James Norton sparks fresh rumours of a romance with socialite Flora Huddart - just weeks after he partied with Lily Allen
James Norton has sparked fresh rumours of a romance with socialite Flora Huddart – just weeks after he partied with singer and actress Lily Allen at a festival. The actor, 40, was pictured with Ms Huddart for the first time on a stroll in north London at the weekend. Happy Valley star Norton was casually dressed in a black T-shirt, khaki shorts, neon green socks, trainers and cap, while Ms Huddart wore a red top with loose trousers. It comes hot on the heels of the actor partying with Ms Allen at Lido Festival in east London on June 14, where the pair had their fans talking after being seen cosying up to each other as they chatted and danced together. However, two weeks later Norton was reportedly seen holding hands with Ms Huddart at the NYC Downlow nightclub at the Glastonbury festival. Ms Huddart is the daughter of Vogue stylist Arabella Huddart and the sister of Georgiana Huddart, co-founder of cult swimwear brand Hunza G. Ms Allen, 40, ended her four-year marriage to Stranger Things actor David Harbour, 50, last December after reportedly discovering that he had a secret profile on the exclusive dating app Raya. Norton's love life has also made headlines in recent years. He dated his War And Peace co-star Jessie Buckley from 2015 to 2017 and was engaged to the actress Imogen Poots, but they split after six years together in 2023. Late last year he had a brief romance with Prada model Charlotte Rose Smith, 25. Neither Norton nor Ms Huddart have confirmed their relationship. Last month James said he is 'crazily grateful for the pain' of his split from Imogen. The actor got engaged to the 28 Weeks Later actress, 36, in 2022 after four years together, but they split in 2023. The Little Women star now views Imogen's decision to end their relationship as a 'gift'. Speaking at this year's Glastonbury Festival, James told The Sun: 'It was a gift in a weird, roundabout way. They were enjoying a low key stroll 'She called it. She realised it wasn't working - I'm crazily grateful for the pain she caused me.' James admitted the split was a 'massive' moment in his life because he thought he and Imogen were going to raise a family together. He said: 'I got broken up with and it was massive. I thought I was going to have kids. The life I thought I was going to have disappeared at 38.' The Happy Valley actor previously insisted he hasn't given up hope of having a family, despite the end of his engagement. He told The Sunday Times: 'Getting older is a struggle if you are freaking out about the choices you've made, but I don't carry regret. 'And, you know, some of the choices recently weren't mine, yet I don't feel begrudging. Maybe next year I'll have a family and a relationship ... 'You have a certain amount of control over your life and choices you make, and at other times you don't. 'But if you made those choices or not, it's a shame to spend time agonising over either.' They were seen out together over the weekend And despite his desire to have children, James doesn't think it would have been 'fair' for him to start a family in recent years. He said: 'I don't sit on set where I'm playing a dad and feel sad and broody. 'I love hanging out with kids - most of my friends have kids so I'm not quite in step with my peers - but the past few years have been the busiest I've been, so it would not have been fair to bring a child into that. 'Also, the inherently unfair benefit of being a man is there is less rush. I am lucky I can have kids later, so now I'm happy, actually, with my life. I feel really excited by the choices I've made.'

James Norton spotted filming huge new role for very first time
Happy Valley star James Norton's latest acting role has been unveiled and he's due to star alongside some big names, including Matt Smith James Norton has been pictured on the set of his latest acting project for the very first time, as he gets set to make his debut in hit series House of the Dragon. James, famed for starring in the likes of Happy Valley and Grantchester, was spotted filming scenes for the third season of the Game of Thrones spin-off alongside Matt Smith, who plays Daemon Targaryen. James will be portraying Ormund Hightower, the head of the powerful House Hightower, and could be seen surrending his sword to Daemon in the snaps. It is unclear if Ormund is surrending or allying himself with Daemon in the scenes. In the rare glimpse into filming, the stars could be seen acting in the Surrey countryside. James was snapped in full costume, which feature his house's colours of greens and silvers. A release date for the third season of House of the Dragon is yet to be confirmed. After the premiere of the second series last year, it was confirmed that the show had been renewed. Filming commenced in March and it's currently predicted that the third series will land at some point in 2026. The season will consist of eight episodes, with the story of the Targaryen civil war continuing. Fans of the show were left disappointed with the end of the second season, with many even issuing complaints over how it concluded. House of the Dragon had been teasing big battle scenes between two Targaryen factions as Prince Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) tried to force his sister Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) to fight as a dragonrider. Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel) prepared for battle with the stark army marching south to support Rhaenyra's claim. At the time, fans took to social media to complain about the ending, as it did not live up to expectations. One person said: "Rhaena's been tracking this damn dragon all season and I don't get to see her claim it?! Ryan Condal when I catch you!" "I'm tired of things being put into motion. BE IN MOTION," another person fumed on X. House of the Dragon was created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal, and is a prequel to hit series Game of Thrones, which finished in 2019. It is the second series in George's A Song of Ice and Fire franchise. House of the Dragon is based on parts of George's 2018 book Fire & Blood, and begins around 100 years after the Seven Kingdoms are united by the Targaryen conquest. This is nearly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The show focuses on the events leading up to the decline of House Targaryen, a war known as the Dance of the Dragons. House of the Dragon is available to watch on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV

James Norton's famous dad chats to Anna Wintour at Wimbledon... do you think he's getting the lowdown on why she left Vogue?
James Norton 's famous father Hugh was spotted chatting with former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour at Wimbledon on Friday. Anna, 75, stepped down from her iconic role at the fashion publication after an impressive 37-year tenure last month. She appeared to be enjoying her time off in the Royal Box, surrounded by a star-studded crowd as the men's semi-final matches played out. Wearing a white floral dress, Anna was seated next to actor James, 39, and his father Hugh. At one point, the trio were seen in deep conversation, sparking curiosity about what the former editor might have been sharing during the lively exchange. While many know James as the actor who has starred in Happy Valley, you may not know his retired father has also been on the box. Hugh has featured alongside his son in War and Peace, Grantchester, and also made a cameo appearance in BBC thriller McMafia. The scene, which happened 20 minutes into the episode, saw Hugh dressed in a beige suit, turquoise shirt and a cravat and talking to two younger men outside a bar. And whilst his appearance might have been fleeting, it was more exotic than previous TV cameos as it involved flying out to Croatia for filming last year. James, who plays the lead character Alex Godman, revealed his father was thrilled to have been promoted from an unnamed extra to the character of a 'sugar daddy' on the call sheet. Speaking to BBC Radio 2, James said he enjoys bringing his parents with him on shoots around the world, including Lithuania, where he filmed War and Peace. On his dad's appearances, he said: 'He is in pretty much every show I do. My family have nothing to do with this industry. 'They stand on the sidelines bemused and very supportive, but have no idea what's going on. 'My dad is recently retired from working as a lecturer at a college near Hull, and it's a really great way for him and my mum to see the world.' He continued: 'So my dad comes and dresses up as these mad characters, and my mum sits of the sidelines and just laughs at him. And they love it.' James added his father 'fancied himself as a count' for the adaptation about the French invasion of Russia in 1812, but ended up as a Cossack. Hugh, a former lecturer at Hull School of Art and Design, has made a habit of securing cameo roles in his son's TV work. In 2014, he appeared in a smart tuxedo in Lady Chatterley's Lover, while in 2016 he played a peasant in War and Peace, also for the BBC. He and his wife Lavinia, also a teacher, shared a scene with their son in the third series of ITV's Grantchester, appearing as extras at a ball.
