Tamannaah Bhatia says she hates that Vijay Sethupathi is ‘so good': ‘He's such a nonchalant, relaxed, and chill person'

Tamanaah Bhatia is one of the rare actors who're straddling both Hindi cinema and the South Indian film industry with aplomb. She's worked with the likes of Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn in Bollywood, to Prabhas and Vijay Sethupathi down South. While taking about her male co-stars, she explained why she refers to some as 'sir' and some just by their names. 'I don't know, maybe because I met Ajay when I was much younger. And I have a memory of him when I was young,' said Tamannaah, explaining why she refers to Devgn as 'Ajay sir' instead of by his first name only. Tamannaah was cast opposite Devgn in Sajid Khan's 2013 action comedy Himmatwala, when she was in her early 20s. 'In my head, I know him for a very long time. So I call him 'sir' because I know him from when I was young,' Tamannaah added in the interview with The Lallantop. She'll be seen reuniting with Ajay Devgn in Jagan Shakti's Ranger, set in the land of animal poaching, and also starring Sanjay Dutt. Tamanaah Bhatia also talked about working with Vijay Sethupathi in Seenu Ramaswamy's 2016 Tamil slice-of-life film Dharma Durai. 'It's one of my really, really good works, a really sensitive work. It's a very simple story, but very well told. Vijay Sethupathi has done so many amazing, amazing characters, but he's another person who's very good. I hate it he's so good,' confessed Tamannaah. 'He's also such a nonchalant, relaxed, and chill person. I think I love that about him. He's the epitome of cool,' added Tamannaah. She agreed that his effortless acting style is reminiscent of the late actor Irrfan Khan. 'He's damn cool, very easy to work with. In fact, when I did Dharam Durai, I think there was a shift in my performances because I'm also learning from my co-stars. I'm constantly watching different people perform and learning from them. Vijay Sethupathi is one person I learnt that cool and calm approach from in performances,' added the actor. Tamannaah Bhatia made her acting debut 20 years ago with the 2005 romantic film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra. The same year, she made her Telugu acting debut opposite Manoj Manchu in the action film Sree. The next year, she also made her Tamil acting debut opposite Ravi Krishna in the 2006 romantic crime thriller Kedi. She's best known for her turn in SS Rajamouli's blockbuster action fantasy franchise Baahubali. She'll also headline the show Are You A Partner?, also starring Diana Penty.

Farah Khan Says 'Loud' Kajol Is Different Around Ajay Devgn: 'She Is Very Pativrata'

Ajay Devgn joked that he produces Kajol's films so that she stays out of the house more often. Ajay Devgn and Kajol are the epitome of the 'opposites attract' trope. While Ajay is known for being more reserved, Kajol is famous for her chatty personality. However, Farah Khan has said in her latest vlog that Kajol changes around Ajay. Farah said that she lets go of her loud personality around Ajay. Farah Khan said, 'Kajol is a wonderful wife. She is completely different when she is with him. Otherwise, she is all loud and chatty. I saw her on the sets of Himmatwala. She is very pativrata (devoted wife). She was putting food for him, very sweet." When this comment was repeated to Ajay, he said, 'Aisa kuch nahi hai (It's not like that)." He also joked that he keeps producing her films so that Kajol stays out of the house more often. 'Koshish to yehi kar raha hu (I am trying my best)," Ajay quipped. Kajol and Ajay Devgn's journey—from meeting to marriage and parenthood—is often hailed as one of Bollywood's most enduring love stories. They first crossed paths during the shooting of Hulchul in 1995. Initially, Kajol found Ajay too quiet, and he was equally thrown off by her boisterous charm. Yet over time, friendship blossomed into romance. With no grand proposals, they simply 'grew with each other," finally deciding to marry after about four years together. Kajol and Ajay were married on 24 February 1999 at Ajay's Mumbai home in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony. They intentionally kept the affair private, even sending a fake address to the media so paparazzi would not track them down. Kajol described marrying at the peak of her career as a conscious choice to 'take it easier," scaling back from doing four to five films a year to roughly one. In 2001, Kajol suffered a miscarriage in her first pregnancy—an experience they handled with dignity before embracing parenthood wholeheartedly in subsequent years. Their daughter Nysa was born on 20 April 2003, followed by their son Yug on 13 September 2010. Most recently, Nysa has graduated from the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland with a degree in hospitality and luxury brand strategy, and has chosen not to enter films despite her famous lineage. Farah Khan reveals Kajol is totally different when she is with Ajay Devgn: ‘She is very pativrata'

