Chelsea offer Man United two new swap deal options for Alejandro Garnacho

Manchester United have already signed three big-money players to revamp the team's attack, but INEOS are not done yet as per recent reports. Ruben Amorim still wants a midfielder, with Carlos Baleba being the top target, while Gianluigi Donnarumma has been earmarked as a potential option to replace Andre Onana in goal. However, bringing in both these stars will mean a significant outlay, and the only way for both deals to materialise if for the co-owners to sell well. Marcus Rashford has departed on loan to Barcelona, but the likes of Rasmus Hojlund, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Alejandro Garnacho are all expected to depart this window. Garnacho only wants Chelsea The Argentine has attracted interest from Bayer Leverkusen, Saudi Pro League sides as well as several Serie A teams, but he seems hellbent on only moving to Chelsea. And the Blues are ready to take advantage, preparing a cut-price offer for the Carrington wonderkid. The Red Devils want a minimum of £50 million while the Stamford Bridge side will start off with only £30 million. They are prepared to include one of their players in order to bring the price down, with The Peoples Person already relaying swap deal talks involving Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku. With Benjamin Sesko onboard, United have no need for another striker, and hence, Fabrizio Romano has revealed on GMS that Chelsea have now offered United two other options. Axel Disasi, who was a former target, and Renato Veiga have also now being offered as part of a swap deal. The latter, a full Portugal international and Nations League winner, can play as a centre-back and defensive midfielder, which United are currently crying out for. But INEOS have clearly said no to any player deal possibilities, and want straight cash, which they want to subsequently reinvest into the squad. As for Garnacho, he is even willing to stay put and not play for the next six-twelve months and allow his price to dwindle further in order to force through a move. 'Chelsea and Manchester United are in direct contact, but sources tell GMS that there's still a difference in valuation, as Chelsea want to pay around £30m and Man United start from £50m. Two new swap deal options discussed We can also reveal that Chelsea offered the chance to include some players as part of the negotiations. Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku have been discussed, as well as Axel Disasi and Renato Veiga. 'The answer from Manchester United? They want money, fresh money to re-invest on different positions rather than going for these players despite the appreciation for some of them. 'Sources also tell GIVEMESPORT that Garnacho informed Man United about that: Chelsea or nothing, even if the price to pay is staying at the club completely out of the project.' Both new players have struggled in Chelsea, and it makes very little sense to swap Garnacho for either of them. United's stance regarding the Argentina international's price has been undermined due to Amorim publicly disowning the winger. It will be interesting to see how much INEOS can finally earn from his sale. It will count as pure profit, which hopefully will pave the way for Baleba to move to Old Trafford this window. Journo confirms exactly what it will take for Man Utd to sign ‘sensational' target before deadline day, he wants the move

Manchester United remain firm admirers of Gianluigi Donnarumma amid his contract stalemate with Paris Saint-Germain. Following yet another turbulent campaign from Andre Onana between the sticks at Old Trafford, INEOS are contemplating whether to grant Ruben Amorim a new No.1 for his first full season in the dugout. Last term, Onana conceded 65 goals in the 50 appearances he made in all competitions. When he was omitted from the squad for United's final league game of 2024/2025 at home to Aston Villa, it prompted speculation that he would be offloaded when the window opened. Onana nearing United return after injury setback His exit has yet to materialise since June, although he has garnered interest from AS Monaco and sides in Saudi Arabia, meaning a deal could still come to fruition before deadline day. Additionally, Onana has not featured in United's pre-season fixtures due to a hamstring injury. It's anticipated that he will return to full fitness in time to start against Arsenal on the Reds' opening day this Sunday, with Altay Bayindir expected to drop back to the bench. In the meantime, United's links with Donnarumma have ramped up the longer he's been at an impasse with the PSG board. Donnarumma to United: What's been said so far? (Photo by) The Italian colossus, 26, has just one year remaining on his current deal at the Parc des Princes, and has yet to agree to new terms or an extension that would keep him in Paris beyond June 2026. Unwilling to lose such a valuable and 'sensational' asset for nothing in less than 12 months' time, PSG have made the shot-stopper available for a cut-price fee of £26 million – making it no surprise INEOS are sizing up a swoop. Fabrizio Romano claimed United's key decision makers were currently considering pursuing a cheaper and younger option, such as Senne Lammens, or going all-out for a proven and experienced 'keeper like Donnarumma. It's also been claimed that the Euros winner is attracted to the prospect of representing the 20-time champions after four years with the Ligue 1 giants. For Donnarumma to make the move in the coming weeks, journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft expects United will need to facilitate sales beforehand, having already overseen three mega-money transfers this window. ‘Pressed further' on Sunday night: One club have stepped up their efforts to sign Man Utd star this weekend

