Pregnant Katherine Ryan admits she's feeling 'dejected' at the thought of her next baby being a boy as she's been 'antagonised by men' throughout her life and jokes her son is a 'toxic male'

has admitted that she's feeling 'dejected' at the thought of her next baby being a boy. The comedian, 42, who is expecting her fourth child with husband Bobby Kootstra, already has son Fred, four, as well as daughters Violet, 16, and Fenna, two. However, during a recent interview, Katherine spoke of her dread at adding another boy to her brood, recalling how she's been 'antagonised by men' throughout her life. The TV personality also joked that her son Fred is a 'toxic male' as she opened up about facing gender disappointment. Speaking to Jamie Theakston and Zoe Hardman on Heart Breakfast on Monday, Katherine responded candidly when the radio hosts asked how she felt ahead of welcoming her fourth child. She explained: 'I have to say, that I can't ever complain post first trimester, I'm quite big, so I think it might be a boy, so I'm feeling dejected about that, because men have just antagonized me all life, even before their born.' The star went on to confirm the gender order of her children so far, stating: 'Girl, boy, girl', before that she 'never' finds out the sex of her child. 'It's always a surprise and I love that, it's vintage', she explained. The 8 Out Of 10 favourite then went on to confess that she'll no doubt have 'gender disappointment' with her upcoming child if it was a boy as she spoke about her four-year-old son. She told the hosts: 'I will have it this time if it's a boy. You know what it is, my son is a toxic male, he's four years old and he always wants to fight me, I drove him to nursery the other day, he sat behind me and he had a sword held to my throat for a while. 'Like whose giving you weapons. I didn't grow up with brothers, so it's been an adjustment for me. But I love him, he's a very special guy.' Katherine, who initially announce her pregnancy last month, has been open about her fertility struggles in recent years, revealing in 2024 that she had had three miscarriages in five years. Speaking in November, Katherine admitted she would love to have more kids – but was worried about her age. 'I'm old. I used to think I was going to be the babies' dad because I'm working but actually I'm like their grandmother,' she quipped at the time. 'My back hurts, sometimes I give them treats. I'm like a fun grandma.' The TV personality also joked that her son Fred is a 'toxic male' as she opened up about facing gender disappointment The 8 Out Of 10 favourite then went on to confess that she'll no doubt have 'gender disappointment' with her upcoming child if it was a boy as she spoke about her four-year-old son The TV star revealed in 2022 that she had kept her second pregnancy a secret because she was scared it would lead to her losing work. She was eight months pregnant when she presented ITV's Ready To Mingle, a fact that she hid from everyone. Katherine and her husband Bobby have been together since 2018, but have known each other since they were children as they grew up together in Canada. Childhood sweethearts, the two parted ways initially before rekindling their romance this side of the Atlantic. The couple revealed in the latest series of the family's reality show that they 'wanted the option of having a fourth [child].' The series saw the couple exploring their marriage through therapy before visiting a fertility clinic. Katherine admitted in the scenes which aired in February that she knew conceiving a fourth child would be challenging thanks to both her and Bobby's age. 'It's not that surprising that over 40 women have fewer follicles than we once did,' said Katherine. 'But we talk a lot about male fertility as well, which is on a steep decline. But I would still like a fourth baby. 'We are so blessed to have the kids that we do have. Having children is not for everyone, but I personally really like making people. I think it's a superpower if you can do it.' She explained at the time how she and her husband had never previously struggled with getting pregnant but had suffered multiple losses. 'We've always gotten pregnant with the babies quite quickly. I've been pregnant five times in five years, but that also means I've had three miscarriages in five years and the likelihood of that increases as you get older,' she explained.