While promoting his upcoming film Son of Sardaar 2, Ajay Devgn recently found himself at the centre of a playful conversation about his personal life. Filmmaker Farah Khan shared a funny anecdote about Kajol's behaviour around her husband, calling the actor surprisingly 'pativrata', a traditionally devoted wife, when she's with Ajay. Ajay Devgn and Kajol have been married for 26 years now. Farah describes Kajol's 'pativrata' behavior In a lighthearted revelation during her latest cooking vlog, Farah shared amusing anecdotes about Kajol and Ajay Devgn's off-screen relationship, especially what she saw during the making of Himmatwala (2013), which was directed by Farah's brother Sajid Khan. Farah said, "Kajol is a wonderful wife. She is completely different when she is with him. Otherwise, she is all loud and chatty. I saw her on the sets of Himmatwala. She is very pativrata (devoted wife). She was putting food for him, very sweet." When Ajay was told about this, he responded with his trademark humour: 'Aisa kuch nahi hai (It's not like that).' He then added, tongue in cheek, that he is producing films so that Kajol stays out of the house more often. "Koshish to yehi kar raha hu (I am trying my best)," Ajay said with a laugh. Kajol and Ajay Devgn began dating in the mid-1990s and married in 1999. The couple has two children, daughter Nysa, born in 2003, and son Yug, born in 2010. Ajay Devgn's latest Son of Sardaar 2 Son of Sardaar 2 is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, marking his Bollywood directorial debut after Punjabi films like Harjeeta and Kali Jotta. An excerpt from the film's review by Hindustan Times read, 'SOS 2 has a firm grip on its genre from the word go, and that works in its favour. Unlike the conventional sequels, which rely on callbacks and jokes from the original, the writing here doesn't. There's no connection to the first SOS. The screenplay is simple, and on track for the most part. The first half begins slow, but as more characters start trickling in, the humour quotient rises.' The ensemble cast includes Ajay reprising his role as Jassi, paired with Mrunal Thakur as his romantic interest, supported by a robust lineup featuring Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Chunky Panday, Vindu Dara Singh, Sharat Saxena, Mukul Dev (posthumously), Roshni Walia, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Sahil Mehta.

‘Pativrata' Kajol serves ‘lady-killer' Ajay Devgn food on set, Farah Khan reveals: ‘She's a completely different person around him'

Actors Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur appeared on Farah Khan's YouTube channel, where they promoted their new movie Son of Sardaar 2. The comedy sequel debuted in theatres on Friday, over a decade after the original. Ajay last major film was another sequel, Raid 2, which made nearly Rs 250 crore worldwide. Before that, he starred in Drishyam 2, which made over Rs 350 crore worldwide. Ajay also headlined the franchise-starter Shaitaan, which earned more than Rs 200 crore globally and inspired a spin-off titled Maa, starring Ajay's wife, Kajol. In the new video, Farah spoke about Kajol's visit to her house during the promotions of Maa, and remarked that Ajay hasn't ever come over, even though they've known each other since he was in college. She said, 'I've known Ajay since college, I was his senior. Girls used to go mad over him, even though he wasn't the conventionally handsome person. I've worked with many heroines who were fighting on the sets over him. They would literally hit each other with wigs. Ajay was a lady-killer. He was always the silent type. That was his modus operandi.' She spoke about the relationship that he has with Kajol, and said that she is not the same alone as she is when she's around him. 'Kajol is completely different when she's with him. Otherwise she's (loud) but I saw her on the Himmatwala set. She was very pativrata, putting food for him, very sweet,' Farah said, talking about her brother Sajid Khan's film Himmatwala. Joking about Maa, she added, 'You're producing movies for her only to keep her out of the house, aren't you?' Ajay replied, 'That's the goal.' Maa was released some weeks ago, and made Rs 51 crore worldwide. In a previous interview, Kajol had also joked that she prefers when Ajay is away for work. 'Ajay and I are completely different otherwise hum logo ko itne saal nahi lagte (it wouldn't have taken us so long), we would have separated long before. I say this quite often that the secret to happy marriage is partial deafness and selective amnesia. You really need to forget certain things about your partner and sometimes unhearing things they said. It is very important,' she told Mashable India. Previously, talking to Instant Bollywood, Kajol shared how she deals with Ajay's obsession with work and said, 'Sometimes I feel like, 'Acha hua 40 din ka outdoor hai', and sometimes I feel like, 'Damn, you should have been here for this'. I have got used to it now. He is very passionate about his work.' Kajol and Ajay Devgn are parents to a daughter, Nysa, and son, Yug.

Jeetendra talks about being a builder after selling land at whopping Rs 855 crore, says people in movies are emotional but that's not the case in real estate: 'Log chaalaak hai'

Veteran actor Jeetendra , now 83, has found major success in the world of real estate and construction in recent years. In a recent interview, he opened up about his approach to the business and how it's quite different from the typical practices in the industry. The actor known for a variety of movies like 'Parichay', 'Khudgarz', 'Caravan' and many more has ventured into real estate business and is doing quite well. Speaking with the YouTube channel Visionary Studioz, Jeetendra said, 'I am not like a typical builder.' He explained that while most builders sell properties before they're even constructed, he chose a different path. 'Typical builders sell the property before it is made, but I don't like that. So I decided that I will construct the building first, and then I will sell it. I might appear foolish as a normal businessman. ' Having spent five decades in the film industry, Jeetendra shared that he finds a stark difference in the way people operate in both fields. 'I have spent 50 years in the film business and in my time, I don't think I have seen people as nice as them… such nice, kind-hearted people. People in the film business are very emotional but when I started this business, I realised that they have a different system.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like La mejor alarma contra los robos, instalación rápida en un día - 30% descuento Verisure Alarma Ver oferta Undo He added, 'Log chalak hain, sayane hain (People are clever, cunning here),' and admitted that maybe he isn't as sharp in the real estate world. Jeetendra also spoke about the values that bring success in the construction business. 'In the movies, people work with emotions but that doesn't work in real estate. All the successful builders who exist today, they have all done good work and people have appreciated them. And those who are riffraff, those who just run away after completing the construction, make false promises, most of them are behind bars. You are only appreciated for your good work. ' The 'Himmatwala' actor has spoken up about being a builder, just after he made headlines last month as he sold a land parcel in Mumbai's Andheri area for a whopping Rs 855 crore. Reports said the deal involved two adjoining plots totaling about 2.39 acres, with three buildings and around 4.9 lakh sq ft of built-up space.
