The Beverly Hills Skin Whisperer: Jennifer Gerace's Emmy-Ready Revolution
The Beverly Hills Skin Whisperer: Jennifer Gerace's Emmy-Ready Revolution originally appeared on L.A. Mag. If you want to understand Jennifer Gerace, start with what she's not: just another Beverly Hills esthetician with a fancy title. When celebrities call her the "Beverly Hills Skincare Muse"—a nickname that stuck after a client's wife used it—they're acknowledging something the beauty industry's most discerning clients have discovered: Gerace isn't following trends but creating a town where looking camera-ready isn't just vanity but also career currency, Emmy season is skin season. And nobody navigates the high-stakes world of pre-awards skincare like Gerace.L.A. is a city that worships innovation almost as much as it fears aging, and Gerace has mastered both. After years working behind the scenes—14 years as a makeup artist for CNN in D.C., consulting for plastic surgeons, working for Hydra Facial—she noticed a critical gap in the market. "People were just doing whatever the guy next door was doing," she says with characteristic bluntness. "I was able to see everything they were doing wrong."Gerace pioneered bringing exosomes—derived from human tissue and able to "trick your skin into behaving like you're 22"—into her treatments. It's this scientific rigor, coupled with results that speak for themselves, that has celebrities booking months in advance. But it's her work with plasma technology that truly puts her in a category of her own. "Plasma has been around for decades, but it's really just starting to come to the US within the last five years," she explains. Unlike light-based treatments that can trigger hyperpigmentation, her ionic plasma delivers what she calls a "manufactured lightning strike" that vaporizes tissue and kills bacteria without risking technology is so coveted that one Saudi family flew her to Dubai to install all her equipment in their home and train their in-house staff. "They've been scarred by lasers," Gerace explains. "They wanted something they couldn't find anywhere else."For all her technical expertise, it's perhaps Gerace's adaptability that makes her truly indispensable to her clients. She works appointment-only, all hours—sometimes starting at 7 a.m. for clients catching early flights. One client flies in from Boston three times a year for head-to-toe plasma treatments that take three those panicking with just weeks before a big event, Gerace has solutions: "If I have 30 days, I'm going to probably micro-needle twice... If I have a little more than a month, I'm probably going to do plasma, because it's just a better treatment." Her latest innovation? Electromagnetic stimulation, which finds nerve branches and creates intense muscle contractions. "You could never do that on your own," she says of the technique that temporarily reconstructs facial contours without filler. "It's like doing little reps in the face."Gerace doesn't need a storefront on Rodeo Drive or a reality show to build her clientele. She operates entirely by word of mouth, treating entire "friend circles and operations of family members... granddaughters, grandkids, mother, sister, grandmother."In an industry where celebrity endorsements are currency, clients like Bella Thorne and Noah Cyrus speak volumes. Gerace's no-nonsense approach strips away the flowery language of beauty marketing to deliver the real thing: results that stand up to Hollywood's harshest spotlights. For Emmy nominees (and the rest of us), that might be the most valuable red carpet accessory of all. This story was originally reported by L.A. Mag on Jun 5, 2025, where it first appeared.

Love Island's Grace Jackson reveals the secret to getting runway ready as the bikini-clad star stuns at Miami Swim Week
Grace Jackson has revealed the secrets behind getting runway ready after making her debut at Miami Swim Week 2025. The blonde bombshell, 26, oozed confidence while walking the runway at 1111 Lincoln Road with a whole host of other models, including Iskra Lawrence. Grace showed off her toned physique in a skimpy pink and orange bikini, and sported a flawless makeup look. Prior to the big day, Grace visited Dr Rosh Ravindran's clinic at The Colony, Winslow for a HydraFacial, leaving her with a glowing complexion for the runway. A HydraFacial is a medical-grade skin treatment that uses patented technology to cleanse, extract, and hydrate the skin. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Grace Jackson has revealed the secrets behind getting runway ready after making her debut at Miami Swim Week 2025 Cosmetic doctor Rosh has previously injected Grace with lip filler and botox before entering the Love Island villa. Dr Rosh, who has treated multiple celebrities, shared exactly what Grace requested to have tweaked before she went into the villa. In the video, Grace said: 'I don't feel like I need much Botox . I think this lifts ever so slightly more. Yeah, can you see? I know my hair's tied back, but I think I just need a little bit of a refresh. 'I do have hooded eyes anyway, but I think I need a little bit of a lift here—maybe my Botox has drooped a little and pushed the eyelids down. Just a small lift, you know how I like a bit of a cat eye? 'My lips, I've not had them done in about a year and a half. I don't know if they're going slightly asymmetrical.' Dr Rosh Ravindran said: 'They're slightly asymmetrical, yeah, just a touch. We can even that out easily. 