Actor Amit Sial tears into Anurag Kashyap's remarks on actor's entourage fee
Actor Amit Sial strongly responded to filmmaker-actor Anurag Kashyap's recent remarks regarding actors' entourages and their luxury demands significantly driving up film budgets. Sial questioned Kashyap's criticism, suggesting that such dynamics are well known within the industry and should come as no an interview, he emphasised that producers must be well-prepared to manage these situations rather than expressing regret or blame later. According to Sial, taking responsibility and making informed decisions is key, and lamenting over budget constraints caused by entourage expenses reflects a lack of foresight rather than a genuine speaking to Hindi Rush, Amit Sial said, 'These extra costs and their effects on the film and its overall budget are 100 per cent real. You take someone who is high on a pedestal; you go to him as a producer, knowing damn well who he is as a person and an actor.' He added, 'To expect people to suddenly change into a good actor or person and bring them down to your level just because you wrote a great script is delusional. That person must throw out 500 people like you daily from his life.'Amit Sial, best known for his roles in 'Jamtara' and 'Maharani', continued to say, 'I understand that the costs are high, but you can't choose the wrong people for the kind of film you want to make. You want a huge star who will guarantee you an audience; then you have to bear these costs without complaining. There is no reason to complain; don't do it if you feel like something wrong is happening; no one has kept a gun to your head.'advertisementFor the unversed, the retaliation came after Kashyap's remarks during an interview with Humans of Cinema, where he sparked discussion about industry expenses.'It's not a holiday; it's not a picnic. A lot of the money that is spent doesn't go into making the film. It goes into the paraphernalia; it goes into the entourage. You're shooting in the middle of a jungle, but one car will be sent to the city three hours away specifically to get you that five-star burger you want,' he the acting work, Amit Sial was last seen in 'Raid 2', co-starring Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor and Saurabh Watch

Amit Sial reacts to Anurag Kashyap's comments about entourage costs: ‘Big stars ignore 500 people like you daily'
Anurag Kashyap caused a stir when he made strong statements about the functioning of the industry. The director called out Bollywood entourage costs, which ultimately eats into the budget of a film. In a recent interview, actor Amit Sial reacted to Anurag's comments, saying that he should either follow the system that he is aware of, or cast actors who want to do his 'raw films'. In a chat with Hindi Rush, the actor agreed with Anurag's concerns about the extra costs, but said that a producer should be ready for such things with A-listers. 'Of course, these external factors are a problem. He was saying the right thing. But, without taking any names, if an actor is at a certain level of stardom and a producer approaches them, they already know what's going to happen. Yet they still went to him,' he said. Amit said that one should prefer actors who will happily do their films instead. 'What did you think before going? You will transform that star into a good actor? Aap usko neeche le aaoge kyunki itni kuch mahaan cheez likh di aapne? Vo aapke jaise 500 logon ko nikaal ke phenk deta hoga apni life se roz (You think you've written such a great script that a major star will cut fee? He must be chewing up and spitting out 500 people like you everyday). You can't do such things. If you want to make your raw content, there are other actors for such roles. You should go there,' he added. 'A corporate structure came – it has production designer, casting director, background score, etc. All these never existed earlier. Now that it's there, the paraphernalia of filmmaking has also increased. You will get many people for the type of films you want to make. Don't make poor choices. Par fir jo actors honge, unke naam par film nahi bikegi. Jiske naam par film bikegi, uske lie toh karna hi padega, ghoom fir ke baat vahi agayi. You have to follow the rules to work here. Don't do it if you have problems, no one has a gun to your head,' he asserted. Anurag made his statements about a year ago. In an interview with Humans of Cinema, he complained about budgets being allocated to unnecessary thing, and said, 'It's not a holiday; it's not a picnic. A lot of money that is spent doesn't go into making the film. It goes into the paraphernalia; it goes into the entourage. You're shooting in the middle of a jungle, but one car will be sent to the city three hours away specifically to get you that five-star burger you want.' Amit Sial responds to Anurag Kashyap's comments about actors and their entourage: ‘If you feel like something is wrong, don't do it'
Director Anurag Kashyap always seems to be right in the middle of a debate with everyone from and beyond the industry. In an old interview, the director had called out filmmakers and producers for spending too much money on entourages belonging to actors and other paraphernalia on the sets, which ultimately leaves the team with less money to invest in the actual film. Actor Amit Sial responded to these comments, and while he agreed with Kashyap to a certain extent, he admitted that there are various facets to this reality. While talking to the YouTube channel Hindi Rush, Sial pointed out that these costs are very much real, and they do affect the overall budget allocation while making a film, but a producer needs to be ready for these kinds of things. 'These extra costs and their effects on the film and its overall budget are 100 per cent real. You take someone who is high on a pedestal; you go to him as a producer, knowing damn well who he is as a person and an actor. To expect people to change suddenly into a good actor or person and bring them down to your level just because you wrote a great script is delusional. That person must throw out 500 people like you daily from his life.' Sial said, 'You want to make a raw and real film; then there are actors and people for that. Now the number of roles on a film set has also increased in India, and you have to choose the right people for your film. I understand that the costs are high, but you can't choose the wrong people for the kind of film you want to make. You want a huge star who will guarantee you an audience; then you have to bear these costs without complaining.' The actor made it clear that this is the current position of the industry and there is no reason to complain. He added, 'Life is very simple; there is no need to complicate it without any reason. There is a set path to your goals, and it takes money to walk every step on that path. There is no reason to complain; don't do it if you feel like something wrong is happening; no one has kept a gun to your head.' The comments Sial is responding to were made by Kashyap about a year prior. While talking to Humans of Cinema, Kashyap complained that most of the money that goes into a film isn't actually used in making the movie. He blamed this phenomenon for big movies flopping on the big screen and said, 'It's not a holiday; it's not a picnic. A lot of money that is spent doesn't go into making the film. It goes into the paraphernalia; it goes into the entourage. You're shooting in the middle of a jungle, but one car will be sent to the city three hours away specifically to get you that five-star burger you want.' Sial, on the other hand, was last seen in Raid 2, alongside Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and Rajat Kapoor. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, after a 21-day theatrical run, the film currently sits on an India nett collection of Rs 154 crore.