To say he's only garnered interest from a few suitors since returning to Old Trafford this summer, Jadon Sancho is playing hard to get. Back at the start of June, it was confirmed that Chelsea had decided against signing the Manchester United outcast permanently and instead opted to pay a £5 million penalty to bypass the £25 million buy obligation. Given he still has no future at United following his notorious fallout and exile with Erik ten Hag in September 2023, Sancho has formed one fifth of INEOS' 'bomb squad' along with fellow outcasts Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia and, prior to his Barcelona switch, Marcus Rashford – all of whom were expected to be sold before 2025/2026 got underway. Jadon Sancho: The state of play this summer Sancho last played for United in August 2024 in the Community Shield Final. (Photo by) Sancho's lacklustre form in recent years has led to him being valued at just £17m by United; they initially kept his price tag at £25m immediately after his Stamford Bridge departure, but soon conceded that no clubs would be willing to pay such a fee for such a substandard player. His most likely destination throughout the window has been deemed as Juventus, although even they put their interest in the 25-year-old on the back burner to prioritise a move for Ademola Lookman instead. Reporter Alfredo Pedulla revealed on Sunday morning that Sancho has rebuffed an approach from Besiktas in recent days – a deal that would've seen him reunite with the manager that signed him for United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Sancho holding out for Juventus move The forward was uninterested in the prospective switch due to his desire to join Juventus in the coming weeks. Hours later, Pedulla claimed that Roma had made a fresh enquiry to gauge the feasibility of a deal for Sancho, having 'pressed further' on Sunday evening by talking to United's intermediaries. Again, though, the Italian journalist added that Sancho has 'rejected everything' up to this stage. He is giving full priority to the Old Lady. Man United planning brutal step to bring in Champions League hero this window

Manchester United's attack has been completely revamped, and now Ruben Amorim seems to be on the hunt for reinforcements in midfield and in goal. Carlos Baleba is the top midfield target, but player sales will need to be conducted before INEOS can think of bringing him in. As for the goalkeeping position, Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir have both been linked with exits, but so far, they remain at the club. In fact, the Cameroonian has not played a single minute in pre-season due to injury, but he remains confident of regaining full fitness before the season opener against Arsenal. Goalkeeping dilemma As for the Turkish ace, he has looked shaky at times, but he did save a penalty against Fiorentina. There are rumours that he wants regular minutes and is keen to leave and return to his homeland. Amorim would, ideally, like to bring in a top quality new No.1, but a lot will depend on whether the Red Devils can move on their current two options in goal. Should Bayindir depart, INEOS are likely to target a low-cost option, capable of challenging Onana for the top spot. Senne Lammens of Royal Antwerp fits the bill. As revealed by TBR Football, the 20-time English league champions are prepared to loan out Onana, and then try and secure Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris Saint-Germain. 'We are told that Man United would consider allowing Onana to leave on a loan deal should they find a new number one between the sticks. 'Manchester United are open to making changes in their goalkeeping department and Onana is aware. There is a chance to bring in a Donnarumma or Martinez, one of the best keepers in the world, and United are tempted. Brutal Andre Onana step being planned 'However, understandably there is a lot of interest in Donnarumma – him being available is something more than just United think is a great opportunity.' PSG are open to a sale, having brought in Lucas Chevalier, and The Peoples Person has already relayed that direct talks have taken place between the Italian and United. In fact, the Old Trafford side are prepared to submit an opening offer as well. Whether Onana leaves will be interesting to see. There were reports linking him with an exit earlier in the window, but with Amorim hellbent on improving the team's attack, his place seemed secure. But things could change in the last three weeks of the transfer window. online polls Follow us on Bluesky: @

Diogo Dalot tells Cristiano Ronaldo he "would love" Man Utd change he inspired

Manchester United have unveiled a new £236million training complex at Carrington ahead of the 2025/26 season in changes which follow damning criticism by Cristiano Ronaldo Sir Jim Ratcliffe has delivered what Cristiano Ronaldo demanded after leaving Manchester United, according to Diogo Dalot. Ronaldo slammed the training facilities at United after leaving the club under a cloud in January 2023 and Ratcliffe has now unveiled changes at Carrington. ‌ United have returned from their pre-season tour of the United States and moved into a new first-team complex at their training ground. The renovations were undertaken during the 2024/25 season and were part of a £236million investment by Ratcliffe and his INEOS ownership group. ‌ The petrochemicals billionaire said United now 'stands shoulder to shoulder with Coca-Cola and Apple' as one of the most recognisable brands in the world and needed a training ground to match their ambitions. It comes two and a half years after Ronaldo claimed nothing had changed between when he left for Real Madrid in 2009 and his return in 2021. ‌ "Nothing changed, surprisingly," he said in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan. "Not only the pool, the jacuzzi, even the gym. Even the kitchen, the chefs, whom I appreciate – lovely people. They stopped in time. It surprised me a lot. "I thought I would see other things, technologies and infrastructure. Unfortunately, we see a lot of what I used to see at 21, 22 and 23 years old. It really surprised me. Since [Sir Alex] Ferguson left, I haven't seen an evolution at the club. Progress is zero. You have to tear it down and rebuild it." Asked about Ronaldo's criticism, his Portugal team-mate Dalot said: "I'm sure he would love it if he would be able to see it. But overall I think the message was clear that this club deserved even more and all credit to Sir Jim and his team." ‌ He added: "I think finally we're getting to a level where this club deserves and now it's up to us, on the pitch, to also match that standard. If we're talking about a club like Man United, we should have the best facilities in the world. The big thing that I like the most is now there's going to be no excuses." United finished a lowly 15th in the Premier League last season before losing the Europa League final. They have splashed the cash this summer, signing Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, with a deal for Benjamin Sesko close, and will expect to see results on the pitch this season. 'The club has to compete at the highest level that is appropriate to the size and history of the club,' Ratcliffe said. 'While a world-class training facility won't take us to that position alone, it is one of the key ingredients in the modern facility. Now we have one. 'When I first came to Carrington two years ago, we had a presentation here. It was clear then. It is an excellent facility. It was [leading edge[ I am sure in 2000, but 25 years later it wasn't at quite the level it needed to be for one of the top four or five clubs in the world.'
