Inter Milan Vice-President Sends Message Of Support To Mehdi Taremi Amid Iran-Israel War: ‘We're Sticking Close To Him'
Inter Milan Vice-President Sends Message Of Support To Mehdi Taremi Amid Iran-Israel War: 'We're Sticking Close To Him' Inter Milan Vice-President Javier Zanetti says the Nerazzurri are 'sticking close to' Mehdi Taremi amid Israeli airstrikes on Iran. The Nerazzurri Vice-President spoke to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews. He also backed Cristian Chivu to do a good job as Inter coach. Advertisement Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi is currently unable to leave his home country of Iran. The plan had been for the former Porto striker to join his Inter teammates in the United States for the Club World Cup this weekend. However, the unexpected development of Israeli airstrikes have changed all of that. The Israeli strikes which began on Thursday evening have naturally closed off Iranian airspace. Taremi had hoped to fly from Iran to the US. However, it was unsafe to do so. And right now, it is far from clear when that might change. The Israeli strikes show little sign of stopping, whilst Iran have responded with fire of their own within Israel as the conflict escalates. Pakistan Says to Stand by Iran 'In Every Way'
Pakistan voiced full support to Iran on Saturday, with its defense minister saying that Islamabad stands by Tehran 'in every way.' As he addressed a session of Pakistan's National Assembly, DM Khawaja Asif said the Zionist entity attacked Iran last night, targeted its military installations, and killed its military leaders. 'We stand by Iran in every way. We will protect Iranian interests,' Asif said as quoted by 'In this entire situation, Israel is not acting alone,' he remarked, noting that Iran is a neighboring country of Pakistan and 'we have centuries-old relations'. 'In this time of trial, we stand by Iran in every way. We will protect Iranian interests. Iranians are our brothers, and their grief and pain are shared.' 'Israel is targeting Yemen, Iran, and Palestine—therefore, unity in the Muslim world is essential,' Asif emphasized and warned: 'If we remain silent and disunited today, then everyone will be targeted eventually'. ⚡️🇮🇷🇮🇱🇵🇰 BREAKING:#Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif announced full support for Iran.#Iran #IranIsraelWar #IranIsraelConflict #IranUnderAttack #Israel #IsraelIranWar #IsraelTerroristState #israil #Irán #Tehran #Tahran #TruePromise3 #إسرائيل #طهران #طهران_تحت_القصف… — The Arab Eye (@TheArabEye0) June 14, 2025 He underlined that a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should be called and that all Muslim nations must unite to confront Israel. The Pakistani DM highlighted that even non-Muslim populations in the West are protesting against 'Israel'. 'Their conscience has awakened—unlike the Muslim world,' he said. Pakistan has stood firm on its position since day one, Asif said, adding: 'It has neither recognized Israel nor established relations.' He called on all Muslim countries to sever ties with the Zionist entity. 'Israel's hands are stained with the blood of Muslims, and such hands should be rejected.' 'Iran Has Right to Self-Defense' Earlier on Friday, Pakistan's United Nations Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad criticized the Zionist entity for launching attacks against Iran, saying that Tehran has the right to self-defense under the UN Charter. At a UN Security Council briefing meeting on the Iran-Israel tensions on Friday, Ahmed said Israeli war on Gaza and repeated cross-border strikes in Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen demonstrate a consistent disregard for international norms.
