Photo: JLo/Instagram Jennifer Lopez was reportedly turned away from shopping at Chanel in Istanbul last week, a day before rocking the Turkish capital as part of her summer tour. The singer, 56, was shopping at high-end mall Istinye Park on Monday when a guard at Chanel told her the store was at full capacity, according to Turkiye Today. 'OK, no problem,' the Bronx-born A-lister answered, cool as a very wealthy, very famous cucumber. Employees later invited her to shop at Chanel, but Lopez declined, per local business outlet Patronlar Dunyasi. She reportedly went on to spend tens of thousands of dollars at other designer stores like Celine. A representative for Lopez did not respond to the Daily News' request for comment. A day after the reported incident, Lopez performed at the Istanbul Festival at Yenikapi Festival Park as part of her Up All Night Tour. She also played the Turkish city of Antalya late last month. The current tour comes a year after Lopez's infamously cancelled This Is Me… Live Tour to promote her This Is Me… Now album, largely centred on her reconciliation with Ben Affleck. Colloquially known as Bennifer, the couple was engaged in the early aughts and got back together in spring 2021. They tied the knot in two ceremonies in summer 2022, with Lopez filing for divorce on the second anniversary of the latter wedding. The split was legally finalised earlier this year. Jennifer Lopez showed no signs of irritation at being unable to step inside one of the stores of the French luxury brand. As per reports, she calmly responded, 'Okay, no problem,' before walking away without any noticeable reaction. Later, the boutique staff approached her with an invitation to enter, but this time, Lopez declined the offer cordially After the Chanel incident, Jennifer Lopez was spotted spending over three hours at upscale fashion outlets in the neighbourhood. Some of them included French luxury brand Celine and Turkish brand Beymen. As per Turkiye Today, the Can't Get Enough singer purchased approximately tens of thousands of dollars. Istanbul marked Jennifer Lopez's second visit to Turkey this year. Earlier, on July 23, 2025 she put up a power-packed performance at the Regnum Carya Resort Hotel, and the very next day, rang in her 56th birthday at the same venue. On July 25, 2025 Jennifer Lopez dropped a post on Instagram, offering fans a peek into her birthday celebration in Turkey. The reason behind her non- admission was allegedly down to the fact that the store had reached capacity. According to news outlet Turkiye Today, the mum of two, took the news well and replied "Okay, no problem." The singer, who recently divorced Hollywood actor Ben Affleck was invited back by staff at Chanel. However, after being denied access, she took it upon herself to visit other high-end stores including Celine. It comes after Kerry Katona reveals devastating her health condition after split from ex-fiancé. Last month, Jennifer suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction while on stage as her skirt fell off. The star, had performed in Warsaw, Poland on July 25 wearing a gold bikini top and matching skirt but as her dancers sang happy birthday to her, her skirt fell off as she sauntered across the stage. But ever the professional, Jennifer, better known as JLO twirled in her gold undergarments and said: "I'm out here in my underwear ... That's gonna be everywhere." In a state of panic, one of her dancers tried to reattach the skirt as the birthday celebrations continued but she simply laughed off the incident. She told the crowd: "I'm glad that they reinforced that costume. And I'm glad I had underwear on. I don't usually wear underwear …" She added: "Guys I gotta tell you ... Yes you can keep it (the skirt) I don't want it back. I don't want it back you can have it forever and ever." She continued: "I am so thankful to be here in beautiful Warsaw on my birthday. " "I gotta tell you, surrounded by my incredible dancers, my band, my crew, everybody - I am so blessed. I don't usually give any advice to anybody because I feel like we're all on our own specific journey …," she said. She concluded her speech saying: "If I had one little piece of advice for you, it would be to do what you love, find what you love, do it, and do it with people that you love, and then you will have the most amazing life." She added: " I can say that firsthand."
