Love Island star Kyle Ashman axed before 2025 series launch

Kyle Ashman has been sent home from Majorca ahead of the show's launch on Monday, June 9. It has been reported by The Sun that he had previously been quizzed by police on suspicion of a machete attack. Kyle was one of two questioned but was released with no further action. It is not suggested that Kyle was involved in the attack. Police told the publication that after the matter had been investigated the pair were released with no further action. Kyle Ashman was set to appear on Love Island. (Image: ITV) Confirming his show exit, an ITV spokesman said: "For personal reasons, Kyle will not be entering the Love Island Villa as planned." In a statement, Kyle said: "I fully cooperated with this police investigation and made it very clear that I had no involvement in this incident. "I am not a violent person and any suggestion otherwise is a mischaracterisation." The 23-year-old water operative from Stafford, in the West Midlands, previously told ITV that he was looking for "someone that's fun, confident and just themselves". When asked if host Maya Jama would hire or fire him on his flirting skills alone, Kyle said: "Id say I'd be hired. I just go with it, find something to compliment a girl on and go from there." The 2025 line-up was confirmed yesterday (Tuesday, June 3) as a new group of singletons look for love.
