At $11.5 billion, UGold stands tall, backed by the quiet strength of Finvasia's Global Ecosystem
Redefines gold ownership with real-world backing, stable growth, and global accessibility In just two and a half years, UGold has accomplished what few digital assets ever have, growing from $6 billion to $11.5 billion in market capitalisation, all while maintaining one of the most stable price performances in the digital asset space. Presently, UGold trades seamlessly across major global exchanges, with daily volumes exceeding $100 million, and its price continues to track gold with near-perfect precision. But the peg isn't maintained through algorithms or synthetic models. It's backed by something tangible. Every UGold token is fully backed by one ounce of 99.99 per cent pure physical gold, securely stored and deliverable upon demand anywhere in the world. That certainty, of substance over symbolism, is what sets UGold apart. A product of precision and purpose UGold was developed by Genius Digital Partners, co-founded by Vasilis Oxenuk, a seasoned Wall Street investor and global fintech strategist. He was later joined by Ilya Sorokin, a respected Wall Street fintech executive and technology innovator who now serves as its CEO. Their mission was clear: to build the ultimate bridge between the timeless stability of gold and the modern efficiency of blockchain. No gimmicks and no speculative volatility. Just a trusted, scalable, and fully redeemable gold-backed token. "UGold was built to last beyond trends," said Ilya Sorokin, CEO of Genius Digital Partners. "We wanted to give the world something simple, powerful, and real, a better way to own gold. What Vasilis and I are most proud of is that we've done it consistently and without compromise. And we're deeply thankful to Tajinder Virk and Finvasia for backing us, not just with infrastructure, but with leadership, discipline, and their trademark silent strength." Finvasia's blueprint for global scale According to UGold's founders, their journey to becoming the world's largest gold-backed token would not have been possible without Finvasia, a company known for launching transformative ventures across fintech, healthtech, banking, and payments. Finvasia brought more than capital to the table. It delivered vision, leadership, execution, and infrastructure, including global regulatory frameworks, settlement systems, and a distribution network that spans Europe, the UAE, South Africa, the UK, Japan, and Australia. "UGold is proof that when vision meets execution, extraordinary things happen," said Tajinder Virk, co-founder of Finvasia. "This milestone isn't just about market cap; it's about building a product with real-world utility that has stood the test of time. We're proud to stand behind Vasilis, Ilya, and the entire UGold team as they continue to achieve remarkable things." The right innovation for a changing world UGold's rise comes at a time when global macroeconomic shifts are redefining the role of traditional assets. Gold is once again at the centre of financial strategy, appearing in central bank reserves and in the portfolios of individuals seeking stability in uncertain times. By combining the enduring value of gold with the seamless access of blockchain, UGold has evolved into more than just a digital token. It has become a modern instrument for global wealth preservation. Its perfect price tracking isn't just a feature, it's the outcome of full physical backing and a system engineered for delivery, not just digital representation. A new era of gold ownership UGold's journey has been quiet, deliberate, and rooted in fundamentals. It hasn't needed hype and perhaps that's precisely why it has succeeded. The $11.5 billion milestone marks a moment of reflection and recognition, but it's far from the final chapter. With Finvasia's continued support, and with Genius Digital Partners expanding redemption, minting, and utility capabilities, UGold is only beginning to define what trusted, tokenised ownership of real assets can look like at global scale.

Putin's ‘psycho' torturer Dr Evil who inflicted electric shocks, beatings and sexual humiliation unmasked by Ukrainians
PUTIN'S "psychotic" prison torturer known as Dr Evil has been unmasked by those who survived his reign of terror. Under the cover of a white medical coat and a balaclava, Ilya Sorokin became one of the most feared torturers inside Russia's notorious Penal Colony No. 10 in Mordovia. 6 6 6 The 34-year-old inflicted electric shocks, savage beatings and depraved sexual humiliation on Ukrainian prisoners of war. But thanks to independent journalists, working with with dozens of exchanged Ukrainian POWs, the identity of the so-called doctor has finally been exposed. The heartless dad-of-two was accused of 'pointless sadism' and a grotesque betrayal of medical ethics. One brave survivor said Sorokin's voice was 'manic, screechy… indescribable'. 'He made prisoners bark and crawl like dogs, or crow like roosters,' one said. 'One POW barked especially well and was made to do so constantly.' Former inmate Pavlo Afisov recalled: 'His favourite question for all of us was, 'Who are you?' We had to reply, 'F*****s.'' Torture in a white coat The torture wasn't random — it was systematic. According to a damning new investigation by Schemes and Current Time, corroborated by nearly 50 ex-inmates and amplified by OCCRP, Sorokin singled out prisoners for electric shocks and genital beatings. His horror methods also saw psychological torment that included mock executions and forced singing of Russian anthems. Putin's soldiers killed 'in mass poisoning by laced bottles of WATER' in suspected Ukrainian sabotage operation 'Nearly all,' the report says, 'reported having been tortured and subjected to relentless physical and psychological violence.' Sick prisoners were denied care — one, with a rotting tooth, was refused any treatment. Volodymyr Yukhymenko, a Ukrainian soldier, died from his injuries after enduring pneumonia, multiple fractures and internal bleeding. His cellmate told investigators that Sorokin refused to even examine him. When confronted by journalists, Sorokin — now working as an army medic — tried to feign innocence. 