Olly Murs goes missing from radio show after wild night of partying

Olly Murs was a no-show for his Saturday morning radio slot on Heart Breakfast after partying too hard the night before. The former X-Factor runner-up, 41, usually presents his breakfast radio show on Saturday mornings with TOWIE star Mark Wright from 9am – 12pm. However, he left his partner-in-presenting in the lurch this weekend after staying out to celebrate the release of new song Save Me. Released on July 25, this is Olly's first single since 2022, three years after his last studio album, Marry Me. His new song comes only a few months after he announced that he and wife Amelia are expecting their second child together. It's no wonder Olly felt like celebrating… although that left partner Mark with a very empty chair in the morning. With Olly absent, Mark began: 'So if you've been listening to Heart this morning, you'll know that my co-host Mr Olly Murs isn't in. In a clip shared to the station's Instagram, he then shared footage of Olly partying in a busy bar or pub. 'No one can find him. Didn't know where he was. And someone has just sent this into the studio. Him out last night, caught on CCTV in a bar or a pub,' Mark explained. 'So he's obviously out, had a late night and not turned up to the studio. Very professional Olly Murs, I like it. Yeah, very good.' Back home, Olly took to Instagram to reflect on the night before. In an Instagram Story, he wrote: 'Last night was mad! Might've gone a bit too hard while celebrating the new single coming out with the boys… 'Also seem to have lost my wallet if anyone finds it.' He then shared Heart Radio's clip of Mark, with the caption: 'can't believe I missed the show today. Man does my head hurt!' A video shared to his feed showed the clip of Olly at the bar in full, surrounded by mates as they apparently imitated the iconic 'detention dance' from the film The Breakfast Club. 'best nioight evrrrrr 🍻🍻🍻' read Olly-s caption. Note the beer emojis. Between the impending release of his new song and the announcement of his wife's second pregnancy, it's been a busy time for the Dance With Me Tonight hitmaker. Earlier this year, Olly also unveiled a surprising physical transformation. In a video posted to Instagram, he could be seen doing pull-ups, boxing, cycling and lifting weights in the gym, looking more 'shredded' than he had 12 months prior. Olly's nutritionist, Greg, also posted a side-by-side of Olly's progress, showing his body pre-training plan and after three months. More Trending '12 weeks to shredded and pumped!!' read the caption. Olly met bodybuilder wife Amelia at the same gym, and tied the knot in 2023. Last April, they welcomed their first child together, daughter Madison. One year later, and they had more baby news to share – Amelia is pregnant with their second child. Sharing the news on his Instagram account with a black-and-white picture of the family on an Easter walk together, Olly wrote: 'We're so egg-cited to share this..… Another Baby Murs on the way.' Olly Murs FAILS to show up for work following wild night partying into the early hours after the release of new song Save Me as Mark Wright is left hosting radio show solo

Olly Murs failed up to show up for his radio show on Saturday morning after partying too hard on Friday night as he celebrated the release of his new song Save Me. The former X Factor star, 41, left his co-star Mark Wright in the lurch as he seemingly couldn't make it in for the Heart Breakfast show. He normally wakes up the capital alongside ex-TOWIE star Mark from 9am-12pm on Saturday mornings. But Olly admitted to his fans that Saturday's show was a write off after he woke up with a sore head after a 'mad' night of partying. Taking to Instagram, Olly penned: 'Last night was mad! Might've gone a bit too hard while celebrating the new single coming out with the boys... 'Also seem to have lost my wallet if anyone finds it.' Meanwhile, Mark was left to host the show solo as Heart shared a post of the presenter ark looking lost as he tried to find Olly, only for his partying antics to have been recorded on CCTV. Showing the clip of Olly having a great time, Mark began: 'So if you've been listening to Heart this morning, you'll know that my co-host Mr Olly Murs isn't in. 'No one can find him. Didn't know where he was. And someone has just sent this into the studio. Him out last night, caught on CCTV in a bar or a pub. So he's obviously out, had a late night and not turned up to the studio. Very professional Olly Murs, I like it. Yeah, very good.' Resharing the Instagram clip from Heart Breakfast Olly added: 'can't believe I missed the show today. Man does my head hurt!' Olly's new single will be released on 25 July - and it's his first since 2022. The dad-to-be dropped his seventh studio album, Marry Me in December 2022, which featured his comeback song that went to hit the Number 1 spot in the UK. Olly has been a busy man recently, after announcing his wife Amelia is pregnant with their second child. Taking to Instagram, Olly penned: 'Last night was mad! Might've gone a bit too hard while celebrating the new single coming out with the boys...' The couple, who welcomed their first daughter, Madison, last May, took to Instagram in April to confirm that they will soon be welcoming another baby. During a segment on his radio show after, Olly spoke for the first time about becoming a dad again, admitting he didn't 'expect it to happen this quick'. As his pal Mark congratulated him on the news, he asked the star how 'buzzing' he was. Olly replied: 'Mate, it's been... you know when you have those weeks where you can't tell anyone? It's been really exciting news for us both. 'A shock, we didn't expect it to happen this quick, but just yeah, amazing. We just want to grow our little family.' 'You should be so proud of yourselves. You're the best mum and dad ever to Maddie, and the fact you're doing it again, giving her a little sibling, is just sensational,' Mark gushed. 'I love you mate, and I love the whole family, and I'm just buzzing for you.' 'So I'm going to be at the start soon,' Olly laughed.

