BTS Star Jin's New Album Brings Him To New Career Highs Everywhere

In the span of just six months, Jin has made up for lost time and delivered not one, but two solo projects. The BTS singer was the last member of the group to put out collections on his own, but he's quickly adding to his own catalog, including with his latest short offering. The South Korean musician's new EP Echo lands on a trio of Billboard rankings in America this week, and it sets new career highs for the singer across the board. Perhaps most excitingly, Echo opens at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. The title arrives behind only Morgan Wallen's massive I'm the Problem – which scores the largest debut of 2025 – and the seemingly-unstoppable SOS by SZA. Echo launches with 43,000 equivalent units shifted, according to Luminate. That figure is enough to beat the No. 4 peak of Happy, which dropped in late 2024 and served as Jin's first solo release and initial top 10 showing under his own name on the Billboard 200. Echo also brings Jin to a new career high point on the Top Album Sales chart. The BTS star's latest effort misses out on the throne by just one spot, but nothing was going to beat I'm the Problem by Wallen this time around. Echo kicks off its run on the all-style sales list with 34,500 pure purchases. That's about 100,000 fewer than I'm the Problem, but still a healthy opening figure. Happy only climbed to No. 3 when it was brand new and selling at its best. Jin also earns his first No. 1 on the World Albums chart. Echo starts in that lofty position, bringing the South Korean superstar to the summit for the first time and beating Happy, which also reached the top three, but which was never able to lead the ranking.

BTS Star Jin's Solo Track Don't Say You Love Me Tops UK Official Chart

Last Updated: Jin's Don't Say You Love Me has soared in popularity, debuting at No. 1 on the UK's Official Chart just weeks after its release. Jin was the last BTS member to debut as a solo artist, following in the footsteps of his bandmates who had already released individual albums. In November 2024, he unveiled his first solo project, Happy. Just six months later, Jin made a powerful comeback with a new release titled Echo, which has garnered even more attention, particularly in the United Kingdom. One of the standout tracks, Don't Say You Love Me, has seen immense success, debuting at No. 1 on the UK's Official Chart just weeks after its release. With this achievement, Jin has cemented his place on the global stage as a solo artist, making history once again. According to reports, Jin's latest song Don't Say You Love Me is currently at number 1 on the Official Physical Singles Chart. The track has gained huge attention and has managed to beat several other popular songs to reach the top. Some of the songs that passed include What The Hell Just Happened by Remember Monday, Latin Dynamite by Kevin Fingier Collective, Ed Sheeran's Aziza, Lackluster Writing Makes Fundamental by Makeshift Art Bar and All I Ever Asked by Rachel Chinouriri, among others. Don't Say You Love Me marks Jin's second solo entry on the Official Chart. His first was Running Wild, released in November 2024, which debuted at number 6 but only stayed for one week before vanishing. Unlike last year's track, the latest song from Echo has made a much bigger impact. It not only came on top at the Physical Singles Chart but also reached number 1 on the Official Singles Downloads charts. Along with Don't Say You Love Me, Jin's new album, Echo, includes seven more songs. The full tracklist features Nothing Without Your Love, Loser, Rope It, Background, With the Clouds and To Me, Today. Jin is now getting ready to reunite with the rest of the BTS members, RM, V, Jungkook, Suga and Jimin, as they are expected to complete their military service by the end of June. The singer was the first to be discharged, and soon after, J-Hope also completed his service last year. Since then, J-Hope has stayed active in music and even held his own concert tour, Hope on the Stage, which is set to wrap up on June 1. First Published:

BTS' Jin lands 3rd solo entry on Billboard Hot 100

Jin of BTS entered Billboard's Hot 100 at No. 90 with his single 'Don't Say You Love Me.' It is his third solo entry on the main singles chart, following 'The Astronaut' from 2022 and 'Running Wild' from last year. The former, his first solo single, ranked No. 51 while the latter, the focus track from Jin's first EP 'Happy,' entered at No. 53. 'Don't Say You Love Me' fronted his second EP, 'Echo,' which claimed the No. 3 spot on Billboard 200, one spot higher than his previous album. The recent release also claimed the No. 1 spot on Spotify's Top Songs Global chart last week, making him the fourth solo K-pop artist to do so. Currently, Jin is preparing for his first solo fan concert tour set to begin on June 28 in Korea.