'That can't be true. I don't work there,' he said before abruptly hanging up and blocking the caller. 6 6 But damning video evidence, social media trails, and victim testimonies leave little doubt that Sorokin is Dr Evil. He lives in Potma, just 19 miles from the penal colony, where he once posed in military garb, peddled Soviet nostalgia, and performed crude comedy skits. His online posts show unwavering support for Russia's war and a chilling pride in his role. It comes after Russian troops were reportedly killed by poisoned water bottles in a suspected Ukrainian sabotage operation. At least four soldiers were said to have died in excruciating pain after drinking from bottles labelled "Our Water", allegedly supplied to the front line in a humanitarian consignment. Several others are said to be in critical condition in another major blow to Mad Vlad's invasion of Ukraine. The deadly incident, which unfolded in the Panteleimonivka area of Donetsk, has sparked horror and fury across pro-Kremlin military channels. Distressing footage seen by The Sun shows poisoned troops convulsing, moaning in agony, and slipping into unconsciousness as medics scramble to help. 6

NHL Rumor Roundup: The Latest On Ilya Sorokin, Anthony Cirelli And Mason McTavish
The New York Islanders made a bold move last month by trading defenseman Noah Dobson to the Montreal Canadiens. According to insider Frank Seravalli, they could be considering another major deal. The Hockey News' Stefen Rosner cited Seravalli's recent appearance on the Kevin Kraus Show, during which he indicated he'd heard some trade conversation about Ilya Sorokin. The 29-year-old goaltender is in the second season of an eight-year deal with an average annual value of $8.25 million. Advertisement Seravalli cited sources saying the Islanders might have sought a draft-day deal that would've sent Sorokin to the Utah Mammoth for the 2025 fourth overall pick. They would've used that pick to select Long Island native James Hagens. However, Rosner cited Islanders GM Mathieu Darche, who said he attempted to move up in the first round, but clubs were unwilling to part with their picks. He's also skeptical that Darche would move his franchise goalie if he wants the Isles to remain competitive and make the playoffs, especially with backup Semyon Varlamov coming off lower-body surgery. It's worth noting that Sorokin cannot be moved without his permission. He has a full no-movement clause through 2027-28. Ilya Sorokin (John Jones-Imagn Images) Meanwhile, Marco D'Amico cited some online speculation making the rounds regarding the Canadiens' search for a second-line center. Advertisement One rumor had Tampa Bay Lightning center Anthony Cirelli being in play, but D'Amico swatted that one down. He pointed out that the 27-year-old Cirelli is on a sweetheart contract ($6.25-million cap hit through 2030-31) with a full no-trade clause that kicked in on July 1. Even if Cirelli lacked no-trade protection, D'Amico pointed out the Lightning has no one to replace him. Considering the two-way center was a finalist this past season for the Selke Trophy, it's a safe bet that he's not going anywhere. D'Amico also had bad news for Montreal fans hoping the Canadiens might target Anaheim Ducks center Mason McTavish with an offer sheet. He cited a league source indicating the 22-year-old McTavish doesn't want to leave Anaheim. They also noted that clubs are reluctant to risk their first-rounders in what is expected to be a deep draft next year. The Ducks aren't concerned about the threat of an offer sheet for McTavish. With nearly $30 million in cap space, they can easily match any offer. Ilya Sorokin trade rumors shut down by agent amid NHL offseason buzz
USA TODAY Sports With the NHL free agency period winding down and news growing scarce, speculation has fueled trade rumors to keep the offseason lively. One of the latest names caught in that swirl is New York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin. However, Sorokin's agent, Dan Milstein, quickly ended any talk of a potential move, firmly stating that his client is not going anywhere. Ilya Sorokin's agent strongly responds to ongoing trade speculation surrounding the star goaltender As rumors picked up suggesting the New York Islanders had considered trading Ilya Sorokin, most notably to the Utah Mammoth for the No. 4 overall draft pick, his agent stepped in to set the record straight. Dan Milstein took to social media platform X to issue a strongly worded denial: 'Ilya Sorokin has a full no-trade clause and has never been part of any trade discussions — not at any point. Surprised this needs correcting, but here we are. There's a difference between reporting facts and creating buzz around yourself.' That statement put an end to speculation that the Islanders were looking to move the 28-year-old star goaltender, who is currently in the second year of an eight-year, $66 million contract signed in July 2023. With a full no-trade clause in place, any deal involving Sorokin would require his explicit approval, something his camp says hasn't even been discussed. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5-year-old girl needs her second heart surgery! Donate For Health Donate Now Undo New York Islanders committed to Ilya Sorokin as franchise cornerstone Beyond the contract details, Ilya Sorokin's performance remains a key reason why the Islanders would be reluctant to move him. Despite a bumpy 2024–25 season for the team, Sorokin still managed a .907 save percentage, a 2.71 goals-against average, and four shutouts across 61 starts. He remains firmly ranked among the NHL's top goaltenders. Injuries have also made the idea of trading Sorokin illogical. Backup goalie Semyon Varlamov is recovering from lower-body surgery, leaving the Islanders with limited goaltending depth. General manager Mathieu Darche has stressed a focus on stability and development, not roster shake-ups. Ilya Sorokin isn't going anywhere, and his agent's comments confirm that the New York Islanders remain committed to their star netminder. As offseason rumors continue to swirl across the NHL, this situation serves as a reminder that not all trade buzz is based in reality, especially when a franchise cornerstone is involved.