Amanda Holden issues six-word warning to burglars before quitting UK with family

In a recent broadcast of Heart Breakfast, the Britain's Got Talent judge revealed that she "cannot wait" to enjoy her family holiday, but issued a word of caution to any would-be thieves Amanda Holden has issued a six-word warning to any potential burglars as she gears up to jet off on holiday with her family. In a recent broadcast of Heart Breakfast, her radio co-host, Jamie Theakston, announced that Amanda was "off on holiday" and inquired whether she was looking forward to her break, to which Amanda replied that she "cannot wait". ‌ Amanda, who is set to jet off with her husband, record producer Chris Hughes, and daughters Lexi and Hollie, has enjoyed a number of overseas trips over the last year or so, including jaunts to Barbados, Dubai and Corfu. ‌ Yet, Amanda's latest trip doesn't give her any cause for concern regarding security. In fact, there's a perfectly good reason why, but she also issued a word of caution to any would-be burglars. ‌ During the show, Jamie addressed his Heart FM colleague by asking: "Amanda, you're off on holiday. I bet you can't wait?" She replied: "I cannot wait. Me and the children and my gorgeous husband, we are gone! But don't go and burgle my house because it's gonna be full up with people. So, just giving you a little note." ‌ In February, Amanda left her fans gobsmacked, as she reportedly looked like her teenage daughters ' sister in a photo taken in Barbados. In the snap, she was wearing a black dress as the family enjoyed dinner. In the post, Amanda captioned it with "Me and my girls" alongside a black heart emoji. Fans descended on the comment section to share their words of admiration for the BGT judge. One person said it was a "gorgeous family pic", pointing out that they "look like sisters", adding that "Hollie has grown into a stunning young lady." However, they weren't the only ones to point out the resemblance. ‌ The positive comments continued, accompanied by a flurry of red heart emojis. Another simply called them "sisters" and added "gorgeous". A third called them "knockouts". In April, Amanda made headlines again by wearing a striking red dress in Dubai. She was again on holiday with her family and shared various photos of her outfit choices on Instagram. ‌ She also drew some positive comments from two other well-known stars. Beneath the photos, Strictly Come Dancing's Tess Daly and Loose Women's Ruth Langsford posted flame emojis. In related news, Amanda was reportedly left red-faced after accidentally flashing her workmen. Speaking on Heart FM, she revealed that she'd opted to have a time-lapse camera set up outside as she'd been doing some work in her garden. However, after it was set up, the electrician told her it had been rolling for a few days, much to Amanda's surprise, as she admitted that she's "always naked in her back garden". She said: "No word of a lie, I have definitely been naked and then for a joke the other day, I was sorting something out in the garden and my husband waved at me, from the bedroom window, and I flashed my boobs at him." Amanda explained that she had "no idea" the camera was up, and now "Andy's going to be reviewing this footage", so she needs it "deleted".

Danny Dyer pulled out his BAFTA during wedding speech

Danny Dyer pulled out his BAFTA award during his speech at his daughter Dani Dyer's wedding. The Human Traffic star has admitted he was thrilled to win a prize for his role in TV comedy Mr. Bigstuff earlier this year and he even took the trophy to his daughter's wedding in May and used it as part of his toast at the reception after Dany tied the knot with West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen. Danny told The Telegraph newspaper: "The first six months have been incredibly emotional ... I won the Bafta. I didn't think I would win it. It's the first time I've been acknowledged really, so to actually win it, and win it for a comedy performance, for Mr Bigstuff, which is me going into territory I'm not known for, I was just so happy. "And then, of course, my daughter getting married to the man of my dreams. It doesn't happen often. I'm sure there's many men who give away their daughters to a********. "You can't choose who your kid falls in love with, but I think for the first time in history I'm more in love with him than she is." Danny went on to reveal he used the award during his father-of-the bride speech, adding: "I wanted to keep it [the speech] light. "So I said: 'Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, today's not about me, it's about this wonderful couple.' "Then I go under the table and bring out my BAFTA. I thought: 'Oh my God, is this narcissistic?' But the cheer it got … "I needed to make people laugh, so that's what I did." He went on to reveal he then used his speech to get guests to sing an updated version of a West Ham football chant, adding: "The speech was written for me really because I alluded to me being more in love with him than her. "Then I got us all to stand up and sing 'Bowen's on fire and he's married Dani Dyer'." Danny previously opened up about his daughter's big day during an appearance on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, saying: "I was in pieces. The best day of my life, it was unbelievable, honestly it was just so beautiful. "I managed to give my daughter away to the man of my dreams. I don't think that's ever happened in the history of any father giving away their daughter. It was the perfect day, it was just beautiful."
