Benny Blanco, 37, says his mind is similar to a '15-year-old girl's' in brazen new interview

Benny Blanco has revealed that his brain is a lot like that of a 15-year-old girl's when it comes to his music interests. Blanco, 37, who is engaged to singer Selena Gomez, opened up about his record-producing methods in a new interview with Harper's Bazaar for its Icons issue. 'I feel like my mind and a 15-year-old girl's mind are very similar in what we like, musically,' he told the magazine. 'I've just always been drawn to having fun and making stuff that makes me feel good. If it winds up being something that other people like, then that's cool to me,' he continued. 'If it doesn't, then that's also cool to me. I think being iconic is not giving a f**k.' Over the span of his career, Blanco has produced and written tons of hit songs for some of your favorite stars like Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Justin Bieber. Some of his most popular songs include Perry's I Kissed a Girl, and Kesha's TiK ToK. 'I had no idea my career was gonna be what it was gonna be,' Blanco admitted in the new interview. 'When we were making Teenage Dream [with Perry], we didn't know it was gonna be this iconic song people are gonna talk about forever,' he shared. 'We were just making a song and having fun and getting drunk. It's not rocket science. Sometimes you happen to be in the right spot at the right time.' However, he admitted that he is quite spiritual and often turns to things like crystals to support his work. 'I'm like woo-woo, put patchouli all over me and stick a rabbit's foot up my butt,' he told the outlet. 'I'm totally down to go on that journey... I believe in fate, karma, energy.' This year, Blanco has also collaborated on an album with his fiancée, Gomez, titled, I Said I Love You First. The album moved 120,000 in its first week, according to Billboard, and debuted at number two on the Billboard 200. However, it's unclear if he will be helping Gomez re-record one of her favorite songs, Who Says, in the near future. Gomez revealed that she was interested in re-recording the song during a recent appearance on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast. During the interview, Gomez reflected on the time she performed with her band as Selena Gomez & The Scene from 2009 and 2012. Before going solo, she made three studio albums with the group, including one of her favorite songs she's ever made - Who Says. Gomez, who has not gone on tour since 2016, added: 'That's honestly the only reason I would ever do a tour again - to perform Who Says. 'I need to redo it. I should recut it,' the Only Murders in the Building star continued. She also said that she would want to re-record the track because she sounds so 'young' on the original recording. 'I would have to take it down an octave from each year I've sang it,' she added.

Dua Lipa details 'intensely falling' for fiancé Callum Turner as she lifts the lid on their romance in rare move while posing for chic Harper's Bazaar shoot

Dua Lipa has opened up about her relationship with her fiancé Callum Turner as she detailed 'intensely falling' for the actor in a candid new interview. The singer, 29, who also posed for a stunning shoot alongside the chat, admitted she is prepared to be 'vulnerable' and allow love even if it means she gets hurt. Speaking to Harper's Bazaar U.S. for its Global Icons issue, Dua said that although opening her heart is scary she feels 'lucky' she gets to feel it. The couple began dating in early January last year, before making their romance official months later in June. They confirmed their engagement a year later. Discussing their relationship, Dua said: 'I love love. It is a beautiful thing. It's a really inspiring thing. You find yourself so intensely falling all the time in the best way possible. That vulnerability is so scary, but I feel so lucky to get to feel it. 'I've spent a lot of time being guarded or protecting my heart, and so I'm letting go of that feeling and just being like, "Okay, if I'm supposed to get hurt, then this is what's going to happen." I have to just allow love. When asked how it feels to be speaking so candidly about her relationship, she said: 'I'm happier than ever, so it feels like I'm doing a disservice by not talking about it.' 'When you're a public person, anything that's very personal is very vulnerable. It's not like I don't want to share it.' Dua, who turns 30 in August, publicly shared her excitement for the first time since the actor got down on one knee during a recent interview with British Vogue. The pop sensation discussed her family plans, saying she's concerned how having children will fit in with her career as a pop star. 'I'd love to have kids one day,' she said. 'But it's like the constant question of when would there ever be a good time – how it would fit in with my job and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I'd have to take. 'I think it's just one of those things that's going to happen when it happens. I love kids, but I think there's so much more to raising a child than just loving children.' Confirming their engagement, Dua said: 'Yeah we're engaged. It's very exciting. 'This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don't know, be best friends forever - it's a really special feeling.' Late last year, news of their romantic proposal emerged and Dua has regularly been seen with a dazzling diamond ring on her finger. Speaking of their wedding plans, Dua said she hopes to finish her tour and Callum to wrap up filming before they tie the knot. While the wedding hasn't been at the forefront of her mind amid her busy schedule touring, she did admit she has started to think about her dress. She said: 'I want to finish my tour, Callum's shooting, so we're just enjoying this period. 'I've never been someone who's really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden, I'm like: "Oh, what would I wear?"' Dua said she's 'obsessed' with her engagement ring, before insisting 'It's nice to know the person that you're going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.' Dua and Callum were first linked in January 2024 and reportedly got engaged over Christmas in 2024. 'I think it's just one of those things that's going to happen when it happens. I love kids, but I think there's so much more to raising a child than just loving children.' Dua and Callum had 'many Sliding Doors moments', where they were in the same place at the same time without realising, before being introduced to one another at the River Cafe in London. A year later, she was having dinner in Los Angeles with her friend Mustafa the Poet when 'all of a sudden' Callum appeared. She thought: 'Oh, it's that really hot guy from The River Cafe.' During their conversation, the pair realised they both 'just happened to be reading' Hernan Diaz's novel Trust. Asked if she feels they were destined to be together, she replied: 'One thousand per cent.' Dua and Callum first sparked romance rumours in January 2024 when they both attended a Masters Of The Air afterparty in London. Prior to making her relationship public, the Dance the Night songstress revealed during promotion for her album Radical Optimism that she had to find her 'confidence' again after previous relationships had gone awry. Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, she revealed: 'In terms of relationships, I needed to get to this place in order to find what I really needed. You have to be in the act of forgiveness and growing and learning, and being okay with the past in order to move on with what's to come next. 'So it's, for me, Happy for You is a beautiful, happy song, because it's so reflective of my journey. 'I think with every relationship, with every experience you learn about yourself, you learn about things that are hurtful to you, what you expect, what you should be ready to give as well. 'I think, again, it goes back to that exchange of vulnerability. 'I think I've had relationships which have been really hurtful, especially earlier on, where I feel like I've been made to feel like not good enough or have made me lose my confidence and I've had to find that again. 'You learn about your own non-negotiables. I think that's an important thing. It's of course the right person, but it's really about the right relationship. 'You find that in friendships and in love relationships as well, of your non-negotiables.'

