Country singer Ella Langley cancels several shows after 'fighting sickness'

Ella Langley has been forced to cancel a handful of shows amid illness. The 26-year-old country singer, who broke out with her Riley Green duet "You Look Like You Love Me," shared the news with fans in an Aug. 11 Instagram post. "I'm so sad to be posting this," Langley wrote. "The past several weeks have been tough. I've been fighting sickness and feeling more run down than ever. After a lot of thought, I've made the hard decision to take a couple of weeks to rest and focus on my health — mind, body, and heart." She added: "I want to be fully present for all the moments ahead, and I know I can't do that without first taking care of myself." Ella Langley sweeps 2025 ACMs: Country breakout star wins big The ACM-winning singer stressed that people should listen to their bodies and hearts when they're "telling us to slow down." She ended her post with a Bible quote from Matthew 11:28: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Among Langley's canceled concerts is her Aug. 19 performance at The Listening Room Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as two shows opening for country star Morgan Wallen in Ohio and dates in Montana, Idaho and Colorado. Langley said she will be back on the road in September. Her first date next month is Madison, Illinois, on Sept. 7, which will be followed by two appearances on Wallen's I'm The Problem Tour in Canada and several more dates on Langley's The Still Hungover Tour. Langley's star has continued to rise after her hit "You Look Like You Love Me" earned her a slew of awards at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards, including new female artist of the year and single of the year. The Alabama native released her debut album "Hungover" in August 2024 after breaking into the music scene in 2021 when she went viral on TikTok for her track "If You Have To." As she's gained momentum, Langley has opened for artists including Wallen, Green, Jon Pardi, Cody Johnson and Dierks Bentley and embarked on two tours in promotion of "Hungover."

Rising Country Star Apologizes After Embarrassing Onstage ‘Oopsie'

Ella Langleyhas been on the country music scene for a hot minute, and she's still learning a few things. First, make sure to get everyone's name correct. Langley released her debut single, "Perfect," in 2018. From there, the Alabama native relocated to Nashville to take her country music career to the next level. In a few short years, she signed with Sony Music Nashville, made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry, and released her first studio album, Hungover. So far, her highest charting hit is "You Look Like Love Me," and the sky's the limit on this young talent. However, with her career taking off, she let the excitement get the better of her. During a recent stop on Riley Green'sDamn Country Music Tour, Langley, who opened for Green, shouted out the night's other opening acts. She gave love to Wyatt McCubbin and Hudson Westbrook… …except, it wasn't Westrbook that performed. It was Vincent Mason. "I made an oopsie, and the problem is, the oopsie was so strange, because I have no idea why," said Langley in a TikTok apology. She recapped the night and how she first gave a shout-out to Wyatt McCubbin. "And I then I said 'Hudson Westbrook,' and then everyone was like, 'woo!' but kind of confused. And I was like, 'why are you confused?'" she said. "Because I knew it was Vincent Mason, but, for some reason, I said Hudson Westbrook." "So, public apology. Sorry. Sorry, Vincent. Hudson, shout out to you! And Vincent, sorry," she concluded. Thankfully, there were no hard feelings. Langley's video ends with her and Mason sharing a hug. "I'm not used to having openers perform for me at all. I'm used to being the first one," she explained. And Mason chimed in the comment section. "Literally, who is Vincent Mason?" he jokes. "No idea," added Langley. Even Hudson Westbrook got in on the fun. "I'll take the shout out any day," wrote the 20-year-old country singer. Miranda Lambert Surprises Ella Langley With ACM Awards' New Female Artist of the Year

Country star Miranda Lambert surprised fellow singer-songwriter Ella Langley on April 25 with her very first Academy of Country Music (ACM) award. Lambert, who holds the most wins in ACM Awards history, shared the announcement in a special 'I'm here to tell you how proud I am of you for being the top-nominated artist in the Academy of Country Music Awards this year,' Lambert, 41, said in the recording, which was shown on the big screen alongside the stage. 'You are my friend, first and foremost, a fellow dog rescue advocate, you are a co-writer, you are my soul sister in country music, and a partner in crime. But I'm also here to tell you some bigger news: You, my friend, have won 'New Female Artist of the Year.'' Lambert took home the same award in 2007, just two years after releasing her debut studio album, 'Kerosene.' Langley appeared visibly shocked by the news, saying 'God bless America' before launching into her next song. 'Every day of my life, I've prayed about this and thought about it,' she said after her show while holding the trophy. 'I'm so grateful for the team I have around me. I'm just really grateful to have fans that are listening to the music and see that it is truth, and that I'm just a real-life human being going through life like the rest of everyone else.' Langley released her debut album, 'Hungover,' in August 2024. The record featured her breakout hit 'You Look Like You Love Me,' a duet with country singer Riley Green. The song garnered Langley her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as well as the 2024 CMA Award for 'Musical Event of the Year.' With eight nods, including 'Female Artist of the Year,' 'Single of the Year,' and 'Song of the Year,' Langley received the most nominations at the 2025 ACM Awards. The 60th award show, hosted by actress and singer Reba McEntire, will take place at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on May 8.
