DALLAS & FORT WORTH, Texas, August 12, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry's leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components™, is an authorized global distributor of solutions from Infineon Technologies AG, a global semiconductor leader in power systems and IoT. With almost 20,000 Infineon parts available to order, and over 10,000 in stock and ready to ship, Mouser offers a wide portfolio of Infineon's newest products to help engineers bring their products to market. The Infineon Technologies XENSIV™ PAS CO2 5V sensor, now available at Mouser, consistently provides high-quality data and meets the WELL™ building standard performance requirements. Delivered in a 14 x 13.8 x 7.5 mm3 module, the sensor is four times smaller and three times lighter than NDIR equivalents. The miniature size is ideal for air purifiers, thermostats, and other smart home and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The SMD package, in tape and reel format, simplifies assembly in high-speed, high-volume manufacturing. The PSOC™ 4100T Plus microcontroller features Infineon's fifth-generation CAPSENSE™ and multi-sense technology, enabling intuitive and interactive human-machine interfaces (HMI), as well as supporting system control. This MCU supports a range of sensing applications, including capacitive sensing for detecting user touch or proximity, inductive sensing for enabling touch over metallic surfaces, Machine Learning (ML) based liquid level sensing, and CAPSENSE-based hover touch, making it a powerful tool for creating innovative and user-friendly interfaces. The CoolSiC™ G2 Silicon Carbide MOSFET series, available in a broad portfolio, leverages silicon carbide's considerable performance capabilities by enabling lower energy loss that turns into higher efficiency during power conversion. This provides strong benefits to customers for various power semiconductor applications, such as photovoltaics, energy storage, DC EV charging, motor drives and industrial power supplies. Combined with Infineon's .XT packaging technology, the CoolSiC G2 MOSFETs provide higher power density, improved thermal conductivity and reliability, thus extending the lifetime of the system. Infineon's General Purpose MOSFET portfolio meets a wide range of design, pricing, and logistical requirements for various applications. The portfolio covers the low-voltage arena up to 250V and the high-voltage portion from 500V to 900V, and includes many package options for design flexibility. The power MOSFETs from Infineon's portfolio can help increase system performance and efficiency. Reduced power losses can be achieved thanks to the low RDS(on) values and low gate and output charges. [UPDATED] Anwar: Revised US tariffs won't impact Malaysia's semiconductor sector
PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia's semiconductor industry will not be significantly affected by the revised United States tariffs, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Anwar said the companies impacted were either American firms or ones that would continue to invest and produce in the US. "Many of you brought up anxieties about the tariffs on semiconductors this morning. Before this, we were exempted," he said. "Most of these companies are American companies or companies that will continue its investments and production in America. "As of now, I think there is no effect. It's just that there are few that are excluded from the tariff conditions." He cited the German-based Infineon Technologies, which he previously said could potentially invest RM30 billion in Malaysia, had sufficient demand in Europe. "We are monitoring the situation," Anwar added. The prime minister was speaking during his closing address at the firstBudget 2026 engagement session between the government and nearly 300 stakeholders, here, today. Earlier, Finance Minister II, Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan said that Budget 2026, to be tabled on Oct 10, will focus on enhancing Malaysia's competitive edge in high-value industries such as semiconductors, renewable energy, the Islamic economy, digitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI), while also "raising the floor" through inclusive and targeted measures.
