A change of scene never hurt anyone. Whether you're lacking a little inspiration or just need a desk for the day, there are plenty of awesome co-working spaces in Dubai. From smart business centres to cost-free free desk spaces, here are all the best spots to spend your shift. Free co-working spaces in Dubai 25hours Hotel One Central Imagine your office had its own coffee bar, vinyl listening station and video games to play on your lunch break. That's what you get to make the most of in the 25hours Hotel One Central co-working space, where you can work for free if you order a coffee (or a bite) from the café. Take your calls from a giant egg chair, pick up a book from the library and don't forget to browse the souvenirs before you head home. Free (if you purchase food or drink). Open Mon-Sun 7am-10pm. 25hours Hotel One Central, Trade Cente, (04 210 2522). A4 Space The free co-working space in Alserkal Avenue is a great spot to turn into your base camp for the day. Surrounded by some fellow great thinkers, you can wander the galleries on your lunch break, taste some quality coffee and even check out a unique selection of rare books and first editions at Zerzura, which also lives inside A4. Free. Open Mon-Sat 9am-7pm; Sun 9am-8.30pm. Alserkal Avenue, (04 333 3464). B Hive Opening in 2025, the co-working space is located inside Burjuman Mall, with chilled out seating and a range of activities if you need to de-stress for a hot minute. There are arcade games, giant chess boards and table football to try out, meeting spaces to book and of course, a coffee kiosk so you can keep caffeinated. It's free to register and once you do you'll have access to a series of different events hosted in the space to really let you make the most of it. Free. Open daily 10am-10pm. Al Mankhool, (04 352 0222). Jameel Arts Centre Credit: Jameel Arts Centre The arts centre is completely free to access, you just need to check-in and register on arrival. All about creativity, there are a selection of galleries, a sculpture park and a roof terrace to explore, but you can work in the library all day long. There's free Wi-Fi to stay connected and a restaurant where you can take a well-earned caffeine break. Free entry. Open Sat-Thu 10am-8pm; Fri noon-8pm. Jaddaf Waterfront, (04 873 9800). Budget co-working spaces Alba Corp Innovation Hub The professional co-working and business centre, offers a selection of options at its centre in JBR. Kitted out with a modern coffee shop and lounge, professional desks and even a VIP desk area to take some very important calls, you'll definitely get the job done in here. From Dhs65 (day). Bureau at Gold & Diamond Park A cute hangout to spend the day, there are plenty of comfortable places to reply to your ever-growing inbox at the Bureau. You can choose from annual or monthly memberships, with discounts for students available. Your access allows you to book meeting rooms, bring a guest four days per month, print 50 pages and of course, work away in each of the different areas. Looking for somewhere to sit on your lunch break? There's a Jones the Grocer Café next door. Keep an eye out for the monthly event series each month, from breakfasts to panel talks. Plan prices vary. Cloud Spaces, Fountain Views Spend the day getting your work done with Burj Khalifa views, ceilings lined with cute fluffy cloud lights and professional desks to keep you focussed. The flagship Cloud Spaces location, you're right in the heart of the city and can choose from a regular desk, a pod or a 'cloud bubble' to start ticking off that 'to-do' list. You can pay for a monthly membership, but a day pass is priced from Dhs120, which will grant you access, two complimentary coffees and free WiFi for the day. Dhs120 (day pass). Open Mon-Fri 8am-6pm. Dubai Mall, Downtown Dubai, (04 490 0900). NEST Dubai Located in the TRYP by Wyndham hotel, you can get a range of benefits depending on which membership option you go for. A day pass will give you access to the shared space and a private pod, but if you opt for a monthly pass, you can enjoy printing and meeting room benefits, as well as access to the hotel gym and pool for a post-work workout. UNBOX Community API World Tower The community work space is set up for every need, from swish meeting rooms to private offices, chilled co-working tables and much more. Looking out onto Sheikh Zayed Road, you can enjoy access to the in-house coffee shop and secure high-speed WiFi. If you upgrade to the permanent hot desk option, you can also book out meeting spaces, print and enjoy P.O box and mail management. Dhs85 (day pass). API Tower, Trade Centre, (04 528 0600). WO-RK, Burjaman Metro Station Yes, that's right. You can work in the Dubai Metro, and it's a pretty sweet deal. Located inside Burjuman Metro station, the WO-RK space is an ideal spot to spend a day getting those reports done, and you can get access for as little as Dhs35 for a day pass, as well as a free trial on your first visit. It takes place in a quaint but bustling little neighbourhood, Sheikh Hamdan Colony. When you visit, you will be spoilt for choice with over 55 restaurants in the neighbourhood serving up special menus for the occasion. Expect to enjoy bites spanning savoury kebabs to sweet treats, spicy Asian delights and more. You are sure to come across one of the city's finest hidden gems. The restaurants will be serving up their special treats from iftar until late into the night. Go early to try as much as possible, or visit when the hunger pangs call, you're sure to find something you will love.
