Tiger kills Pilibhit woman in third fatal attack in 2 weeks
Pilibhit: A tiger killed a woman while she was clearing weeds from her sugarcane plot near the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve on Sunday evening in Khirkiya Bargadiya village under the jurisdiction of Puranpur Kotwali police station, 150 metres from the Haripur forest range. This is the third fatal tiger attack in the district in 12 days. Laung Shree, 55, had gone to her field around 11am and was expected to return by 1pm. A search operation was initiated and her husband, Ramain, found her mangled body. Villagers said other women nearby did not hear her screams because of the noise from a tractor operating in a nearby field. "We informed the forest department as soon as the body was found, but they didn't arrive until after 6pm. We waited for hours. They ignored our calls," a villager said. Panic had already set in among residents near the reserve after two earlier tiger attacks in Nazirgang and Haripur Kishanpur villages on May 13 and 18. Forest authorities had launched a week-long operation to tranquilise the tiger suspected in those incidents but failed to capture it. "What is the point of their operation if the tiger is still roaming free?" asked another resident. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Health: This unbreakable military watch is making seniors happy this year Indestructible Smartwatch Undo SHO Satyendra Kumar told TOI that officers were sent to the spot to manage the situation, calm angry villagers and send the body for postmortem. "The situation was restored to normal," he said. Since Feb 2016, 63 people have died in man-tiger conflicts in the Pilibhit district, averaging around seven deaths per year.

International Tea Day: Ultimate ranking of all zodiac signs by their love for Tea
Tea is one of those rare treasures that brings comfort across cultures, eras, and personal moods. From soothing bedtime rituals to quiet moments of reflection, tea has earned its place as both a beloved beverage and a soulful companion. And what better occasion to celebrate its magic than International Tea Day ? Everyone has their own way of enjoying tea, but your zodiac sign might just reveal how deep your love for the leaf runs. As we sip in the spirit of the day, here's a zodiac-wise ranking of how passionately each sign connects with tea: 1. Cancer Cancer finds solace in tea like no other sign. Nostalgic and emotionally intuitive, they associate tea with home, hugs, rainy afternoons, and serene moments shared with loved ones. Their go-to choices are comforting classics like chamomile or spiced milk tea. For Cancer, tea isn't just a drink—it's a warm hug in a cup. 2. Pisces Pisces drinks tea the way others write poetry: slowly, delicately, and with great feeling. They're drawn to floral or dreamy blends and are often found sipping tea while journaling, meditating, or gazing out a window. For Pisces, tea is a portal to another realm—mystical, spiritual, and enchanting. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Incredible: The world's toughest smartwatch designed for the military Indestructible Smartwatch Undo 3. Scorpio Scorpio prefers tea that's strong, dark, and quietly intense—much like their personality. They might not broadcast their love for tea, but it's an integral part of their private rituals, from reading tarot to exploring their inner world. For Scorpio, tea is solitude and strength in liquid form. 4. Libra Libra's tea ritual is all about beauty, balance, and aesthetics. They enjoy an elegantly set tea tray, delicate china cups, and floral blends. Whether it's an intimate catch-up or a romantic moment, Libra doesn't just sip tea—they turn it into an artful experience. 5. Aquarius Aquarius is drawn to the quirky side of tea—think mushroom infusions, butterfly pea flower blends, or rare fermented Pu-erh. Their relationship with tea is more about curiosity than routine. For Aquarius, tea isn't a daily habit—it's a conversation starter and a doorway to new ideas. 6. Gemini Gemini has a love-hate relationship with tea. One week they're raving about a new green blend; the next, they've moved on to something else. They love the idea of tea, especially if it comes with a good book or a lively chat—but rarely stick to one flavor. Expect a tea shelf filled with half-finished boxes and bold experiments. 7. Taurus Taurus adores tea—for the taste, the aroma, and the texture of a cozy ceramic cup. For them, tea is a self-care ritual wrapped in warmth and often paired with delicious snacks. Taurus doesn't just sip tea—they merge with the moment it creates. 8. Virgo Virgo and tea are a harmonious pair. With their love for wellness and structure, they often have a curated tea selection: digestive blends, calming teas, and energizing options. For Virgo, tea is a mindful habit, woven into their well-organized day. 9. Capricorn Capricorn drinks tea with purpose. It's not just about enjoyment—it's about utility. One cup to power through work, another to unwind. They are creatures of routine, and when they find a blend they like, they stick with it. For Capricorn, tea is a functional tradition. 10. Leo Leo enjoys tea when it's served with flair—think high tea, gold-rimmed cups, or an upscale café. They love the experience of tea but don't necessarily drink it every day. For Leo, tea is more of a stylish indulgence than a necessity. 11. Sagittarius Sagittarius is a tea tourist. They love trying exotic teas from around the world—especially during their travels—but rarely settle on one favorite. For them, tea is a cultural tale, not a daily ritual. Still, they'll happily sip something rare in a mountaintop village. 12. Aries Aries doesn't usually have the patience for tea—unless it's strong, fast, or caffeinated. Waiting for the water to boil? Too slow. When stressed, they might reach for a cup, but tea isn't their go-to. It's too mellow for their fiery, fast-paced spirit.
