Palestinian Factions, Iran-Backed Iraqi Militias, Jihadi Clerics Celebrate Deadly Shooting At Jewish Event In Washington DC By Pro-Palestinian Activist Who Yelled 'Free Palestine!'

On May 21, 2025, a shooting attack took place outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., where the American Jewish Committee was holding an event for young professionals. The attack resulted in the deaths of two Israeli Embassy employees. [1] Various jihadi outlets and groups published posts celebrating the incident and lauding its perpetrator. Palestinian Mujahideen Movement Claims Attack Is Response To Israeli Crimes In Gaza; Pro-Hamas 'Gaza Now' Telegram Channel Glorifies Attacker On May 22, the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement issued a statement in response to the attack, claiming that it reflected "growing global anger" over Israel's "barbaric crimes" in Gaza and declaring Israel's "ongoing impunity" a "threat to international stability and peace." The group urged the international community and global institutions to "rein in" Israel and bring an end to its war against "innocent" civilians.[2] On the same day, the pro-Hamas Gaza Now media outlet wrote a post on its Telegram channel, glorifying the suspected attacker, Elias Rodriguez, claiming that although he is not a Muslim, he couldn't ignore what's happening in Gaza "while the world remains silent." The post concluded that "in a moment of courage, he decided to make his voice heard and boldly confront the killers. He opened fire, killing an Israeli employee, and stood defiantly, handcuffed, to raise the banner of justice in the face of injustice" as he shouted "free Palestine."[3] Telegram Channel Affiliated With Iran-Backed Militias In Iraq Describes Attack As 'Heroic' On May 21, "unit 10000," a Telegram channel affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq, shared a video showing the arrest of the suspect, describing the shooting as a "heroic attack" against "the Zionist entity."[4] Anti-Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) Telegram Channel Lauds Perpetrator For Supporting Palestine; Syrian Cleric Urges Muslims To Follow His Example On May 22, the "Al-Suri Al-Muhajir" Telegram channel, which opposes Syrian jihadi group Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS), published a post celebrating the attack and lauding its perpetrator, who reportedly carried it out in support of Gaza and Palestine. The post included a photo of the suspect. In a subsequent post, the channel stated: "When a communist takes revenge for the people of Gaza, you wish all Arab rulers would be crucified and then their skins flayed!"[5] On May 22, Syrian jihadi cleric Abu Yahya Al-Shami published a post on Telegram praising the the shooter, and urged Muslims to follow his example. The post also criticized Muslim "indolence" in waging jihad, blaming Islamic preachers for diminishing interest in jihad and asserting that "infidels" are now carrying out such attacks while Muslims remain "inactive."[6]

Iran-Linked Youth Group Shares Video Of Shi'ite Muslim Rally In Michigan: 'Dearborn Is The Outcry Of Support For Palestine That Makes America's Heart Tremble'

On April 17, 2025, "The Global Front Of Resistance Youth," an Iran-backed group that promotes anti-U.S. and anti-Israel "resistance" ideology among youth, posted on its Arabic- and Farsi-language Telegram channels a one-minute promotional video describing Dearborn, Michigan, as the central point of support for Palestine in America. [1] The Global Front for Resistance Youth: "Here Is America…" "Dearborn, Michigan, is America's first city with a Muslim majority. It is the place where the banner of Hussayn, peace be upon him, always flies, and the outcry of support for Palestine the oppressed rises up, making the heart of America tremble," reads the post, which promoted the hashtag: #An_Outcry_Without_Frontier. Imam Hussayn is the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad and the son of the fourth Caliph, Ali Ibn Abi Talib. He is regarded as the third imam in Shi'ite Islam. His suffering and martyrdom became a symbol of sacrifice in the struggle for right against wrong. The video documents pro-Palestine protests and gatherings, as well as scenes from the "March for Justice Annual Procession," held in July 2024, organized by the Ashura Project, a Shi'ite institution that promotes the values of Imam Hussayn in the Detroit-Metro community. Camera drones and a helicopter flying an "O Hussayn" banner were used during the event: "The Ashura Project is an effort of dedicated individuals of all ages to reflect on the legacy of the event of Ashura, raise awareness of its messages for humanity, and help the Detroit-Metro community understand its life-changing significance,' according to the Ashura Project website. [2] Significant Outreach Potential: Ties To The Iranian State, IRGC, Palestinian Groups, And Iraqi Militias "The Global Front for Resistance Youth," which describes itself as a popular movement based in Qom, Iran, claims to have thousands of Shi'ite youth members from around the world. The group is affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and is believed to be a state-run organization that conducts annual conferences and events aimed at mobilizing youth in support of Iran's international and regional agenda. [3] The organization runs two Telegram channels, in Farsi and in Arabic, with subscribers numbering 166,942 and 159,514 respectively. The organization's director, Ismail Bor Hawashimi, maintains close ties with militia leaders in Baghdad, such as Hadi Al-Ameri, the head of Iraq's Iran-backed Badr Organization, whom he met in Baghdad on August 13, 2024. [4] During the first few weeks of the Gaza war, The Global Front for Resistance Youth's Telegram channel in Farsi has been sharing fliers suggesting that supporters could hand out fliers at "gatherings" to influence public opinion about the Hamas attack on Israel, codenamed "Al-Aqsa Flood." [5] The Arabic channel also promoted posts featuring anti-Israel, and anti-U.S. slogans in English, suggesting that they be used at anti-Israel student protests. On October 21, 2023, the group platformed Hamas's representative in Tehran, Khalid Al-Qadoumi, filming a video of him urging supporters around the world to donate, describing the group as a popular support group that comprises young elites and which has a good reputation for providing social work and humanitarian aid. London-Based Al-Qaeda Ideologue: Military Rule In Egypt Antagonizes Islam And Shari'a, Egypt Must Be Liberated From 'Army Of Mischief'; 'It Is Either Islam, Or The Military'

