Rasha Thadani: There shouldn't be just one day dedicated to environment
She's all of 20, yet realises the power her voice holds as she steps into the public figure zone. Rasha Thadani, posing for HT City on the occasion of World Environment Day, appeals for more awareness throughout the year and not just this one day. 'I was born in a house which had more animals than humans. As a child, I was surrounded by them, I saw my mom (actor Raveena Tandon) have so much passion for the environment. In school, it would be a very small subject, we would be told to for example, go home and a plant a tree. But even that stirred something within me,' she says. A post shared by Rasha Thadani (@rashathadani) Rasha, as she grew up, adopted certain habits, 'Even when I am out with friends, and someone throws a tissue on the road, I stop the car and ask them to pick it up before we continue. They are scared to do anything around me! I also carpool as much as possible, either my friends travel with me in my car, or I, in theirs. I try to put my plans in other people's minds, for instance, when I wanted to go to the salon the other day!' Even at home, her family follows environment-friendly methods. Rasha elaborates, 'In every room of our house, there is a normal dustbin, and a separate dustbin to throw things which can be recycled, such as paper or cardboard boxes. Plastic bottles in our house are a complete no-no. There are small things that you can do for the environment, we have only one Earth.'

Hrithik's sister Sunaina Roshan shares her nighttime routine for better sleep: 'Magnesium products are a lifesaver'
Sunaina Roshan, Hrithik Roshan's sister, has been open about her health journey on Instagram and in interviews. She said she practices meditation and drinks chamomile tea to calm her mind and body before bed. Sunaina also shared how she has now incorporated magnesium into her sleep routine. Also read | Does magnesium help you sleep better? Doctor takes supplements and reveals truth Sunaina Roshan said, 'Everybody does know what my nighttime routine looks like – chamomile tea, journaling and meditation. But of late, I have discovered two more things that are really, really good for me. They work really well for me. Let me show them to you.' She added, 'One is a magnesium lotion, which I apply all over my hands and legs. This helps the muscles recover faster... the other one is a magnesium sleep spray. I put it on my pillow. It makes me sleep better. These two products have basically changed my quality of sleep, and I swear by these. Sleep is very crucial.' In her caption, Sunaina wrote: 'It's just amazing how much better I feel when I prioritise rest. And my magnesium products have been such a lifesaver. They help me settle down and make sleep easier and deeper.' A post shared by Sunaina Roshan (@roshansunaina) In a January 24, 2025 interview with HT City, Dr Sandeep Nayar, principal director and HOD of chest and respiratory diseases at BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital spoke about magnesium, 'an important mineral that helps control melatonin, a hormone that keeps your sleep schedule on track'. He said, 'Magnesium is an unsung hero. It's an important microelement required by the body, yet it's often overlooked. A magnesium deficiency can lead to several issues, including insomnia or difficulty sleeping. Without adequate magnesium, your brain can't properly regulate sleep, which may lead to tossing and turning all night.' 'Magnesium sprays and oils are marketed as effective sleep aids because they bypass the digestive system. When applied to the skin, magnesium is absorbed directly into the bloodstream, potentially providing faster relaxation and fewer digestive side effects... the hype is largely based on anecdotal evidence. We need more clinical research to determine if topical magnesium is truly superior to oral supplements,' Dr RR Dutta, HOD of internal medicine at Paras Health was quoted as saying. Ajay Devgn supports Deepika Padukone's 8-hour shifts demand that irked Vanga: ‘Honest filmmakers will not have problems'
Actor Deepika Padukone's reported exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit has sparked intense speculation and debate in social media in the last few days. Several anonymous sources said it was the actor's 'unprofessional' demands that led to her exit, one of them being that she would not work more than eight hours a day. Now, actor Ajay Devgn has come out in support of Deepika in the matter when he was asked to comment on this at the trailer launch of Maa. (Also read: Deepika Padukone-Sandeep Reddy Vanga row explained: Mudslinging & angry tweets over Triptii Dimri replacing DP in Spirit) Ajay was present at the trailer launch of Maa, the new horror thriller starring Kajol in the lead. He is one of the co-producers of the film. When a reporter asked Ajay to comment on the demands of 8-hour shift that have been doing the rounds of social media ever since Deepika's reported exit from Spirit, Ajay said, 'It's not that it's not going down well with people. Most of the honest filmmakers will not have problems with it. And apart from this, being a mother and working for eight hours, most people have started working eight-nine hours shifts.' He went on to add, "It's person to person, and I feel most of the industry understands this." A post shared by HT City (@htcity) Deepika had been signed for Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit opposite Prabhas earlier this year. This marked the actor's second Telugu pan-India project after Kalki 2898 AD, that also starred Prabhas. However, last week it was reported that she exited the film when her demands were not met. The actor herself has not commented on the matter. Later it was officially announced that Triptii Dimri has been cast opposite Prabhas in the film. Triptii has previously worked with Sandeep Reddy Vanga in Animal. Next, it was Sandeep Reddy Vanga who took to X to state that the script of the film has been leaked to the media. Without taking names, he called out dirty PR games and wrote, "When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, you've 'DISCLOSED' the person that you are.... Putting down a Younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for?" Spirit is produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. It will feature Prabhas as a fierce and intense police officer. The film is currently in pre-production and is set to go on floors in 2025.

