Not again: Mets trade deadline acquisition blows second consecutive game
NEW YORK — A deep, heavy and ominous bell reverberates around Citi Field, and the lights begin to flicker on and off. The bell dongs again. This time, as the sound echoes around the stadium, fans begin to recognize it as Mets right-hander Ryan Helsley's entrance song, 'Hells Bells' by AC/DC. When Helsley served as the St. Louis Cardinals' closer, the song represented the figurative end of the game. With the Mets, since their big trade deadline acquisition transitioned to a middle reliever, it represents the end of whichever inning he's appearing in. Not anymore. These days, it might as well signal the end of a good time. The moment before a lead is about to be squandered. Less than 24 hours after blowing a save, giving up two runs in the Mets' 4-3 loss to the San Francisco Giants, Helsley did it again. Entering the game with a 6-5 lead in the seventh inning, Helsley only needed to face three batters to surrender the lead. His final line: two runs on two doubles in 1/3 innings. After handing the ball to left-hander Brooks Raley, who gave up three runs in 1/3 innings, and then Ryne Stanek, Helsley was in line for the loss. After the final out was made, with the Mets down 11-9, it was official. Helsley earned his third loss as a Met. 'It's hard to describe,' Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said, trying to understand the bullpen's recent struggles. 'Especially with how much talent and elite arms that we've got back there.' In seven appearances with the Mets, Helsley has already blown three saves, while allowing nine runs (five earned) over 5 1/3 innings for an 8.44 ERA. That's a marked increase from his ERA with the Cardinals (3.00 ERA). Helsley might be the main culprit, but he's not the only pitcher in squandering leads for the Mets. Their relievers have allowed 24 runs in their last six games (29 1/3 innings), a 7.36 ERA. The bullpen isn't making any excuses. After the game, Raley answered questions in front of reporters. There, he exuded confidence in the team's ability to turn things around. 'No one's going to feel sorry for us,' Raley said. 'We've had great leaders. (Francisco Lindor) has done a heck of a job every day leading guys, and there's no one dropping their head. We've got lots of baseball left. When it turns I know it's going to be a lot of fun.' Love Island's Harry slammed as ‘biggest game player ever' as he makes major U-turn days before the final
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) HARRY Cooksley has been slammed by Love Island fans as the 'biggest game player ever'. In last night's episode of Love Island, Harry shut things down with bombshell Angel Swift and decided to focus on Helena Ford. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 3 Harry has been branded the 'biggest game player' ever by fans Credit: Eroteme 3 Last night he told Helena he wanted to focus on her Credit: Eroteme 3 And remarked that he'd 'binned off 10/10' Angel for her Credit: Eroteme He was later seen explaining his decision to Helena - but couldn't resist a swipe at the other girl. Commenting on Angel's red swimwear, he said she was 'dressing up as the angel last night, and the devil today'. He added to Helena: 'I binned it off, babe. I said 'you're no good'. I've only got eyes for Hells Bells.' The charmer then called out Helena for not having a stronger reaction to him 'binning off a 10/10' for her. But fans think Harry made the decision to stick with Helena due to the final being just days away. One wrote on social media: 'harry shutting things down with angel was like 'you came too late love and I want a chance to win this s***'.' Someone else said: 'So you're trying to tell me Harrison decided to leave, Dejon decided to apologize to Yas, and Harry decided to bin Angel and go exclusive with Helena just because?' And a third added: 'Harry & Dejon bringing out 'I'm loyal babes' 2 weeks to the final.' During his conversation with Angel, Harry did confess that if she'd arrived earlier things would have been different. He said: 'If it was week 3 I would have been in trouble. Watch Love Island Helena's fuming reaction as Harry rates ex Emma's kiss better than hers in saucy challenge 'I just want to make Helena happy but I still want to spend time with you because I think that you're funny and we get on.'

In pictures: Killarney rocks out to yet another hugely successful BikeFest weekend
The event, which takes place on the grounds of the Gleneagle INEC Arena every year, always proves to be a smash hit success and this year was once again no different as crowds of thousands flocked to enjoy all of the festivities taking place over the course of the long weekend. Leather jackets, long beards, beautiful bikes, tattoos galore, and the glorious sound of bike engines were the order of the weekend in the and plenty of beer too, can't forget that. Highlights over the few days included the annual bike parade that made its way through Killarney on Sunday and this was led by the one and only Irish country music star and lifelong biker Jimmy Buckley who had the honour of being named as Grand Marshal. Guided ride-outs also took place along the Ring of Kerry, Skellig Ring, Caragh Lake and the Dingle Peninsula. Other highlights included the brilliant purposely built 'Bike Village' which became a sort of base camp for the weekend as it welcomed bikers and non-bikers alike to browse the various traders, food stalls, merchandise stands as well as the Harley-Davidson Experiential Zone and free live entertainment for all the family. It all finished up on Sunday with live music from the brilliant AC/DC tribute act Hells Bells as well as The Harleys headlining a great line-up of entertainment. This year's event also saw the introduction of a new autism-friendly hour from 1pm to 2pm on the Sunday which offered visitors a more relaxed experience thanks to reduced sound and lighting. Ireland Bikefest is hailed as one of the most premier free open motorcycle festivals in all of Europe and judging by the success of yet another outing this year, it's safe to say that it will continue to be renowned for years to come.

‘This one's for you brother' – Scottish football cult hero who was Ally McCoist rival sends concert clip to Rangers icon
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) ALLY McCOIST must be the most famous AC/DC fan on the planet. The Rangers legend is a massive music fan who was completely THUNDERSTRUCK prior to a Champions League clash between Bayern Munich and Arsenal earlier this season. 4 Nick Dasovic shared the image of the AC/DC concert Credit: X/Nick Dasovic 4 Brian Johnson and Angus Young of AC/DC perform on stage Credit: Getty 4 The massive AC/DC show in Detroit Credit: X/Nick Dasovic As he prepared for kick-off on broadcast duties with TNT Sport, he started playing air guitar and drums as the Allianz Arena set-list transported him back to the 80s and a gig at the Glasgow Apollo He was caught on camera gawping and asking colleagues: "That can't be AC/DC? "If there's a guitar comes in here in a minute it's unbelievable. "It is! It's Hells Bells, AC/DC. Aw man! You can't beat a bit of AC/DC man." And now one of his former rivals from Scottish football gave a nod in the Gers hero's direction as he took in one of AC/DC's shows on their US Tour out at Detroit. That man was St Johnstone cult hero Nick Dasovic, who is now assistant boss at Detroit City FC. Dasovic locked horns with McCoist many times in the course of six years in the Scottish game from 1996 onwards. So he spared a thought for the Gers icon when the opening chimes and guitar riff of Hells Bells kicked in out in Detroit. Filming the scene on stage, Dasovic said: "Ally McCoist, this one's for you brother. St Johnstone!" Sharing the clip on X overnight, he wrote: "Ally I know you love this song!!! Live in Detroit City. Let's go Saintees!!!" 4 Nick Dasovic chases Ronald de Boer Credit: Times Newspapers Ltd We look back at Ally McCoist's highlights as he celebrates his 60th birthday Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page
