Delhi Metro passengers share pics, videos as Hauz Khas station hits peak chaos again

Delhi Metro's Hauz Khas station descended into its usual peak-hour mess on Monday which left commuters stranded in unmanageable crowds. Social media timelines were flooded with images of packed corridors, overflowing platforms, and people barely finding space to no official response in sight, several X users raised their concerns online and called for immediate crowd control measures at the crucial interchange between the Yellow and Magenta chaos at Hauz Khas Metro Station during peak hours, people literally fighting to enter or exit. @OfficialDMRC needs to step up with better crowd management solutions,' a commuter wrote as they posted a photo showing the Yellow Line platform packed to the edge. Another user called the situation out with a short, pointed caption: 'Hauz Khas – Labour Chowk of corporate employees.'Hauz Khas - Labour Chowk of corporate employees Lokesh Kr Meena (@Imlokesh03) July 28, 2025One user, commenting on both metro and road traffic, said: '1. There was literally no movement,' one of the users said while posting a video of the station's choked Khas metro station connects areas like Hauz Khas Enclave, Sarvapriya Vihar, RBI Colony, and IIT Delhi, and has long been a pain point for commuters during rush hours. The station is a crucial interchange and often sees heavy footfall during office wasn't the first time the station made headlines. Just earlier this month, another video of a calm and orderly crowd at Hauz Khas had gone viral. The clip, posted by a commuter named Kiran, showed passengers moving in queues and a PA system urging them to self-regulate, something unheard of at the station on most recorded that video on July 21, and while many believed it was a rare fluke, it briefly sparked conversations online about what's possible with consistent now, the daily chaos at Hauz Khas shows no signs of slowing down. But commuters aren't staying quiet, they're posting, filming and demanding that the authorities finally step up.- Ends