'For your jaw, we can definitely do Masseter Botox. [Clenches jaw] You know how you get these middle cheek splits? Everyone assumes it's filler, but we know it's not. 'On one side, you don't have it much, but on the other, there's a slight shadow. We can smooth that out if you'd like.' Sharing the results on Instagram, Dr Rosh wrote: 'All Stars Villa Glow-Up for @gracexrosa! Before heading into the Love Island All Stars villa, Grace stopped by for a refresh. 'Subtle enhancements to refine symmetry and highlight her natural features—ready to make an impression on day one.' It comes after Grace's boyfriend Luca Bish was slammed by fans for his over-the-top method of asking her to be his girlfriend recently, which bore a striking similarity to the way he asked his ex-girlfriend Gemma Owen to be 'official'. The Love Island stars found love on the latest series of All Stars earlier this year and came runners-up to winner Gabby Allen and Casey O'Gorman. As Luca took things to the next level with the blonde bombshell, eagle-eyed fans spotted several similarities between his latest OTT gesture to the one he did for ex Gemma after meeting on the ITV2 show the first time around. Luca and Grace enjoyed a lavish getaway to Abu Dhabi, and during the trip, he hired someone to set up a stunning, floral beach private dinner, which looked nearly identical to the red roses date he prepared for Gemma. The arrangement featured a pathway of roses on the beach and a neon sign at the end of the walkway with the question: 'Will you be my gf?' Luca also arranged a romantic candlelight dinner for his new girlfriend overlooking the ocean as the sun set.

‘Life-changing' Sydney-based clinic is transforming the skin of thousands of shoppers with common skin concerns
Seasonal change can cause havoc on our skin, increasing dryness, irritation, sensitivity, and even acne. While switching up a skincare routine can help boost your skin barrier, seeking a long-term solution is going to be your best bet for keeping a complexion looking happy and healthy. That's why hundreds of shoppers are rushing to book an appointment at renowned Sydney-based skin clinic, SDL (Sydney Dermal Lounge). With three salons across the city, SDL is 'leading the bare skin movement,' providing a wide range of effective skin treatments that can help to improve the appearance of many common skin concerns. Because let's face it; a difficult skin journey can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and low on confidence. Whether you're battling acne, redness, a dry or irritated complexion, SDL founder Savannah Lee made it her mission to create a clinic that offers effective, medical-grade solutions. 'I opened my first clinic when I was 26, with an 18-month-old on my hip and a vision that felt so much bigger than me,' Savannah tells Best Picks. 'At the time, everyone was opening laser hair removal clinics. It was the safe bet. The easy sell. But I wasn't interested in shortcuts or trends. I had already spent over a decade in the industry managing some of Australia's leading laser and cosmetic clinics and I had seen the gaps up close.' Instead, SDL provides a range of 'life-changing' treatments across skin health, skin correction, maintenance and hair restoration for 'real results'. Combined with expert-lead guidance from a team who have gone through their own skin struggles, the Sydney-based clinic ensures that each and every shopper leaves feeling comfortable and confident with their skin. Offering more than just a 'quick fix,' SDL is home to many popular treatments including HydraFacial and AviClear laser. Savannah says that 'if something doesn't deliver results — we don't offer it. We're known for skin correction that works.' If you're ready to kickstart your skincare journey, SDL offers an in-depth 60 minute skin consultation to discuss any skin concerns and indentify which result-driven products and treatments are best suited. 'I wanted to focus on skin. Not just treating it. But correcting it properly and with full certainty,' she adds. With nearly 80,000 followers on Instagram and dozens of in credible before and after shots, it's no surprise that shoppers are rushing to book an appointment. SDL is one of the few clinics in Sydney to offer AviClear, a laser treatment for treating acne. It has minimal downtime with 30-minute sessions, done in series of three, spaced four to six weeks apart. 'It's not just about clearing skin — it's about doing it safely and long-term.' 'We see so many clients who've been through harsh medications, antibiotics, and even multiple rounds of Accutane — only for the acne to return. And the side effects? Gut issues. Mood swings. Hormonal imbalance.' 'The full course is around $3,000 — and while that might sound like a big number up front, it's often less than what people spend over the years trying to control acne through skincare, prescriptions, supplements, and coverups.' Shoppers who have visited SDL have given the clinic rave reviews. 'The ladies at Sydney Dermal Lounge are so friendly and professional. They always make me feel gorgeous and relaxed after my treatments. Love their work and totally recommend,' one shopper commented. 'THIS IS THE PLACE TO VISIT! I am a mature aged person and I visit for ant-aging laser skin tightening and I undergo pigmentation treatment. I feel and look 20 years younger,' another wrote.
