Some of the budding Indiana high school baseball stars experienced breakout seasons, while some already had a year of varsity experience under their belt. Here are the top Indianapolis-area sophomore baseball players from the 2025 season. IHSAA baseball: See who made 2025 IndyStar Super Team Ardizzone batted .383 with 37 runs scored, 20 RBIs, 11 doubles, two home runs and 17 stolen bases. The sophomore batted .407 with 33 runs scored, 30 RBIs, five doubles, six home runs, one triple and six stolen bases. Christiansen batted .387 with 24 runs scored, 23 RBIs, five doubles, four triples and six stolen bases. On the mound, Christiansen went 4-0 with a 2.96 ERA and 23 strikeouts over 28⅓ innings. Delp batted .330 with 22 runs scored, 23 RBIs, seven doubles, one home run, one triple and 24 stolen bases. On the mound, Delp went 4-2 with 18 strikeouts over 20⅔ innings. Dubie batted .457 with 22 runs scored, 13 RBIs, five doubles, two triples and 10 stolen bases. On the mound, Dubie had a 0.62 ERA and 12 strikeouts over 11⅓ innings. Grant batted .325 with 29 runs scored, 17 RBIs, six doubles and three stolen bases. Hall went 1-1 with a 2.88 ERA and 30 strikeouts over 17 innings. Hughes went 3-1 with a 1.40 ERA and 34 strikeouts over 35 innings. Keller went 5-1 with 2.40 ERA and 56 strikeouts over 61⅓ innings. At the plate, Keller batted .312 with nine runs scored, seven RBIs, four doubles and three stolen bases. The IU commit batted .320 with 44 runs scored, 18 RBIs, seven doubles, four triples, two home runs and 12 stolen bases. Meyer batted .420 with 11 runs scored, 22 RBIs, four doubles, four triples, three home runs and 10 stolen bases. Moore went 5-1 with a 1.84 ERA and 48 strikeouts over 38 innings. Westerfeld batted .394 with 27 runs scored, 22 RBIs, seven doubles, four triples, two home runs and 12 stolen bases. On the mound, Westerfeld went 5-3 with 2.22 ERA and 74 strikeouts over 53⅔ innings. Winters had a 2.83 ERA and 67 strikeouts over 42 innings. At the plate, Winters batted .250 with six runs scored, 10 RBIs, two doubles, one home run and one stolen base. Bland batted .333 with 32 runs scored, 10 RBIs, three triples and 23 stolen bases. Blondi batted .254 with 17 runs scored, 12 RBIs, two doubles, two home runs, one triple and four stolen bases. On the mound, Blondi had a 4.10 ERA with six strikeouts and one save over 13⅔ innings. Eagen batted .325 with 22 runs scored, 19 RBIs, six doubles, one home run, one triple and 14 stolen bases. Flickinger went 4-3 with a 2.84 ERA and 32 strikeouts over 32 innings. Krienhagen batted .433 with 13 runs scored, 12 RBIs, two triples, one double and four stolen bases. Moore batted .291 with 19 runs scored, 25 RBIs, five doubles, one home run and two stolen bases. Also a standout quarterback and Louisville football commit, Sorgi batted .354 with 22 runs scored, 11 RBIs, six doubles, three triples, two home runs and three stolen bases. Tolan batted .356 with 12 runs scored, 15 RBIs, seven doubles, two home runs and two stolen bases. On the mound, Tolan had a 2.56 ERA and 16 strikeouts over 13⅔ innings. Cripe batted .360 with 36 runs scored, 27 RBIs, five doubles, one home run, one triple and 11 stolen bases. Guyer batted .385 with 26 runs scored, eight RBIs, one double and 20 stolen bases. Haboush went 5-1 with a 0.53 ERA and 25 strikeouts over 26⅓ innings. Jenkins batted .366 with 25 runs scored, 16 RBIs, six doubles, three home runs, one triple and 17 stolen bases. On the mound, Jenkins had a 4.26 ERA and 42 strikeouts over 23 innings. Laughlin went 1-2 with 1.14 ERA and 28 strikeouts over 30⅔ innings. At the plate, Laughlin batted .272 with 10 runs scored, 18 RBIs, three doubles and seven stolen bases. Markus went 1-3 with a 3.98 ERA and 51 strikeouts over 38⅔ innings. Moore batted .274 with 19 runs scored, eight RBIs, six doubles, one home run, one triple and 13 stolen bases. Smith batted .392 with 16 runs scored, 21 RBIs, six doubles, two home runs and three stolen bases.

