Hilaria Baldwin reveals what she loves most about Mother's Day

Hilaria Baldwin says small gestures are what she loves most about Mother's Day. The fitness influencer, 41, and actor Alec, 66, have been married since 2012 and share three daughters — Carmen Gabriela, 11, María Lucía Victoria, four, and Ilaria Catalina Irena, two — as well as four sons: Rafael Thomas, nine, Leonardo Ángel Charles, eight, Romeo Alejandro David, six, and Eduardo 'Edu' Pao Lucas, four, while Alec also has daughter Ireland Baldwin, 29, from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger. Hilaria said in an Instagram post about Mother's Day in the US: 'I think one of my favourite parts of Mother's Day is watching them try to be secretive while they make cards for me. 'They are so excited and their energy of trying to surprise me melts my heart.' Hilaria's post was a short Instagram Reel and included footage of cards, flowers and gifts from the children as the family marked Mother's Day together. In a 2023 interview with Romper, Hilaria hinted Ilaria would likely be her and Alec's last child. 'I'm always afraid to say it. I was putting away my maternity clothes recently and was like, 'I'm afraid to give them away because then I'll find out I'm pregnant,'' she said. 'Every single time I have a baby, my OB writes down the vasectomy doctor on a Post-It, and I bring it home to Alec. He hasn't done it yet.' Speaking about their large family, Alec said he had no regrets. He added: 'I wouldn't change anything. I always joke with (Hilaria) and say, 'You know where I should be right now, don't you? We should be on (music mogul David) Geffen's yacht, drinking a cappuccino and reading a book, and having dinner with (director Steven) Spielberg or whatever.'' Hilaria responded: 'Instead we're changing diapers!' Alec also reflected on how parenting has shifted for him over the years. He said: 'Everything has changed. I think when you're her age and you have kids, and you get older, you get tougher,' he said. 'For me, as I'm getting older and older, and I don't want to be tougher. I don't want to be anything. I just want to be a father to my kids. 'I want to just watch and see what the years I have left us to experience and not have it be about me.'

They headed home after that visit, but a few days later, his health worsened. Hilaria received a call from their nanny while taking their children to school, urging her to get back home because Alec was "really sick." "I rushed back and found him shaking, unable to stand up. Hilaria Baldwin exposes ‘inherently cruel' A-lister who spread ‘nasty and untrue' lies: ‘I hope I never meet her'

Don't mess with Hilaria Baldwin. The entrepreneur, who is married to Alec Baldwin, called out a 'cruel' A-lister she accused of bad-mouthing her loved ones. In her new book 'Manual Not Included,' she wrote about an unnamed 'famous person, someone [she's] never met, who said nasty and untrue things about [her] and [her] family,' according to People. Hilaria, 41, subtly hinted at the celeb, saying the person mentioned her family in a 'show' and 'even tried to bait [her] and Alec via Instagram.' 'We didn't engage with her and I guess I am proud of that,' she added. 'It made me mad at the system, but here, in this book, is where I can talk about it.' 'I don't need to use her name and I don't want any problems with her, and I would like to be left out of any articles that mention her, because she has nothing to do with me. A total stranger.' Hilaria claimed she 'became very sick with stress' when the person's show was released, especially after a comment left one of her seven kids in tears. 'It gutted me because I couldn't understand how someone could be so inherently cruel,' she continued. 'I don't need an apology,' the former yoga instructor added. 'No matter what, I hope I never meet her.' It's unclear whom Hilaria was talking about, but comedian Amy Schumer, 43, mentioned the Baldwin clan in her June 2023 'Emergency Contact' Netflix special. 'I'm not trying to bully a sociopath — I have a point,' the comedian said about Hilaria faking her Spanish heritage. 'My point is that all evidence points to this woman, since she met her husband, has straight-up pretended to be from Spain.' Schumer poked fun at 'Hilaria from España' actually being 'Hillary from Boston.' The actress joked that Hilaria and Alec, 67, gave their 'von Trapp amount of children … Spanish names like Jamón and Croqueta and Flamenco' despite Hilaria being from Massachusetts. Schumer also claimed that the couple 'don't give a f–k' about the 'Departed' star shooting and killing 'Rust' cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. That same month, Hilaria called out Schumer for being 'cruel to another person.' Reps for the 'I Feel Pretty' star weren't immediately available to Page Six for comment.

Mother's Day 2025: Date, History, Significance and How It's Celebrated

Date of Mother's Day 2025: In 2025, Mother's Day will be observed on Sunday, May 11. It is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of May in many countries, including the United States, India, Australia, and several parts of Europe. History of Mother's Day The modern version of Mother's Day finds its roots in early 20th-century America. It was championed by Anna Jarvis, who held the first official celebration in 1908 in West Virginia to honor her late mother and recognize the sacrifices that mothers make for their children. Inspired by her efforts, U.S. President Woodrow Wilson officially declared the second Sunday of May as Mother's Day in 1914. However, long before the modern observance, ancient cultures also had traditions dedicated to maternal figures. The Greeks worshipped Rhea, the mother of gods, while the Romans celebrated Hilaria, a spring festival in honor of Cybele, their mother goddess. In England, "Mothering Sunday" was observed as early as the 16th century as a religious occasion, eventually evolving into a secular celebration.
