Everyone loves Bad Bunny in his Calvins. Even his mom.
Bad Bunny's bare-all billboards were no shock to his mother. The singer, 31, told "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert during a July 22 interview that his mother was unfazed by a recent bare-chested Calvin Klein ad. In the billboards and commercials for the underwear brand, Bad Bunny stripped down to his boxer briefs and bared his heavily-tatted chest, delighting fans who were quick to fawn over the notoriously private singer-songwriter. Colbert, however, was more curious about his inner circle. "Here's where you broke people's brains," the late-night host, who recently announced his show's cancellation, said, holding up a photo of a scantily clad Bad Bunny. "This is the Calvin Klein ad from last year. What was your family's reaction to this?" he quipped. "My mom already knew that she made a hot guy," Bad Bunny responded to a raucous laugh from the audience. "So it was nothing new for her." The ads, which dropped last year, mimic other Calvin Klein campaigns in which stars such as Justin Bieber and Cindy Crawford have sported partial nudity for fans (and underwear buyers), reintroducing themselves as sex symbols. Bad Bunny, already a fashion icon, is having a record (several) years. The Latin superstar, born Benito Ocasio, kicked off his historic No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí (I Don't Want to Leave Here) residency July 11 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, the island's largest indoor arena. The first nine dates are reserved for local residents only, as Bad Bunny wanted to pay tribute to his homeland. He'll continue his performances every weekend through Sept. 14 with shows that are already boosting tourism in Puerto Rico. Contributing: Melissa Ruggieri, Jay Stahl
