RCMP execute two search warrants resulting in seizure of loaded gun and drugs
The RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment Street Crime Enforcement has seized a loaded gun and drugs following two search warrants on Thursday.
In relation to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, the RCMP arrested a 25-year-old man from Halifax and 33-year-old man from Dartmouth.
The men were driving a GMC Canyon that was parked at a building supply store in Shubenacadie. Police conducted a search of the truck and seized of a pre-packaged baggies of cocaine and a collapsible baton.
At the same time, a search warrant was executed in Bedford that resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old Timberlea woman.
During the search of the property, officers seized a quantity of cocaine, a cash counting machine, a vacuum sealer, more than $10,000 in cash, ammunition and a stolen loaded handgun.

Devin Patrick Wilson and Kristen Grace Parnell have been charged with:
Possession for the purpose of trafficking
Careless use of firearm
Contravention of storage regulations
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (two counts)
Possession of firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
Possession of restricted firearm with ammunition
Possession of weapon obtained by commission of offence
Laundering proceeds of crime
The two were held in custody and will appear in a Halifax provincial court on Friday.
The 33-year-old man was later released without charges.
The investigation is ongoing. Police ask anyone with information about illicit drugs or other criminal activity in HRM to contact police.