37 former Indiana high school baseball players are playing in the NCAA tournament

The NCAA baseball regionals begin Friday, the first stop on the road to Omaha, Nebraska for the College World Series. The field was selected Memorial Day and will end at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha on June 22 or 23. The road to Omaha begins Friday, though, with regional play opening at campus sites in a double elimination format. The 16 surviving teams will go to a super regional at a host site for a best-of-three series with the eight winners advancing to the College World Series. Here are 32 former Indiana high school baseball players with a chance to reach the College World Series. The New Albany grad has made 19 appearances with three starts. Biven is 3-0 with 26 strikeouts and a 4.75 ERA over 30⅓ innings. The Evansville Central grad is batting .195 with 17 runs scored, three doubles, three home runs, 11 RBIs and two stolen bases. The former Fishers star and IndyStar Super Team member has made 23 appearances for the Cardinals with two starts. Brown has a 5-4 record with 26 strikeouts and a 6.69 ERA over 39 innings. At the plate, Brown is 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored. The Carmel grad has made 19 appearances. Buczkowski is 4-0 with 44 strikeouts and a 5.68 ERA over 31⅔ innings. The Brownsburg grad is batting .400 with 66 runs scored, nine doubles, three triples, 13 home runs, 50 RBIs and 15 stolen bases. The Center Grove grad is batting .145 with 13 runs scored, one double, 10 RBIs and one stolen base. The Silver Creek grad is batting .341 with 39 runs scored, 15 doubles, three triples, 37 RBIs and nine stolen bases. The Jefferson grad played in five games as a freshman but has not appeared in a game this season. The former Lawrence Central star and IndyStar Super Team member entered as a pinch-runner against Ohio State, scoring a run. The Floyd Central grad and southpaw pitcher has not appeared in a game this season. The South Central grad from LaPorte appeared in one game, allowing one run in an inning of work. The North Central grad has not appeared for the Bearcats. The Cathedral grad is batting .282 with 19 runs scored, three doubles, one home run, 16 RBIs and seven stolen bases. Gargett has made just three errors in 54 chances in his career. The Columbus East grad has appeared in five games making one start and has been hit by two pitches and walked. Harrison has one career home run. The Forest Park grad is batting .283 with 41 runs scored, 11 doubles, six home runs, 33 RBIs and eight stolen bases. The Garrett grad has made 17 appearances. Kelham is 3-1 with 39 strikeouts and a 4.75 ERA over 30⅓ innings. The Riverton Parke grad has made 12 appearances. Lebron is 2-0 with one save, 12 strikeouts and a 3.77 ERA over 14⅓ innings. The Seton Catholic grad pitched one scoreless inning this season. He's 2-0 with a 3.09 ERA for his Hilltoppers career. The Hamilton Southeastern grad has made five appearances. Lund has 10 strikeouts and a 6.75 ERA over 5⅓ innings. The Evansville Central grad has made nine appearances with seven starts. Lyke is 2-1 with 24 strikeouts and a 4.64 ERA over 33 innings. The Bishop Chatard grad has made 12 appearances with five starts. Mastrian is 1-5 with 21 strikeouts and 8.72 ERA over 25 innings. The Castle grad is batting .261 with 12 runs scored, five RBIs and 10 stolen bases. The Zionsville grad has started 55 games this season. He's batting .302 with 51 runs scored, 10 doubles, 13 home runs and 53 RBIs. The catcher has 19 assists and a .989 fielding percentage. The Mooresville grad is batting .254 with 33 runs scored, 14 doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 31 RBIs and six stolen bases. The Mooresville grad has made nine appearances. Oliver has one save, 17 strikeouts and a 10.93 ERA over 14 innings. The Guerin Catholic grad has made nine appearances with five starts. The Carmel native is 0-1 with 15 strikeouts and an 11.29 ERA over 18⅓ innings. The Castle grad has not appeared in a game for the Wolfpack since transferring from John A. Logan. The Yorktown grad has made eight appearances with two starts. Pruitt has a 1-0 record with 19 strikeouts and a 6.48 ERA over 16⅔ innings. The former Carmel star is batting .167 with two doubles, one home run, two RBIs and six runs scored. For his career, the left-handed senior is batting .256. The Zionsville grad has made five appearances. Rossell is 1-0 with six strikeouts and an 11.34 ERA over 4⅓ innings. The Penn grad has made six appearances on the mound for Wright State. Schoetzow has a 1-1 record with a 16.50 ERA and four strikeouts over six innings. The Lake Central grad is batting .296 with 23 runs scored, six doubles, one triple, two home runs, 18 RBIs and two stolen bases. The Yorktown grad is batting .200 with seven runs scored, one home run, three RBIs and six walks. The Castle grad has made 17 appearances with five starts. Tilly is 3-3 with 58 strikeouts and a 5.00 ERA over 45 innings. The Zionsville native and right-handed pitcher has not appeared in a game this season. The Carmel grad has made one appearance this season, throwing 1⅔ scoreless innings.