‘You look like a goddess' people say as woman shows unrecognisable switch from fake tan to natural ‘pearlescent' skin

A WOMAN has left people with their jaws on the floor after learning to embrace her fair skin without fake tan. Whether that's a gradual lotion or a mousse, fake tan seems to have become a staple for millions across the world. 2 In 1923 fashion icon Coco Chanel returned from the French Riviera with a sun tan and in 1929, Vogue infamously called for women to be bronzed. Even Harper's Bazaar claimed that if you didn't have a glow to your skin, you weren't part of the rage. Since then, the fake tan industry has exploded - in 2023, the self-tanning market was valued at $1.09billion worldwide, Fortune Business Insights reported. In the UK, a staggering 16% of people have used self-tan in the past year, with 15% using gradual tanner, 10% using pre-tan accelerator, and 10% using tanning oil or lotion without SPF, Cosmetics Design revealed. But as beauty buffs are now shifting towards a more natural aesthetic, one woman has been dubbed ''a goddess'' after embracing her gorgeous ''pearlescent'' skin. Although Instagram user Laura Harrington hasn't given up fake tan completely, she no longer relies on it and now feels ''comfortable'' rocking her fair complexion, she revealed in a video. Up until recently, the 25-year-old beauty was ''shackled to the tanning Thursday ritual'' - but now, Laura chooses to apply fake tan only when she feels ''like it'', she said in another clip. Laura, who posts under the username laura__harrington, also recently left social media users shocked with her epic transformation - leaving many inspired to follow suit. In the clip, the beauty and fashion enthusiast explained she ''had an itch'' - ''the itch being getting comfortable in my skin, with or without fake tan''. In the first half of the now-viral video, Laura showed what she looked like before with the fake tan and a foundation to match the bronzed glow. I asked ChatGPT to help me glow up for summer - I did all the tweaks at home myself But underneath the faux tan hid her real complexion - which fans said made her a ''goddess''. After 'scratching' the itch, Laura revealed her natural skin - fair, glowy and ''pearlescent'' - which complimented her features. The jaw-dropping makeover has since taken the internet by storm, winning the 25-year-old close to an astronomical 6million views. Four ways to give yourself a glowdown Thick fluffly lashes are out, so is the fake tan and long how to have the ultimate glow-down in four steps... The term "glow-down" refers to a woman removing what once was the most popular beauty choices, for a more natural look. Eyelash extensions - Thick, bold "Russian lashes" used to be all the rage, but nowadays, girls are opt for subtle, individual eyelash extensions to lengthen what they already have. Nails - Gone are the long, plastic talons, more women are favouring BIAB or gel manis. Hair colour - Remember when everyone wanted icy white hair? Not anymore! Millions of women are trying to go back to their roots (literally), and have soft blondes, and warm gold tones added to their hair, in a bid to achieve the "old money blonde" look. Makeup - Sculpting your face shape through the art of contouring is no more. Ladies are adding freckles and sweeping blush across cheekbones instead. Thousands flooded to comments, where one said: ''I wish more people would embrace being pale. ''It's really pretty to have pearlescent skin. Such a unique feature!'' Another fan chimed in: ''god bless white women who finally realise they look orange with a 'tan' on and embrace their actual skin tone. jesus. u look SO good after.'' ''You look gorgeous with both but you look like an actual fairytale princess in your natural skin. Like big ethereal, classy vibes,'' someone else added.