BTS Singer Jin Scores His First Hit Album On His Second Try

Jin was the final member of BTS to go solo and release a project under his own name, following his six bandmates all dropping at least one set apiece – and some of them had even shared multiple full-lengths before he gave the world his first. He finally delivered his debut collection, an EP titled Happy, in November 2024. Just six months later, he's back with Echo, a quick follow-up that has become even more successful in the United Kingdom, earning the singer some very special chart placements in the country. Echo arrives at No. 63 on the Official Albums chart. That tally ranks the most consumed EPs and full-lengths in the U.K., blending both sales and streaming activity. While Echo is Jin's second collection as a soloist, it's his first to appear on this list. Sadly, Happy did not perform well enough to make the roster last fall. The same short studio release gives Jin his first top 10 on the Official Albums Sales chart. On that tally, the EP starts at No. 8. It beats out the No. 19 starting point and peak of Happy. Jin also reaches a new career peak on the Official Physical Albums chart with Echo. In that instance, the EP doesn't crack the top 10, but instead, it kicks off its time at No. 15. That's just two spots north of where Happy premiered. Echo launches highest on the Official Album Downloads chart, becoming the third most-downloaded project in the U.K. Somewhat surprisingly, this is not a new high point for the BTS superstar on that tally. Happy beat that position by one space and missed out on ruling by just as many spots when it stalled at No. 2 last fall. Just one track from Echo appears on the charts in the U.K. this week. "Don't Say You Love Me" was chosen as the focus tune from the short collection, and it reaches four rosters this frame. "Don't Say You Love Me" enters the Official Singles Chart at No. 58, giving Jin his fifth solo placement on that all-encompassing songs ranking. Amazingly, the track launches at No. 1 on the other three rosters on which it debuts: the Official Singles Sales, Official Singles Downloads, and Official Physical Singles lists.

Alec Baldwin's children announce they have ambitions to become everything from a quarterback to talk show host

Alec Baldwin's children have ambitions to become everything from a quarterback to talk show host. The 67-year-old actor revealed their big dreams when he shared a video on Instagram in which each of his seven children with wife Hilaria Baldwin revealed what they want to be when they grow up. 'Talk show host,' said 11-year-old Carmen Gabriela, while Rafael Thomas, nine, added: 'NFL QB.' Others in the family said they hoped to become a soccer player, an artist, an actor, a chef or a doctor. Alec reposted the video to his Instagram page with a joking caption: 'The tuition!' The actor and Hilaria, 40, have been married since 2012 and share seven children together – Carmen Gabriela, Rafael Thomas, Leonardo Ángel Charles, eight, Romeo Alejandro David, six, Eduardo 'Edu' Pao Lucas, four, María Lucía Victoria, four, and their youngest, Ilaria Catalina Irena, two, who was born in September 2022. Alec also has a daughter from his previous marriage to actor Kim Basinger – Ireland Baldwin, 29 — who has a daughter of her own, making Alec a grandfather. In April, Alec marked his 67th birthday with a family celebration at home, sharing another Instagram video in which he sits beside daughter Carmen as his children sing 'Happy Birthday' around a cake lit with candles. Alec could be heard joining in with the singing, adding over their voices: 'Happy birthday to ME.' The post, shared on Alec and Hilaria's joint account, read: 'Happy Birthday, Alec. We love you!' Ireland also paid tribute to her father on his birthday via her own Instagram, posting a photo of Alec holding up her daughter Holland in a rare public image. In her caption, Ireland wrote: 'Happy birthday to Peepaw. I'm so glad you were born. Because of your born-ness, I was born-ed. I love you!' Alec replied in the comments: 'And I love you.' The actor, known for his roles in '30 Rock' and 'The Departed', regularly posts updates about his home life and children on social media as he and his wife continue their reality show 'Meet the Baldwins'.
