Indiana Pacers star guard Tyrese Haliburton proposed to his girlfriend, Jade Jones, at center court of Hilton Coliseum at Iowa State where both attended college. On one knee next to hundreds or rose petals and a large lighted sign that read 'WILL YOU MARRY ME?' Haliburton had an engagement ring. She said yes. 'The place where our story started, and where our next chapter begins❤️💍,' Haliburton wrote on Instagram. Haliburton was also wearing a walking boot to help recover from a torn Achilles tendon sustained in the NBA Finals against Oklahoma City last month and a knee walker was next to Haliburton to help him keep weight off that leg. Haliburton and Jones met at Iowa State – he played for the men's basketball team and she was a cheerleader – and have been dating since college. Haliburton played two seasons at Iowa State and was the No. 12 pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 2020 NBA Draft. The Kings traded Haliburton to Indiana in 2022, and he helped the Pacers reach the Finals this season. He won a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics and made the All-NBA team the past two seasons.

Tyrese Haliburton knows he has a long road ahead to returning to basketball after suffering a torn Achilles in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. But he'll head into that recovery with the support of his fiancée. The Pacers star and longtime girlfriend Jade Jones announced their engagement on Monday, and Haliburton traced his proposal back to where they met at Iowa State. In a photo on the court of Hilton Coliseum, Haliburton dropped to a knee in front of a huge "Will you marry me" sign. We could see as Haliburton was wearing a walking boot and got off a knee scooter to pop the question. Seriously, a roller scooter has never looked cooler. Congrats to them both.

Tyrese Haliburton's rehab will include wedding planning as he gets engaged to long-time girlfriend
Tyrese Haliburton will have no problem staying busy while he recovers from an Achilles tendon tear. Among other things, he'll be planning a wedding. The Indiana Pacers two-time All-NBA point guard posted pictures and video to his Instagram account Monday of his proposal this weekend to long-time girlfriend Jade Jones. The two met at Iowa State where Haliburton played his college ball and Jones was a cheerleader, so Haliburton carried out the proposal there at halfcourt of Hilton Coliseum. Haliburton had the lights in the arena turned off but big light-up letters at center court spelling out "Will You Marry Me" with rose petals in front of the letters. He got down on one knee despite the fact that he's still in a walking boot. The scooter he's been getting around on is in the shot. Haliburton also posted photos after the engagement of the two on campus. He captioned the post "The place where our story started and where our next chapter begins."
