"Pray for Me" - Mohamed Sami Announces Retirement from TV Drama Directing - Jordan News

In a surprise to his fans, Egyptian director Mohamed Sami announced his retirement from directing television dramas via his official Facebook account, after a successful career that spanned 15 years. اضافة اعلان Sami explained that his decision was driven by his desire to travel for two years to study a new field he has always dreamed of working in, as well as his fear of falling into the trap of repetition. He revealed that the Ramadan 2025 season would be his last in drama, during which he presented the series "Ish Ish" and "Sayid Al-Nas," stressing that he felt fully satisfied with his work and the successes he achieved. Sami confirmed that his decision was not sudden, but rather came after careful thought. However, he chose to delay its announcement out of respect for his commitments to the companies and stars he had worked with. He also expressed his happiness with the success of his two recent series, thanking everyone who supported him throughout his career, including directors who were competitors, whom he considered a constant source of motivation for excellence. In the conclusion of his message, Mohamed Sami wished success to young directors in Egypt and the Arab world, affirming that drama would always remain a part of his soul, even if he chose to step away from it.
