One dead in Greenville Co. motorcycle crash
GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – One person died late Saturday night in a wreck on Interstate 85 in Greenville County. According to the state highway patrol, at around 11:14 p.m. Saturday, a motorcyclist was traveling on I-85 northbound near mile marker 45 when they ran into the back of a tractor trailer. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The wreck remains under investigation by the highway patrol and Greenville County Coroner's Office. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. I-85 ‘road rage' driver vanishes after bullet misses other driver's head ‘by inches'
Deputies searched Saturday for a 'road rage' driver who fired multiple rounds into another car on Interstate 85 in Rowan County during Friday afternoon rush hour. A bullet missed the other driver's head by 'less than three inches,' lodging in the driver's headrest, according to a Rowan County Sheriff's Office statement. 'The victim, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, reported that a truck had sped up behind them and, in an apparent road rage incident, pulled up next to their vehicle, displayed a handgun and fired multiple shots,' sheriff's officials said. Investigators aren't saying what they believe prompted the road rage. Bullets were fired around 5:15 p.m. near I-85 exit 68, just north of Cabarrus County, investigators said. After the shooting, the driver who was shot at pulled over and waited for emergency crews on N.C. 152 East. EMS took the driver to Atrium Health Cabarrus hospital. Investigators aren't saying if the driver was shot, only that 'he is lucky to be alive,' according to the sheriff's statement. Deputies are looking for a white, two-door, Chevrolet extended cab truck with a black logo and red or yellow markings. The logo had the word 'Construction' and possibly a phone number near the bottom, deputies said. .Witnesses saw the driver head north into Davidson County. Crash closes lanes, caused delays on I-75/I-85 NB in midtown Atlanta
A crash had lanes closed on Interstate 75/Interstate 85 North in midtown Atlanta, right where I-75 northbound and I-85 northbound split. As of 11 p.m., two right lanes were closed and traffic was backing up just after 17th Street NW and before SR 13/Buford Highway. The crash cleared by 11:30 p.m. There is no word yet on any injuries. Crash reported on I-85S in Anderson Co.
ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A crash was reported off of I-85 South in Anderson County. The South Carolina Department of Transportation stated that the right lane is currently closed on mile marker 15. Interstate 85 North crash shuts down lanes in Davidson County
DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Multiple lanes of Interstate 85 North in Davidson County are closed as a result of a crash on Saturday afternoon, The crash occurred around Mile Marker 87 just ahead of where US 29 forks away from I-85 near the Davidson County Airport. Traffic camera footage from shows a tractor-trailer sitting in multiple lanes of the road askew and multiple cars in the grass off the shoulder. Three of the four lanes of the highway are currently closed. Traffic camera footage also shows congestion beginning on I-85 North back towards Mile Marker 86 near Belmont Road.
