Did influencer Haley Kalil aka Haleyy Baylee die at 32? The viral TikTok death claims explained

The internet can be a funny place, but it also houses scary rumours that can spread faster than the truth. Over the past few weeks, TikTok and Instagram have been flooded with claims that influencer and model Haley Kalil, better known as Haleyy Baylee, had passed away. Fans were left concerned and confused until Haley decided to take the matter into her own hands and clear it all up in her trademark humour. Haleyy Baylee death rumour: Where did it even come from? It all began with a TikTok video claiming that Haley had died under mysterious circumstances at her home in Palm Beach. The post included fake details like police investigating her 'death,' neighbours hearing loud arguments, and a black SUV speeding away. There was no real evidence, but the video went viral and left many questioning whether something had actually happened. Haley responds to death claims with humour Instead of denying the rumour in a serious way, Haley leaned into the moment with a perfectly timed joke. Last week, she shared a mock tribute video on Instagram that looked like a digital memorial. It showed fluffy clouds, soft music, and the message 'Forever in our hearts,' along with her real birthdate and a fake death date: August 6, 1992 – May 2025. She even joked about her own 'funeral,' writing that it would take place 'whenever I have time because I think I'm still alive, so bring gifts.' She listed the cause of death as 'maybe foul play, idk yet,' playing along with the made-up details fans had seen online. 'I'm starting to believe I'm gone' Despite Haley's clarifications across her social media platforms, one side of the internet has refused to believe she is alive, as fake viral videos continue to be later reposted. A TikTok video claiming she had died featured the message, 'Recently, we all found out we lost Haley Baylee. She'll forever be in our hearts. Rest in peace.' Reacting with her signature stunned face took to Instagram on Sunday, adding the caption, 'I'm starting to believe I'm gone.' Fans flooded the comments with laughing emojis, relieved that she was okay and impressed by how she handled the rumour with so much personality. Who is Haley Kalil? Haylee Baylee breaks silence on fake death rumors by writing her own obituary

Social media influencer Haley Kalil - famously known by her TikTok name Hayley Baylee - is not dead. The 32-year-old confirmed it herself in a way that is very on-brand for her account's humor: by posting her own obituary. First, Kalil stitched the original video that made claims she had been found dead in her '$14 million mansion in Palm Beach.' The video explained that a personal assistant discovered her body among a gruesome scene. It was also said that the police were investigating the death and had not ruled out foul play - especially because neighbors heard arguing in Kalil's house and saw a black SUV speeding away from the house at 2 in the morning. Kalil first responded to the video looking confused, saying, 'I mean I... RIP I guess?' with the caption, 'it's true I was there.' Then, she followed up on Instagram with an obituary video of herself set to the song One Sweet Day by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men. The 'obituary' had 'forever in our hearts' written at top, with a blue sky and doves as a frame. Inside the frame played a compilation of Kalil's most popular videos, including funny skits and costumes. The obituary read, 'August 6, 1992 - May 2025 I guess' and continues on with, 'Cause of Death: maybe foul play idk yet.' At the bottom, it says, 'A funeral service will be held this week whenever I have time because I think Im still alive so bring gifts.' The post is captioned, 'this is news to me.' And fans were quick to join in on the joke. 'It's like we can still hear your voice,' one TikTok user commented, followed by a broken heart emoji. 'I believed it. I was just waiting for you to confirm ofc,' another joked. 'RIP STAY CHRONICALLY ONLINE UP THERE QUEEN,' a user on Instagram wrote beneath the obituary. Kalil has since moved on from the joke, posting five additional videos to her social media since 'Hailey did you post this from heaven,' another Instagram user joked. But it seems like the joke left just as soon as it came, as Kalil is back to posting her regularly scheduled videos. She has posted five videos on both TikTok and Instagram following her joke obituary. Kalil is knowing for her 'sarcastic' humor, noting in her TikTok bio that 'I just wanna be on SNL.' She's been featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit and is a former beauty pageant contestant.