On April 13, 2025, the "Nahar Al-Da'wah [River of Preaching]" Telegram channel, which is affiliated with London-based Egyptian Al-Qaeda ideologue Hani Al-Siba'i, reposted a summary of a lecture titled "The Republic of Militar-istan and Egypt's Army of Mischief," accusing the government of Egypt of antagonizing Muslims and secularizing public life. Al-Siba'i called on Muslims to liberate Egypt, arguing that the country is a land of Islam and will remain as such. [1] "Egypt Will Never Enjoy Security As Long As President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi And His Military Clique Are In Power" Al-Siba'i began the lecture, which was also shared on the cleric's website "Risalat Widd" [2] and his personal account on X (formerly Twitter), [3] by saying that Egypt will never enjoy security as long as President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi and his military clique are in power, protecting the edifices of secularism and allowing all sorts of assaults on Islam and Muslims. The Egyptian army, he stated, is an army of mischief that occupies Egypt, and which turned it into a den of malice, treason, and immorality. According to Al-Siba'i, exposing the military junta and its henchmen: the judiciary, media, imams, priests, and all the misguided who blindly who follow every loudmouth, is "a religious necessity," noting that Egypt's military does not fight for the sake of Allah, but rather for the sake of America and the enemies of Islam. "Does it support and befriend the believers? Or does it support and cozy up to the nonbelievers? This army, since its founding, has been hostile to Islam and stands against the empowerment of Islamic shari'a," he added. "The Egyptian Army Besieges Muslims In Egypt, Libya, Palestine, Syria, And Elsewhere" He further explained that the military has always been hostile to Muslims: "It fights them, kills them, and conspires against them! It is an army that befriends and supports the believers, protects their interests, and besieges Muslims in Egypt, Libya, Palestine, Syria, and elsewhere." Citing a Quran verse to corroborate the religious designation of an army that allies with non-Islamic parties against Muslims, the cleric states that it is manifestly clear that the Egyptian army fights for causes other than Islam, and it therefore meets the divine command to the believers to fight it. "Liberate Your Country From The Army Of Mischief" He calls on the people of Egypt to disassociate from the "criminal sect" of the army and the police, saying that the name of Egypt under the rule of the military has become synonymous with atheism, polytheism, hypocrisy, and debauchery, and urges them to act to change the form of government in Egypt. "Oh Muslims in Egypt, liberate your country from the army of mischief! Liberate your country from militarism! Egypt is not the land of the military. It is the bastion of Islam and will remain so... Hold your head high, you are a Muslim. Islam is supreme and nothing is superior to it. Say it loudly and do not hesitate." "It is either Islam, or the military," he declares.

Pro-Hamas Telegram Outlet Calls For Anti-Israel Protesters To Besiege American Embassies Around The World On April 25

On April 17, 2025, the pro-Hamas "Shehab News Agency" shared a poster on its Telegram channel inciting anti-Israel protesters around the world to besiege American embassies in their country. [1] The poster depicts Palestinian flags surrounding a building identified in an Arabic text as "the American Embassy." The poster also depicts the walls of the embassy building dripping blood. The text on the top reads: "Gaza Calls: Besiege the embassies." The channel claims that the poster is being circulated by activists who wants to mark "the International Day Of Gaza," scheduled for April 25, by besieging U.S. embassies across the world.