‘David Dhawan doesn't ‘have the guts' to talk to me about ‘Chunari Chunari' remake,' says Abhijeet Bhattacharya: ‘Copies are sold more than the original'
Over the past weekend, as clips from the shoot of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai starring Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur, were circulated on the internet, fans of the Biwi No 1 song 'Chunari Chunari' were not pleased. The clips being circulated saw Varun, Mrunal and Pooja dancing to a revamped version of the song and fans, as they often are, did not sound pleased with another one of their childhood favourites getting a revamp. Now, singer of the original song Abhijeet Bhattacharya has said that he was not told that the song is getting revamped for another film. He also said that even though this was a hit song back in the 90s, he never counted it among his 'great songs.' In a chat with HT City, Abhijeet said that no one told him about the revamp and added that they 'don't have the guts' to inform him either. He said, 'Mujhe music composer, film ke director kisi ne nahi bataya ki iss song ko remake kiya jaa raha hai. Himmat bhi nahi kar sakte batane ki. (Music composer, director, no one told me that the song is being remade. They don't have the guts to tell me.)' The original song was composed by Anu Malik and was sung by Anuradha Sriram, along with Abhijeet. It was filmed on Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen. Biwi No 1 was directed by David Dhawan, and so is Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The title of the film is also taken from the lyrics of Biwi No 1's song 'Ishq Sona Hai.' Abhijeet added that for him, 'Chunari Chunari' was never a good song. 'For me personally, 'Chunari Chunari' was not a great song, never. It was one of those 'jaldi gaao aur bhaago studio se (quickly sing and get out of the studio)' song. I never count it among my great songs. This was one of those where the makers just wanted the lyrics to become a hit somehow,' he said. He told the publication, 'For the past 25 years I have heard it being played at functions, parties, and would always think, 'What is it about the song? There was nothing that I remember from the time I sang it'. But I do realise it has become iconic for fans.' Abhijeet was then asked about his reaction to the remake and he said, 'Mujhe farak nahi padhta itni chhoti cheez se (I don't care about such small things). I don't get involved much. In the market, copies are sold more than the original. Only great people know the value of the original. Tuchhi cheez mein main padhta hi nahi hoon (I don't get involved in petty things).'

Abhijeet Bhattacharya Says He Wasn't Told About Chunari Chunari Remake: 'Tuchhi Cheez…'
Last Updated: Abhijeet Bhattacharya's Chunari Chunari from Biwi No. 1 is being remade for Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. Abhijeet said that he wasn't informed about it. Abhijeet Bhattacharya's Chunari Chunari song from Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen's Biwi No. 1 (1999) is a party anthem. Recently, it was announced that the song is being remade for Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur's upcoming film, Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. Fans expressed their displeasure over another remake after leaked visuals from the song shoot in London went viral. Abhijeet Bhattacharya recently addressed the recreation of his chartbuster song, stating that he hadn't been informed about it. He claimed the makers wouldn't have the 'himmat" (audacity) to confront him. Abhijeet Bhattacharya spoke about the remake of Chunari Chunari. He told HT City, 'Mujhe music composer, film ke director kisi ne nahi bataya ki iss song ko remake kiya jaa raha hai. Himmat bhi nahi kar sakte batane ki (Neither the music composer nor the film's director informed me that this song was being remade. They don't even have the courage to tell me)." Surprisingly, Abhijeet acknowledged that the song was never one of his personal favorites. 'For me personally, Chunari Chunari was not a great song, never. It was one of those 'jaldi gaao aur bhaago studio se' song. I never count it among my great songs. This was one of those where the makers just wanted the lyrics to become a hit somehow." For the past 25 years, Abhijeet said that he often heard the song being played at functions and parties, however, wondered what made it so special, as he couldn't recall anything remarkable from the time it was recorded. But he did acknowledge that it had become iconic for fans. When asked if the song's recreation bothered him, given its emotional significance for fans, Abhijeet responded, 'Mujhe farak nahi padhta itni chhoti cheez se (I am not bothered by these petty things). I don't get involved much. In the market, copies are sold more than the original. Only great people know the value of the original. Tuchhi cheez mein main padhta hi nahi hoon (I don't get involved in trivial matters)." As for Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, the film starring Varun Dhawan in the lead role is being directed by his father, David Dhawan. The film was previously slated for release in October 2025. The film will now make its way in theatres on April 10, 2026. First Published:
