"We would like to do it": Sarah Jessica Parker on 'Hocus Pocus 3'
Washington DC [US], July 15 (ANI): Actor Sarah Jessica Parker shared updates about the sequel of the 2022 fantasy comedy film, 'Hocus Pocus 2', directed by Anne Fletcher, reported People. 'Hocus Pocus 2' is a sequel to 'Hocus Pocus', a 1993 fantasy comedy film directed by Kenny Ortega from a screenplay by Mick Garris and Neil Cuthbert, and a story by David Kirschner and Garris. Disney announced 'Hocus Pocus 3' was in development two years ago. 'No more developments, other than we would like to do it,' said Parker, as per the outlet. 'We would like to do it, and we've been having some conversations,' added the actress, who played Sarah Sanderson opposite onscreen sisters Winifred 'Winnie' Sanderson (Bette Midler) and Mary Sanderson (Kathy Najimy) in 'Hocus Pocus' and 'Hocus Pocus 2', reported People. In an interview in 2023, the president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Production, Sean Bailey, shared that the third Hocus Pocus film was in development. Jen D'Angelo, the 'Hocus Pocus 2' screenwriter, said in October 2023,' that we are able to explore every aspect of these stories and take these characters on a bunch of fun adventures,' reported People. D'Angelo added, '3 is still very much in the early stages; we don't really know what it is.' 'I want to do right by the fans, and I definitely want to keep in mind what they want to see,' she continued, 'but at the same time, I feel like movies can go slightly awry when they're only catering to the fans and trying to check off a list, like, 'We got this and this, so the fans should be happy', ' according to People. Midler shared in July 2024 that she is aware of a script that 'should be forthcoming,' however, she also added that, 'I haven't been paying much attention,' reported People. (ANI)

More than 20 years after setting tongues wagging, Sarah Jessica Parker has confirmed she dated Nicolas Cage. The Sex and the City icon, 60, and the Longlegs star, 61, met when filming the 1992 rom-com Honeymoon in Vegas, with filming taking place the year prior. Parker met her now husband, Matthew Broderick, in 1991 after being introduced by her two brothers, with the pair marrying in 1997. Meanwhile, Cage married his first wife, Patricia Arquette, in 1995 before the couple divorced in 2001. Decades of rumours have followed Parker and Cage, with the former finally confirming they were in a relationship at some point during an interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. 'That was really unpleasant at times when people would have opinions — not about the work,' the actress, 60, told podcaster Alex Cooper on Wednesday's episode of Call Her Daddy. While Parker would 'sometimes' get frustrated with viewers' 'misunderstanding' of her character, Carrie Bradshaw, she said it was 'the personal stuff' that really got to her, reports Page Six. 'At that time, I thought I was a fairly confident person,' she shared, explaining that 'it really comes into question and is tested when you're filleted, in a way, when you're opened up.' Despite the pain it caused, Parker said, 'I know you know this: We're better for those kinds of experiences, but not all of us are good at it right away.' The mother of three, who has been married to actor Matthew Broderick since 1997, recalled one specific time when 'a magazine said something really mean' about how she looks. 'It was like a kick in the rubber parts,' she admitted. 'I was just like, 'Why is this a problem? Why is this deserving of your time and why do you seem to delight in saying it?'' Parker confessed that the remark, which she did not repeat, left her 'sobbing because it felt so purposeful.' She believed that was 'the only time [she] really cried about' negative comments about her physical appearance.
