Katy Perry narrowly avoids massive wardrobe malfunction while performing

Popstar Katy Perry expertly handled a potentially tricky moment during a live show in Las Vegas over the weekend. The I Kissed a Girl singer, 40, is currently in the middle of her Lifetimes world tour and was on stage in the Nevada city on Saturday. After her brief trip to outer space earlier this year, Katy will be coming to the UK in October, with dates planned for Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, and London. As has been shared in a number of viral clips since the start of the tour, Katy starts sprinting at one point in the show – specifically during a remix of her song Part of Me. And during her Vegas performance over the weekend, that sprint nearly resulted in an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction – but the Roar hitmaker played it off well. Starting off at jogging pace during an instrumental section, Katy ran around the circular stage in thigh-high boots and a sparkling crop top and bra combo – her outfit for the tour. The video then shows the Hot n Cold singer suddenly slowing down to a walking pace as she reaches around to try and hold the straps of her bra together. Styling out the sudden stop into a cool strut, she then laughed the situation off and let her fans know what had almost happened before asking one of her crew to put her bra back together. 'Oh, my bra's gonna come off,' she joked, dancing along to the song. She then danced for a few seconds more before realising she couldn't get her bra back together on her own. Walking over to the side of the stage, Katy signalled for one of her crew to help, saying 'Get my bra back on, Patrick' before turning to the audience and joking: 'Sorry, guys, you didn't pay that much.' Katy then got back to her performance, which immediately involved shouting 'Woah-oh!' at the top of her lungs and dramatically performing a death drop. On TikTok, fan Carlo De Santis said: 'This looks like a dream you try to explain to someone and then give up halfway through. 'Katy Perry ran her bra off and there were these guys who were half-robot swaying back and forth'… oh never mind.' However, the tour itself appears to be going along successfully, despite Katy receiving calls from critics to suspend all shows after a 'cringe' performance went viral. More Trending On X, user Mo wrote a month ago: 'She needs to cancel this tour before it cancels her career I'm so serious.' Clips circulating on social media in April showed Katy dancing on stage, swinging from side to side and throwing her hands up in the air and falling to the floor, just like in the most recent video. After watching, many people weighed in – and some were less than impressed, with TikTok user Madji saying: 'This is the worst choreography I have ever seen in my life.' Despite the calls for Katy to cancel the tour, very few tickets remain for her UK dates later in the year and several of her dates around the world have sold out. Got a story? Katy Perry's 4-Year-Old Daughter Makes First Public Appearance Supporting Mom's Space Flight

As Katy Perry made history as part of Blue Origin's first all-female crew on Monday, April 14, her 4-year-old daughter was her biggest fan as she watched her mom make her brief flight from space back to Earth. The 'Dark Horse' singer ensured that Daisy was there in spirit in the capsule as she sweetly paid tribute to the toddler's namesake. Perry revealed that she brought a daisy flower into space with her, holding it in her hand as she left the capsule upon her return. The 'Hot n Cold' singer, who shares Daisy with Orlando Bloom, told reporters that her child was first and foremost in her thoughts as she joined fellow first-time passengers Lauren Sánchez, Gayle King, Amanda Nguyen, Aisha Bowe, and Kerianne Flynn on the rocket. Calling the bucket list experience 'second to being a mom," she told reporters that being a parent made her hesitant to agree to the opportunity. "That's why it was hard for me to go because that's all my love right there, and I have to surrender and trust that the universe is going to take care of me and protect me and also my family and daughter,' Perry—who also co-parents Bloom's son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr—told the crowd upon landing. Perry revealed that she wanted to 'model courage, worthiness and fearlessness" to her daughter, adding, 'I am full up from being able to get that gift of being a mom, and to go to space is incredible.' While Perry has previously shared photos of her young daughter and opened up about the toddler's personality—apparently the 'extrovert' is a big fan of 'mom's songs'—it's the first time fans got to see Daisy's face. In a clip from the broadcast, Daisy could be seen reacting to her mom's space flight in real time, the blue-eyed toddler had bright blonde hair and wore a red, white, and blue jacket. It appeared that the star also paid tribute to Daisy's love of music by giving her fellow flight members a mini concert in space. Perry, who previously revealed that visiting space has been her dream since she was 15, revealed that she sang Louis Armstrong's 'What a Wonderful World' instead of her own hits like 'E.T.' and 'Firework.' Katy Perry Asks Taylor Swift for ‘Advice' Ahead of Lifetimes Tour — Report

There is no 'Bad Blood' between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift in 2025. The 'Hot n Cold' singer, in fact, is reaching out to Swift for advice regarding her upcoming tour, that consists of 83 dates. Katy Perry will embark on The Lifetimes Tour on April 23 in Mexico City. A source close to Katy Perry has reportedly revealed that the pop singer is taking Taylor Swift's advice regarding her upcoming tour. The insider says there is 'frustration' about the lack of spotlight for her tour, which will conclude on November 11 in Madrid. Taylor Swift has made history with the Eras Tour that amassed $2,077,618,725 in tickets, as per reports. Not only the monetary success, Perry was also impressed by Swift's choice of costume design, set lights, and more. So the insider says Perry was 'quizzing' Taytay about the tour's production. The source told The Sun, 'Katy saw one of Taylor's shows last year and was excited and inspired by what she saw. She knows she can count on her to give her some positive feedback.' Another person close to the 'Fortnight' singer claimed Perry is like a 'sponge' who has absorbed all the advice before starting the tour. She said, 'Taylor wants Katy to succeed and have a great tour and enjoy her time while on the road, and Katy appreciates that.' Meanwhile, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry's topsy-turvy friendship started a decade ago. The 14-time Grammy-winning singer started the friendship with a genuine compliment on Twitter. In 2009, T-Swizzle posted on Twitter, 'Watching the Waking Up in Vegas video. I love Katy Perry. I think I'm going to hang her poster on my wall now.' Over the next five years, their friendship deepened. Swift and Perry exchanged birthday wishes and more on social media. The 'Teenage Dreams' crooner solidified the friendship on Swift's Fearless Tour. She appeared on the stage to perform 'Hot n Cold.' Since then, the duo went through a phase of falling apart and reconciling. After Taytay's 'Bad Blood,' which fans speculated was about Perry, the duo was rarely spotted together. It all changed again with Swift's single, 'You Need To Calm Down.' Perry appeared on Swift's music video for 'You Need To Calm Down' as a burger and Swift dressed as fries. The duo shared a hug and ended the long-brewing rumors of a feud.
