Telangana government continues to extend necessary support to citizens returning from conflict hit Israel and Iran
New Delhi [India], June 23 (ANI): Following the directions of the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the Government of Telangana, continues to monitor the ongoing crisis in the Middle East actively and has been extending all necessary support to Telangana citizens returning from the affected regions, as per a release. In a coordinated effort, New Delhi's Telangana Bhavan facilitated the safe transit of six Telangana students who arrived at midnight yesterday--four from Iran and two from Israel. All six students had pre-booked their onward flights to Hyderabad and were safely seen off by Telangana Bhavan staff at 5:30 AM. Officials ensured their comfort and well-being during their stay in Delhi and assisted them until they boarded their flights. Further, seven more Telangana citizens are expected to arrive in New Delhi tonight. These individuals have successfully crossed over from Israel to Amman, Jordan, and are scheduled to reach India shortly. Arrangements are being made to receive and support them at the airport and at Telangana Bhavan. Meanwhile, several other Telangana residents stranded in Israel are facing delays due to the temporary closure of Israeli airspace. Despite these disruptions, the Government of Telangana remains fully committed to assisting all affected citizens and is in constant coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs, Indian Embassies, and concerned authorities. The Chief Minister has instructed officials to ensure that every Telangana resident arriving from the region receives timely assistance, proper accommodation, and onward travel support. Citizens are advised to stay in touch with official channels and avoid relying on unverified information. The Government of Telangana stands firmly with its people during this challenging time and will continue its efforts to ensure their safety and swift return. Earlier on June 21, chants of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' and 'Hindustan Zindabad' echoed through the Delhi Airport late at night as a flight carrying 290 Indian nationals evacuated from Iran under the Operation Sindhu touched down. Among those evacuated was Tazkiya Fatima, a resident of Noida, who recounted the tense situation in Iran and praised the coordination between Indian authorities. 'There is a situation of war over there. We were not sure how we would make it out of there, but the Government of India made the whole process very smooth. I am very thankful to the Indian government. I am a resident of Noida,' she said. (ANI)

Long Queues At Embassy, Over 300 Indians Leave Israel: NDTV Ground Report
New Delhi: Hundreds of Indian nationals have begun departing Israel using land routes as the conflict between Tel Aviv and Iran escalated after the US bombed Tehran's three key nuclear sites. Outside the Indian Embassy in Israel, buses were lined up today morning and people formed queues with packed bags in their hands. An NDTV journalist reporting from ground zero saw many Indian nationals, including students, waiting near the embassy in Israel to return home. With Israeli airspace closed and commercial flights suspended, over 300 Indian nationals have started taking the land route. They are being taken to Jordan or Egypt, from where they will be flown to New Delhi. The first batch of evacuees has already left Israel. There are reportedly about 18,000 Indian nationals currently living in Israel. When the US joined Israel's conflict against Iran on Sunday, triggering fears of a full-blown war in the Middle East, India extended its 'Operation Sindhu' to Tel Aviv. Last week, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) had said that India will evacuate those Indian nationals "who wish to leave" Israel. "Their travel from Israel to India will be facilitated through the land borders and thereafter by air to India. The government of India accords the highest priority to the safety and security of Indian nationals abroad," it had said. New Delhi has asked all Indian nationals to register themselves with the Embassy of India in Tel Aviv at if not already registered. "In case of any queries, they may contact the 24/7 Control Room established at Embassy of India, Tel Aviv: telephone numbers: +972 54-7520711; +972 54-3278392; email: it said. Operation Sindhu in Iran India launched Operation Sindhu to evacuate its nationals from Iran last week as Tehran opened its otherwise closed airspace exclusively for Indian evacuation flights. Over 1,400 Indian nationals have been evacuated so far. Chants of "Hindustan Zindabad" have been echoing through the Delhi Airport as flights carrying the nationals land. Thousands of Indian students, most of them from Jammu and Kashmir, are stranded in Iran. According to the deputy chief of mission at the Iranian embassy, Mohammad Javad Hosseini, around 10,000 Indians are living in Iran, and those wishing to return home are being evacuated.

Indian Evacuees Chant "Hindustan Zindabad" As 2nd Batch Returns From Iran
New Delhi: Chants of "Hindustan Zindabad" echoed through the Delhi Airport on Friday night as a flight carrying the second batch of Indian students evacuated from Iran landed. The flight, carrying 290 Indians - mostly from Jammu and Kashmir - reached India shortly after Iran lifted its airspace restrictions for India's 'Operation Sindhu'. The flight carrying the evacuees landed at 11:30 last night. While the evacuation was arranged by New Delhi, the flights were operated by Iranian airline Mahan. The evacuees also chanted slogans like "Modi Zindabad" and waved flags. One of the evacuees, a woman, cried tears of joy. Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian government, she said she found solace upon landing in India. "If there is anything that can be called a solace in life, it is in India," she told NDTV. Other evacuees also thanked the Centre and said they did not face any difficulties during their journey. While in Tehran, the students recalled hearing the sounds of bombings. Most of the evacuated Indians in the second batch are medical students pursuing MBBS degrees at Iranian universities. "#OperationSindhu flight brings citizens home. India evacuated 290 Indian nationals from Iran, including students and religious pilgrims, by a charter flight. The flight arrived in New Delhi at 2330 hrs on 20 June and was received by Secretary (CPV& OIA) Arun Chatterjee," Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal wrote on X. The first batch carrying 110 Indian students were brought back on Thursday night. They were transited via Armenia and Doha before they boarded a flight to Delhi. Another flight from Turkmenistan's capital Ashgabat is scheduled to arrive in Delhi later today. India launched 'Operation Sindhu' earlier this week after tensions between Iran and Israel escalated, with both sides attacking each other. The air war began on June 13 when Israel attacked Iran, in what it said was aimed at preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons - an ambition Tehran denies. The attack raised alarms in a region that has been on edge since the start of Israel's war in Gaza in October 2023.
