would be coming soon, but LG waited until it was available to share that it costs $1,299.99 — $300 more than its predecessor did at launch. Just as with the original StanbyMe, I have to take a moment to resist the urge to call this a terrible value, since OLED TVs and brilliant monitors are readily available well under $1,000. But for those who were, at least, mildly enthused about a major manufacturer putting a screen on wheels, perhaps the added versatility in the StanbyMe 2 makes it worth actually considering for your home. As if one rolling screen wasn't enough for 2025, LG's Smart Monitor Switch is another option, although it only works while connected to a power outlet. Similarly, it costs $1,299.99, but it has a bigger 31.5-inch 4K IPS touchscreen display, as well as a stand that offers more points of articulation. It's more flush with ports, offering three USB-C ports with 65W Power Delivery, and two HDMI 2.0 ports. A free daily digest of the news that matters most. Are you looking for a portable monitor? This 15.6-inch ASUS ZenScreen is on sale!

I can tell you first-hand that having a second monitor takes your productivity to the next level. The thing is, full monitors are meant to be stationary. What about us digital nomads? Portable monitors are becoming more common, but they can still be a bit expensive. You need to find ways to save, and today we came across a nice deal on the ASUS ZenScreen 15.6-Inch Portable Monitor (MB16ACE). Buy the ASUS ZenScreen 15.6-Inch Portable Monitor MB16ACE for $169.99 ($29.01 off) This offer is available from Amazon. We're not sure how long the offer will stick around. ASUS isn't quite at the level of the big brands, but it is highly respected and known for its quality products in the PC business. It is especially popular in the portable monitor market, and the ASUS ZenScreen 15.6-Inch Portable Monitor (MB16ACE) is an excellent option for those who want both quality and value, especially at today's discounted price of $169.99. Those looking for added peace of mind will love this one, as it also comes backed by a three-year ASUS warranty. This is almost unheard of in the tech industry. Additionally, it is tested to withstand bumps, as well as drops from a desk or table. This model also went through 5-500Hz vibration tests. It's a rugged product, so it's surprising to see that its design is very sleek and elegant. It will look great in any office, meeting, or wherever you take it. It measures only 8mm in thickness and weighs a mere 710g. You can easily carry it in any backpack or even a laptop bag. In terms of the display, you'll enjoy a pretty large 15.6-inch IPS screen with a Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080). It features a 60Hz refresh rate, which isn't amazing, but it is pretty good. If you want a smoother refresh rate, the MB16AHG model has a 144Hz refresh rate, and it is only $9.01 more. You can connect the ASUS ZenScreen 15.6-Inch Portable Monitor (MB16ACE) to your laptop via USB-C for both video and power. While convenient, this does raise a bit of a concern for some. You will need a laptop that supports both video and power output through USB-C. Most modern laptops can handle it, but you should double-check to make sure. I also wish it supported HDMI, but some sacrifices must be made to keep this display so portable. A very convenient foldable stand is included. It also works as a cover when not in use, keeping the screen protected at all times. It's actually a pretty cool stand that folds origami-style. It works in both portrait and landscape orientation. The ASUS ZenScreen 15.6-Inch Portable Monitor (MB16ACE) will be a great addition to your mobile computing setup. Go catch this deal before the sale ends! Follow
