Infinix Hot 60 5G announced with Dimensity 7020 and 5,200mAh battery

Infinix launched two new Hot 60 Pro series phones yesterday, and we now have another entry – the Hot 60 5G. This one features MediaTek's Dimensity 7020 chipset with full 5G support, unlike the rest of the Hot 60 series, which are limited to 4G connectivity. Infinix Hot 60 5G Hot 60 5G is built around a flat 6.7-inch IPS LCD (FHD+ 120Hz) and Panda Glass protection. The panel is rated at up to 700 nits peak brightness and features an 8 MP front-facing camera. There's a 50MP main shooter with an f/1.6 aperture around the back, which is paired with two unspecified auxiliary sensors. The phone is IP64-rated against water and dust and features a dedicated AI button which quickly launches the Folax smart assistant. You also get a 3.5mm audio jack, an FM Radio receiver and expandable storage thanks to its microSD card slot. Hot 60 5G packs a 5,200mAh battery with 18W charging and it supports bypass charging and reverse wired charging over USB. The software side is covered by XOS 15, based on Android 15, with Infinix pledging two years of security patches. Infinix Hot 60 5G comes in Shadow Blue, Tundra Green, Sleek Black, and Caramel Glow colors. The 6/128GB trim is priced at INR 10,499 ($122). First sales in India start on July 15 from the official Infinix online store. Infinix Hot 60 5G

Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ to have more battery than Galaxy S25 Edge, lighter body

A couple of weeks ago, we exclusively shared some images comparing the unannounced Infinix Hot 60 Pro+'s slim design to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. We also told you that the Hot 60 Pro+ would pack a massive battery. Well, the same source has now shared an image of the Hot 60 Pro+'s "My Phone" screen with us, revealing the Hot 60 Pro+'s key specs, including its battery capacity. The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ will have a 5,160 mAh battery under the hood, which is impressive considering its 5.95mm thickness. In comparison, the current hot super slim phone Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is 5.8mm thick and packs a 3,900 mAh battery. Not just that, the Galaxy S25 Edge weighs 163.8g while the Hot 60 Pro+ tips the scale at 154.6 g. Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge We presume Infinix has used the Silicon-Carbon battery for the Hot 60 Pro+, which allowed it to pack a higher capacity battery in a body slimmer than the Galaxy S25 Edge. Infinix might one-up the Galaxy S25 Edge in the charging department as well since we are told the Hot 60 Pro+'s charging speed will be faster than the Hot 50 Pro+'s, which is 33W. For those unaware, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge charges at a measly 25W. Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge The image we received reveals that the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+'s 2,400x1,080-pixel resolution curved display will have a centered punch-hole for the 13MP selfie camera. The primary camera on the rear will feature a 50MP sensor. The phone, bearing model code X6886, will have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but there could be more memory configurations that are yet to be confirmed. The "My Phone" screen reveals that the Hot 60 Pro+ is running XOS 15.1.0, and powering the smartphone is Helio G200 Ultimate SoC. MediaTek introduced the Helio G200 last month, and Tecno announced its Spark 40 series, launching globally in July, will be the first to use the G200. However, our source tells us that the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ is also scheduled to launch in July, so it remains to be seen which of these brands will be the first to bring the Helio G200-powered smartphone to market. Galaxy S25 Edge competitor to break world record while looking like older Edge phones

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is out, and the tech industry is now waiting for its direct rival: the iPhone 17 Air. However, another competitor is already being mass-produced and is poised to break a world record for the slimmest smartphone with a curved screen. The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ is going to be 5.95 mm thick, which means it's ever so slightly behind the Galaxy S25 Edge , which measures at 5.8 mm. But the Hot 60 Pro+ also does something that the Samsung phone — despite having 'Edge' in the name — does not. The Infinix phone will have curved edges for its screen, something that older Samsung Galaxy Edge phones used to do. In addition to breaking the aforementioned world record, the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ will also very likely come with a better battery than the Galaxy S25 Edge . Samsung's slim flagship has a battery capacity of 3,900 mAh, and Infinix may try to beat that by including a high-density battery in the Hot 60 Pro+. The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ also seems to be going for Samsung's iconic triple-camera setup on the rear. Many tech enthusiasts are still asking why the Galaxy S25 Edge exists and why phone manufacturers are pivoting towards even slimmer phones with smaller batteries. It very much seems like a contest taking place between these companies, rather than innovation that users have asked while the phone looks quite good on paper, I am a bit wary of Infinix phones in general after my experience with them. In most regions where the company operates — usually developing markets with less buying power — its phones are filled with advertisements. These can usually be toggled off, but they're often enabled again after a software update. Other than that, however, Infinix phones provide really good value for your money. According to reports, the iPhone 17 Air will beat both the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ and the Galaxy S25 Edge in thickness. It will measure at just 5.5 mm, but it will also come with a laughably low 2,800 mAh battery, and it's highly unlikely that Apple will use a high-density battery. So if you're into super slim phones…pick your poison, I suppose.
