J-Hope Announces A One-Night-Only Live Concert In Cinemas Globally

J-Hope's solo Hope on the Street Tour ends with a live cinema broadcast, capping off a milestone ... More year filled with new hits, global touring, and Billboard history. (Photo by Stephane Cardinale - Corbis/Corbis via Getty Images) 2025 has been an especially busy year for J-Hope. The BTS musician has been focusing heavily on his solo output, as the group that brought him to superstardom remains on hiatus until all seven members complete their military enlistment. In addition to releasing several new tracks and making history on the Billboard charts in the past few months, J-Hope also embarked on his first solo tour. The trek, which has taken him to a number of countries across several continents, only has a few dates left – and one of them will be truly special. Fans around the world will get to take part in the concert, as it will be broadcast live to theaters globally. J-Hope's Hope on the Street Tour is ending in about a month, with his final two shows scheduled for May 31 and June 1 in Osaka, Japan. The May 31 concert will be broadcast to cinemas worldwide, live. This special event gives people a chance to take in the show once more — or finally get to see J-Hope live if they weren't able to attend one of the performances. The film, titled J-Hope – Hope on the Street in Japan: Live Viewing, is sure to be a thrilling show for die-hard J-Hope followers who didn't live close enough to one of the concerts in the trek to attend, and perhaps also a quick moneymaker for Hybe and BigHit, as the companies are credited as both director and producer. Concert films have become increasingly popular and populous in traditional movie theaters over the past several years, as streaming platforms continue to claim more market share in the movie industry. With both streaming-only titles gaining popularity and the window between theatrical and home release shortening, theater chains have had to find creative ways to attract audiences. Music has been a major part of that strategy, especially via concert films. Most of these projects are not live, though, which makes the South Korean star's move an especially exciting one. While J-Hope is not the first to attempt a real-time screening, it's still a daring technological move to sell what may be thousands — if not tens of thousands — of tickets for one night and hope everything goes off perfectly. Tickets for the approximately three-hour movie go on sale Friday, May 9, less than a month before the film hits theaters. J-Hope has a sizable solo catalog with which to create his tour's setlist. He launched his solo career with the mixtape Hope World in 2018, followed it up with the 2022 album Jack in the Box, and just last year, he dropped the EP Hope on the Street Vol. 1. In 2025 alone, he's reached the Hot 100 with a trio of new tunes. "LV Bag," a collaboration with Don Toliver, Speedy, and Pharrell Williams, came first. J-Hope also fronted both "Sweet Dreams" with Miguel and "Mona Lisa," which helped promote the tour and may be the beginning of another exciting chapter in his solo musical journey, as a part two of his Hope on the Street EP may be in the works.

J-Hope Brings ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE' Tour Finale To Cinemas Globally

Continuing a monumental year that cemented his status as a stadium-sized solo superstar in K-pop, J-Hope is sharing the final bow of his world tour with movie theaters around the globe. The BTS star's landmark debut solo world tour, Hope on the Stage, will culminate in a live cinema broadcast of its closing night at Osaka's Kyocera Dome on Saturday, May 31. In partnership with HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC, Trafalgar Releasing will host the J-Hope Tour 'Hope on the Stage' in JAPAN: Live Viewing across theaters worldwide as the three-month trek wraps with its two Osaka shows. The finale marks a global celebration for a journey that began in February in Seoul and spanned 31 concerts across 12 regions — including a historic headlining show at Los Angeles' BMO Stadium that made J-Hope the first Korean male soloist to headline a stadium in North America. The special live broadcast fully displays every era of J-Hope's evolving artistry. Audiences will experience dynamic segments that focus on his contributions to BTS' hip-hop legacy, his 2018 Hope World mixtape, J-Hope's debut studio album Jack in the Box (2022), and last year's Hope on the Street Vol. 1 EP. The tour also brings to life his latest solo singles, 'MONA LISA' and 'Sweet Dreams' featuring Miguel, with both songs celebrating inspiration gained after completing his mandatory military enlistment. Ahead of the Live Viewing announcement, the always-smiley J-Hope recorded a message to fans worldwide about keeping his promise to reach as many of them as possible this year: Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, added, 'We're delighted to continue our partnership with HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC to bring j-hope's electrifying 'Hope on the Street' tour to cinemas worldwide. With a global fanbase that embraces the cinematic experience, this Live Viewing event offers a unique opportunity to witness his debut solo world tour on the big screen.' The three-hour live event serves Trafalgar Releasing's latest K-pop showcase following last week's big announcement of ATEEZ's recent world tour hitting cinemas this May. J-Hope Tour 'Hope on the Stage' in Japan: Live Viewing marks a special moment for J-Hope and BTS fans ahead of the group's expected reunion later this year when all seven members have completed their mandatory Korean military service this summer. As J-Hope's first solo outing reaches an exciting close in Osaka, he fulfills his promise to bring the stage to fans everywhere in the latest exemplification of the power of BTS' ARMY and K-pop event cinema.

See j-hope's best style moments from his Hope on the Stage era

In the early days of 2023, the realms of K-pop and fashion seemed to propel forward faster than ever. A large part of it, attributed to the luxury fashion houses sweeping up the members of one of the biggest groups in the world—BTS. Week on week, there were announcements and concurrent front row appearances for the fashion shows at the time; Jimin for Dior, Suga at Valentino, and soon after, j-hope for Louis Vuitton. Out of the septet, the latter was the only member who was continuing a relationship already previously nurtured, considering the group's prior ambassadorship with the maison. And yet, he came in swinging still; his playful and dynamic sense of style on full display when the announcement was dropped. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Louis Vuitton (@louisvuitton) Part of the brief? Think a terrific range of eclectic outerwear options, chromatic ensembles—which always feels like a special ode to Hope World —and a strategic mix of elevated streetwear. In an instant, the moodboard was written, and the mega star solidified his sartorial smarts and experimental tendencies, one which he has consistently developed over the years, even through his time in South Korea's mandatory military service. Yet in recent months, the style mover has been taking it one step further—with the outfits for his Hope on the Stage world tour that kicked off earlier in February. Whilst his more casual ensembles on stage features plenty of baggy denim, varsity jackets, oversized graphic tees and one's trusty Jordans—all hallmarks of his streetwear leanings—it's his ardent love for kitschy accessories as well as bold, vivid designs that truly cast him in his own league amid the rest of the BTS members. And whilst there is plenty of LV mixed into the ambassador's stage looks, it's the chromatic joy of his opening look which really seals the deal: a modular rotation of five different crimson ensembles custom made by South Korean designer Juntae Kim. As we gear up for j-hope's upcoming two-night stop in Singapore, we chronicle the best style moments from his Hope on the Stage era so far. @uarmyhope 1 / 9 j-hope in custom Jiwon Choi and Bluemarble @juuntaekim 2 / 9 j-hope in custom Juntae Kim and Balenciaga @uarmyhope 3 / 9 j-hope in Louis Vuitton Courtesy of HYBE Labels 4 / 9 j-hope in custom Juntae Kim and Gentle Monster @uarmyhope 5 / 9 j-hope in Hope on the Stage merchandise Courtesy of HYBE Labels 6 / 9 j-hope in Our Legacy and Levi's @uarmyhope 7 / 9 j-hope in custom Jiwon Choi and Birth of Royal Child Courtesy of HYBE Labels 8 / 9 j-hope in Chin Down @uarmyhope 9 / 9 j-hope in Louis Vuitton
